Hayley has been my “queer icon” since I was a young teenager years ago. When I saw her perform “Kiss the Girl” I lost it.. I love what Disney is doing with the representation. It feels genuine and not just a “corporate cash grab”. I’m a sucker for representation and this is so great.

Fully in tears through this whole thing. I didn't catch it during pride month, but oh my lord...Beautiful perfection doesn't even do it justice. I grew up with all of these wonderful movies, running around my house singing all of the different tracks, but as I grew up and began to start feeling the burn of society for being "different", for being gay, they've always been a comfort for me. This was absolutely beautiful, and never did I expect to see the community represented in such a beautiful way. Disney has changed so much through the years... and I mean it in a bad way, God bless families with children that watch cartoons, they need to be careful of what they learn and watch, the kids don't have knowledge of consenting or thinking right. Sometimes parents can't teach kids right so the internet sometimes is their only hope teaching them the right way and obviously in their 2009 ways, meaning that cartoon don't need to include any culture or any social issues to cartoons.

I watched this specifically for Hayley Kiyoko (and she absolutely killed that performance 🥺💙) but this whole special was really cute!
Disney has changed so much through the years... and I mean it in a bad way, God bless families with children that watch cartoons, they need to be careful of what they learn and watch, the kids don't have knowledge of consenting or thinking right. Sometimes parents can't teach kids right so the internet sometimes is their only hope teaching them the right way and obviously in their 2009 ways, meaning that cartoon don't need to include any culture or any social issues to cartoons.
