I no longer buy summer hats in stores, but I sew them myself, it's so simple and almost for nothing

In the warm season, the dacha becomes for me a cozy refuge from the bustle of the city. I love to take care of my garden, but the scorching sun can become an obstacle to my garden passion, because the sun's rays are very harmful to the skin and head.
I wanted to add a touch of creativity to my country wardrobe and sew myself a cute summer hat made of cotton fabric. Such an accessory will allow me to enjoy summer vacations and work in the garden without worrying about the possible negative effects of ultraviolet radiation. Of course, you can buy an ordinary hat in the store, but I like to create things with my own hands, besides, this way I can choose the material that I like. Cotton fabric is a great choice for a summer headwear as cotton is light, breathable and pleasant to the body.
I make paper patterns for the details of the hat.
I put fabrics on top of each other, draw a circle on the fabric.
I cut out, adding an allowance of 1 cm.
I take a longer paper strip and cut it into 4 parts, not reaching 1 cm from the edge.
I pin to the fabric, pushing the cuts 1 cm apart.
I do the other part in the same way, only I apply it to the fold and push it apart by 1.5 cm.
I cut out the details of the hat, adding an allowance of 1 cm.
I put it face to face.
I sew in cuts.
I smooth out the allowance.
On all the details I make notches in the center.
I apply the circle to the shorter part.
I sew the main fabric and the lining.
I apply in the remaining part and sew, combining the seams.
I make notches in all rounded areas.
I sew with each other and turn inside out.
On the edge I make a stitching of 1 mm.
My summer cottage hat turned out to be not only beautiful, but also very practical - it protects me from the heat and hides my hair when my hair is not in perfect condition.
