I like to think I have at least average intelligence (although after struggling with trying to put this darn thing together I'm not so sure). The OXO manual was completely useless. But your instructions were perfect! Especially when you stressed lining up the ridged lines. Turns out that in my attempts to follow the manual's drawings, I was trying to assemble it upside down. Arrrgh. Again, thank you for the time you took, for your great close-ups, etc.
I am in my late 60's, and looked at several video and Yours was the only one who explained clearly how to put together this product. Thank you so very much
Thank you! I bought this mandoline slicer because I needed to replace an old Boerner V-Slicer that I had loved and used to its death. I like the onboard storage and the quality of the Oxo products. But, like most products today, the instructions fall short of being helpful... It wasn't clear that the dial had to be set to the open position, but I figured that out. The V blade assembly had me totally flummoxed as the reassembly is not intuitive. You REALLY helped me by mentioning that the guide ribs needed to be up and matching the ones on the runway. I had a "Duh!" moment. Thank you so much for saving my fingers and my investment.
I spent an hour trying to put mine together. And realized my apples were turning brown. So I sliced them up with my paring knife put the thing in the oven and grabbed my phone I had it together in less than 5 min after watching this tutorial. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Thank you for doing this video!! The instruction booklet is very inadequate with the instructions. I broke out into a sweat and total frustration in reassembling this unit using the booklet. Even thought about returning it I was so frustrated! This really helped me. I agree with John Swadden-truly a lifesaver!

I’ve been using this little mandolin slicer with its four interchangeable blades for a few months, and I honestly love it. Compact, easy to clean and store. It’s lightweight, so I hang mine by the handle on an overhead pot rack hook. It has replaced my pricier mandolins which I never got along with. But wow, I had not realized that the whole thing cleverly disassembles like that. Something more to love about it. 👍
Oh thank you, thank you! It was brand new out of the package so I thought to take it apart and rinse it off get all the dust or whatever off of it and drove myself crazy trying to put it back together. Thank goodness for your video I didn’t Have to pull my hair out ☺️🙌🏼🙏🏼
This darn mandolin has been sitting in my garage for 5 years, i found it INFURIATING to try to use. Thank you. I only wish your video got closer and went a bit slower. To anyone out there - don't buy this thing. It is not user friendly
I didn’t figure out why my V slice blade would not go back in after Disassembling to wash for first use. When I put it back together I was putting the V blade in upside down! Hopefully somebody can learn from my boo-boo.
@@vivianrogers6623 i am referring to removing the blade from the top of the mandoline slicer tto put it back underneath in the storage. It seems there is nothing to release it and it takes force, is this correct?

You're the best! I used my mandolin to make one fennel salad and the whole thing fell apart afterward during cleaning. Now, a second fennel salad!

Hi! Pinch the sides in and that should release the blade to slide out
