People are not generally put in jail for murder or manslaughter for a car accident. There has to be negligence -- alcohol/drugs, reckless driving, etc. At most in the U.S. Broderick might have served a year or two if he'd been convicted of reckless driving. His case is different (as Laura Bush). They didn't set out to kill someone on purpose, unlike almost everyone else on this list.
