Hey, love the drawing. It would be super helpful to see how you ger the initial line work you start with in the video. To me, that's the hard part - getting all the shapes and proportions correct to start.
Di ba't siya yung nasa Squid Games? si TOP? By the way po, Kuya BMD, yung 230 minutes for that portrait is I would say more than just astig. As in NAPAKA-ASTIG nyo po talaga...
I'm a long time professional artist myself, and I've really liked your expertise in art, particularly of course, colored pencil. You do a great job with graphite and charcoal also. In this video, however, I must say that your reference photo (subject), though doing a very nice rendering it , is far less than 'flattering' in the expression. It's not that every portrait has to be of someone who's most handsome or beautiful, but this subject (reference)I find not very pleasing. Practicing more overt expressions is great and necessary for comic book rendering and illustration, but for portraiture, not so great. My opinion.
Yes, you do excellent work, btw. And also, I know that being able to draw facial expressions is very important, particularly for comic art and illustration in general. So don't take my comment as 'negative' toward your work at all. No, I simply thought the portrait (subject) choice could be better suited for teaching your techniques, which are of very good value for artistic study.
I have to say I have the opposite opinion, most people draw standard expressions and for me I appreciate seeing a more unique one. It's also what I like to draw.
Ang galing lodi☺️
Sublime!!!!!
Thanks
