After thoroughly reading the story and the backstory behind this very song, every time I hear just 3 seconds of that piano, I cant help it but feel sad as the *star* and *shorekeeper* finally have each other once again Well fucking done Kuro, you broke me 🥲
The fact that this is just 1.3 is some insane work, you just can't wait to learn about the story on this level of execution and quality in the future patches and I can whole heartedly trust kuro in making peak story telling like cmom just look at PGR although its very tragic and depressing the story is very well executed and written, you always feel a connection to every character they create giving them long lasting impression and I appreciate kuro for that. I also like the way the story is more focused on the mc and not always on the side characters like "some" game ik
For now its just Shorekeeper, but i also wish Kuro would model Jinhsi, Sanhua and Changli (if possible) inaide the City Hall, then theres Baizhi and Mortefi and possibly Xiangli Yao inside the Lab Center. One time i also found where Yuanwu lives and also wish hes just outside his Dojo. Rn the one that did it right is HSR as you can meet Seele, Bronya, Gepard, etc. It just felt more alive when they exist.
So happy we get to see Shorekeeper in the Greenhouse, and even get an entire mini-realm to ourselves to be with her. (interact with her on the piano in the Greenhouse or with her chair in the Eidoscope) I certainly remember being somewhat miffed with Genshin that none of the characters we meet can be found just out there in the world. No Ninguang in the Jade Chamber? No Lisa in her office at Favonius HQ? How hard would it be to just have a code to remove them there if they're in your party? Even if they didn't go that far, it'd still make the world feel that much more lived in. Either way, it just proves Shorekeeper best girl.

PGR on the other hand while the cause of Apocalypse happened a long time ago it did not get any better in fact it is getting worse, so people still have to fight for their survival.

While I think WuWa’s story still struggles with excessive exposition and jargon, they certainly know how to capture a vibe, and 1.3 was the best yet in that regard, especially this song.

I love the song, but seeing people in the comments, i might get so much hate for this. But like...... wasn't Shorekeeper just a robot programmed by rover past self? To do everything for them, to obey their commands. So isn't this like, Stockholm syndrome? You owner literally programmed you to adore them.
Simply put, shorekeeper is an AI born from Thethys system. She is meant to integrated as a feeling processing unit. But rover didn't want that so he went out to find a solution. Thethys system needs feeling and emotions of lament to predict the upcoming laments. That's why it's a loop which shorekeeper trapped in. if shorekeeper doesn't want to be a processing unit, rover has to do it which she obviously doesn't want cuz she loves rover. In the end, rover saved her from the system and replace the processing unit with something similar to lament. It's all about wanting to save each other. That's why the salvation is the world where no one needed to be saved
@@astrea4231 IIRC, Rover used Abby's stored energy from previous fights to replace the lament, that being the reason of why Rover says that Abby is quiet

Kuro never misses istg and they are even getting better and better every patch. The way I saw Liv, and selena in shorekeeper teared me up a little bit
