Good Evening My Friend 👍😇👌 You are very well ( Armed ) against Any Kind of Treat 😇👍👍Poor Quad 😢 Very Nice Trail Work Sir 👍😇👌 Be Safe Sir and You have a Very Nice Land 😇👍👌CHeers 🍻
@@RCAFpolarexpress haha. Yeah hopefully nothing will try and eat me. Have a great week Dave!
Nice trails 👍
@@fatefarmspa yes , sure love building trails!
Good evening Mike, the no chainsaw when Michelle isn't home is a great rule👍 Nice that there was a recall on the quad. That is going to be a beautiful trail when you are done. Have a great week, Ben 👋😎👍🍻
@@whenworkisplay yeah for sure it’s a good rule. That’s why they call them accidents eh.
Hope the recall goes well🙏🤞. The machine is 2002 with 600 hours on it so it has plenty of life left. Cheers Ben, have a good week.
Morning Mike. Ya I wouldn't want to be traveling then the ball joint decides to leave the chat. Trimming the trail is a reminder that I need to do the same thing. Hopefully the second road ends up to be a better haulage road for ya.
@@OpenAirAdventure I was just super happy it happened when it did and at low speed! It didn’t damage the cv axle or anything else so 🤞the recall will be handled quickly. Thanks for stopping by Kenny!
It was good that you were not going fast on the quad. The trails are cool and you did a great job cleaning them up. It was interesting that you found another trail. I am looking forward to seeing the view
@@GardenTractorBoy yes, very thankful it came off at a slow speed. If it had been faster I’m sure it would have wrecked the front differential or the CV axle. Thanks for watching Joseph, have a good week!
Looks great buddy! Can't wait to come check out the bluff above 👍
@@markwilliams6436 thanks Mark! I’ll get a few chairs up there for us.
Always need to be prepared for those species that might be interested in eating you! 😁💪✅ Wow that's a serious issue with that quad. I can't imagine driving at the speeds we do on the bumpy trails and losing a tire! Yikes!!! Beauty trail you have and nice work cleaning it up! We are constantly cleaning up and maintaining our trails. We have a big tree we need to take care of tomorrow that's sure to be a danger soon! Enjoyed watching this video Mike
@@lorettaandjasonoffgrid Right! As soon as it happened I instantly recalled a ton of times ripping down the driveway with no helmet on! After this the helmet law applies for high gear activities. Thanks for watching and enjoying your week!
Good morning Mike
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Hello Gary! Thanks for stopping by!
How's she goin'? That must have been a surprise when the front wheel came off eh!! What a way to ruin a day!! Glad you could get it patched up to get home and no one was injured!! Good fun clearing the trial and discovering some other possible trails. The FS91 started up pretty good. Not like mine!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
@@GrampiesWorkshop Sadly with these things being all plastic now the carb and lines will need to be replaced eventually. I’m sure it will get temperamental one day just like yours. Lol. Thanks for stopping by Mike and have a great week! Cheers
Good one Mike. Nice work and great looking trail. Somebody put a lot of work into that fence in there.
Looks like nuthin chased you, so that’s good.
Have a great Sunday.
@@noelstractors-firewood57 yeah I think the previous owner had horses for sure. That fence was actually all electrified as well. Someone put a lot of time into that. But if you want to have horses I guess that’s what you have to do to do. Have a good week Noel!
👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Big job Mike. I absolutely love trail work. I’ve got a 60 tooth carbide tipped blade for my trimmer that cuts so fast it’s amazing. I love the pouch idea with bear spray. Nice job!
@@retiredforlife63 yeah the stihl blade came with the machine and it’s not carbide. But thanks for the tip once I wreck this one I’ll upgrade! 😊 thanks for stopping by!
Trail is looking good! I guess you have Grizzly in your part of BC? On Vancouver Island there are mostly Black bears but a few Grizzly coming onto the island around Seyward where the swim is short from the mainland. When I used to pick pine mushrooms in the Nass Vally (by Terrace) I packed a .338. The recall on those ATVs was necessary. Not good for that ball joint to let go! Keep up the good work, Mike. Are you going to build a cabin up this trail?
@@EverydayProjects hey thanks for stopping by! Yes we do carry a 12 gauge loaded with slugs, but we don’t show it on the channel. Not to sure what we are going to do with the trail, but it would be a nice place to set up a few chairs maybe. Thanks for watching!
@@maintenancewithmike If you build a cabin up the trail, you can build a deck and set up a few chairs on the deck.
I don't know if you covered it, but if you haven't, be sure to buy an under carriage skid plate for that Kubota. A couple designs are on the market, but I put a BX-Expanded on mine and love the design. Without a skid plate you run the risk of destroying your cooling fan for the hydro fluid up over the rear axle with a tree branch/debris. A repair for this is very costly/PITA.
@@AStanton1966 your absolutely correct! Mine is made by tractor attachments. It’s a good thick plate that covers a huge area. Made in Canada. 🇨🇦. Really appreciate you stopping by and commenting. Cheers!
what are you armed with? need a brush hog to clear them trails. be much easier.
@@JohnBraman413 hello John. Yea I have a brush hog for the tractor and will definitely get it on in the spring. Just wanted to do it by hand first just in case something big is hiding. Armed with… well bear spray and a horn for starters. But TH-cam doesn’t like firearms in the videos so I never show the Mossberg in my videos. Buckshot. Slug, slug , slug. 😉.
Thanks for stopping by and watching. Cheers
Great vid, thanks for sharing. Like aspects of your chainsaw usage agreement between you and the Mrs. However, in my opinion should be falling trees only, downed wood must be able to be cut up as you see fit and dealt with or else you aint never going to be able to get anywork done. There is inherent risks in having property, Running that stihl trimmer with a blade and ducking under that log is more dangerous than cutting it up with a chainsaw, cmon man. It will be hard for us guys to hang around on a channel where there isnt much cutting with a chainsaw. If you have bears get a side arm , the bear is going to kill you before the chainsaw will.
@@stevestock2439 I would agree with you if I was much more comfortable with a chain saw. Maybe as I get more used to it we may adapt the rule for brush clean up. Yes anything can be dangerous if it is approached haphazardly. Side arms… don’t get me started. In Canada we are not allowed to carry a side arm. I do have a mossberg with me at all times loaded with slugs but choose not to show it on the channel. Appreciate you stopping by and the comments! All valid discussion points. Cheers.
