Just realized that hotch told jack to go “work the case” not as a final goodbye, thinking foyet would kill jack, but because only jack knew the hiding spot in the office, saving him
Jack hid in a piece of furniture in his dad’s home office. After Hotch divorced Haley, he gave his son a code word if something bad happened to him or his mother. Hotch wanted to finish off Foyet for good because he would’ve killed Jack too.
Nathan Pierzchala what was so sad about that was that Hotch pretty much had accepted that he wouldn’t make it in time, trying to hide Jack. He knew he wouldn’t make it in time for Haley and then started giving his speech. So awful
the sound of the gunshots along with everyone's reactions to it are what killed me the most.. the guilt they all felt because they couldn't save her in time....their friend, a little boy's mum, an innocent woman so full of love....

I know that this is just a show and it's all acting but Jesus Christ this shit got to me. Just for that moment it felt so real :/
This was the ultimate heartbreaking moment of the entire show... even now I’m crying just as if I was watching this for the first time ... each character went through so much trauma ... such a good show 😭😭
I always come back to “omnivore” and “100”. I loved these episodes growing up. The acting and storyline to me is phenomenal. I’ve never been able to feel so familiar with a cast of a crime-fighting tv show the way I have with Criminal Minds. This episode is tragic yet beautiful.
i must hate myself because i have no idea why i’m watching this 😭
same girlie
Garcia crying is the worst thing... She is full of joy and good thoughts i-
Me and my girl got so pissed at this episode the other day.
No matter how many times I rewatch this show, I am never prepared for this episode. I cry my eyes out every time.
"Shes gonna D. I. E." always gets me
And then he's covering Jack's ears
No matter how many times I watch this scene, 10 years later and I still get super emotional
I love this, cause all actors (incluiding Cade Owens) did a very good job with this scene, Meredith and Thomas (Gibson) in their dramatic roles and C. Thomas H. in his Killer-mode. They did this so well that is hard to believe it was all an act
PD: Sorry for my english 😅
Mommy you're hugging me too tight. Mommy why are you sad I just love you so much 😢😢😢😢
Probably one of the most emotion and top 3 scenes in criminal minds
This was the first time I really bawled watching this show. I'm on season 10 and ive cried at least 4 more times
This had to be the saddest moment on the show. I hate that she was killed.
Ponyboy! What happened to staying gold?!?!?!
seriously, great acting!
I feel bad for hitch he didn't do anything
Right? Lol
I'zhanay Pou hotch
This was hands down the most emotional & nerve wrecking scene in the whole series.
Hotch knew she was going to die, that was so sad.
“Mom I gotta go I’m working the case.” My heart ❤
Can't believe he dragged Hotch' s family into this.😡😡😢😢😢
''Mommy I gotta work the case " we knew it was over when they had jack leave the room
That is some pretty good writing. Massive emotional scene.
I've watched this episode hundreds of times and it never gets easier to watch. definitely one of the saddest moments in criminal minds history
Underrated reaction: Emily.
You could tell in the background of every scene she was sad/scared. Poor thing. The actress did amazing.
Garcia jumping and crying when she heard the shots broke me
This episode just aired again yesterday. It's always so hard for me to watch because I know what's coming, but I can't help myself. This particular scene ALWAYS breaks me. Haley's strength in the face of her impending death is incredible and Hotch...I know it's pretend, but I'm a mess afterwards. These characters really pull you in.
Now that his scene, I can’t deal with. The number one heartbreaking scene of the entire CM longevity.
Why was this recommended to me. I already knew how it ends and still I’m crying
I think C. Thomas Howell is seriously underrated. He is one hell of an actor. And this role? He was outstanding.
One of the most powerful scenes and episodes of the series... Pure , raw, emotion.
This is just the saddest episode of criminal minds and nothing can’t beat it
Agree!
Hotchner: Go work on the case buddy.
Translation
Hotchner: Go hide son. So when I get there. I can beat the shit out of him until he's dies Dies DIES!!!!!
I hated this episode.
But the acting was dead on.
RIP Haley 🌹💖🌹💖🌹💖
