For years I have been collecting half-empty spools, and now I even have the remnants of thread used.

  • Over the years of creative experience, I was faced with the problem of accumulation of various materials, and it turned out, among other things, I had a whole box of half-empty spools of thread in various colors! As a true needlewoman, I always regret throwing away the leftover materials, so I decided to take on the processing of these threads.
It took me some time, and on reflection, I remembered a forgotten decorative technique - appliqué, and this is an ideal way to give a second life to unnecessary threads!
I twist the threads into a bundle, confusing them with each other.
I take a piece of interlining and spread the decorative form on the adhesive side.
I press it with an iron, glue the threads on the interlining.
I mark the tracing paper in the form of a stitch, apply it to the application.
I sew according to the markup.
    I tear off the caliper.
Tracing paper is thin and easily comes off without breaking the line.
Carefully cut the outline of the heart.
    Attached to a T-shirt.
    I sew an application.
A simple basic T-shirt instantly transformed!
Using leftover thread for decoration is not only a great way to reduce waste, but also an opportunity to express your creative personality and create unique clothes. In addition, this is a very exciting process - you can show your imagination and create simple shapes in this way: stars, letters, numbers and even flowers!
