I watched this not expecting anything and it blew me away. The music, the art, and the story was sublime. The sex scenes weren't in the way at all and moved the plot forward imo.

But in truth I think of it as separate verses like how haru ended up with different women giving a different ending. In one they both drown. But in another they are saved and live on and whilst the second is cannon it’s nice to think about each ending as separate storylines each purposefully done to add depth to the story, honestly no other anime I know does this. Great anime that’s hardly been beat to this date.
In my top 5 anime taking 3rd to be specific. Genuinely one of the best animes ever made. The music, scenery, story, writing and character development is almost unbeaten by other anime to this date. I was 13 when I originally watched this and man watching it again gave the same feels as back then. I can’t ever forget this anime and honestly I don’t care how people hate on it for incest and ecchi. They add to the plot in ways hard to understand but I can say that without all the steamy stuff you wouldn’t feel so connected to the story or characters it adds depth and for that I like it. Legendary anime worth more recognition than it ever got and still viable as a goto to this day.
I haven't watched a ton of anime as I'm just getting into it, but this was one of the first ones I watched, top three so far 100% have to be Horimiya, Yosuga no Sora, and Tsuredure Children. My expectations are too high when I start another anime now that I've watched these masterpieces, Horimiya's and YnS's music and storylines can't be topped. Not to mention how good the ending to YnS was, it really does bring the story to a satisfying close with basically everything answered, unlike way too many other animes.

Seriously, other animes used ost to elevate the scene or create the mood. Here, the ost IS the mood, the only thing stuck in my mind after watching it is how incredible the ost is; especially this and the Old memory song.

This is not Kioku, this is Toui no Sora He. But regardless both are fantastic songs and Yosuga No Sora is a good show lol. Plus the soundtrack, unironically one of the best soundtracks I've heard in anime. Can't believe an ecchi show would stick with me so many years after watching it
