The Lupple company one was so frustrating, I was telling Case through the screen to read the transcript again - The victim said in the phonecall that the phone exploded in their hand, he never mentioned the battery. The WORKER from Lupple said "Excuse me, did you just say the battery exploded?" How did she know that unless they knew about it already???
To be fair, if a phone explodes, it's usually the battery's fault.

Like, IRL my sister's landlord understood that she couldn't pay rent for a while because her (now ex) husband grabbed all the rent money and ran off. Landlords are oftentimes corrupt and will make life hell as well as jack up the rent. I know it's fictional, but SHEESH
No its literally wrong to keep her in there. They signed a contract, its was not fullfilled and the end. Thats how contracts work. You are not entitled to break the contract and stay there. In your sisters case he was nice but he's not obligated to.

If by the letter of the contract, she was breaking it, why did the landlord bring a witness who clearly wasn't in the right state of mind and blindly agreeing to whatever he said? Why make up a story about the tenant being loud and disturbing their neighbors? Doesn't that at all strike you as odd? We have no reason to question the tenant's authenticity, but the landlord is clearly not telling the truth.
but like you said your landlord understood your sisters situation. landlords can be corrupt but in this case he wasnt. the old man showed symptoms of ptsd from the sounds that came from her and her friends. and she isnt entitled to stay if she doesnt uphold her contract

This case is easily debunked with the witness being Charles Goodman, which is clearly a manipulated yes man of the landlord. As seen, Charles Goodman was incapable of hearing and even remembering a single thing, thus proving that there was no noise from the defendant. Moreover, wouldn't the landlord bring in complaints as proof of the noise? He in fact did not do this, which your honor, I find quite suspicious. At the end of the day, I understand where you're coming from with the fact he's not getting paid, and there isn't any evidence of the landlord raising the rent, but there is clear foul play apart of this. While i get Case's point regarding the Landlord, I dont understand how nobody considered that it's incredibly strange how the only witness, was a war veteran who was clearly out of his mind and suffering from PTSD.
