Hey man just discovered your channel and your music is really nice. I can see you have passion for what you do. Where do you recommend someone starts when they want to do what you do? Thanks

Hey! Thanks ❤ really nice to hear that.
If you're aiming at making music then I'd suggest Ableton as its layout is relatively straightforward (in my opinion) even though the DAW choise doesn't really matter. After following a bunch of tutorials I would try to re-create some of your favourite tracks to really get a feeling for the ins&outs of music. Especially understanding the thought process and logic behind a songs composition is really valuable. The deeper you look into this, the more you will understand that less = more. And ofc just start messing around with making your own stuff, as long as you focus on having fun instead of creating high quality tracks because that takes a really long time. The process is a ton of fun though.
I'd also advise you to release/upload whenever you think a track you made is somewhat done. It's insane how you start looking at your own creations in a completely different way once you've "released" them. Don't worry about it not being good enough or about thinking you'd be able to make something that's better than the result (that's a very common problem) - just release it on SoundCloud or TH-cam. You can always pull them offline anyways 😃, even though I'd advice against that.
If you're aiming at performing live and already have made tracks, loops, synths presets + midi patterns, etc then I'd suggest getting a simple piece of MIDI gear with both sliders and knobs and just start messing around in the project files you already have. Ableton is built for performing live so if you're going for a live performance I 100% recommend Ableton. Just try controlling a synth and a bunch of loops/clips with your midi controller and try to play one of your tracks live. Adjust the cutoff of the synth, start and stop different clips at different moments, etc. Just start simple, there's a million tutorials out there that can help you out with the first steps.
I built my liveset starting like that and improved it over time. At first I had one MIDI panel but I felt like that wasn't enough to start and stop clips, so I bought a Launchpad. After a while I felt that controlling both drum elements and melodic elements using a single Launchpad was too limiting for what I wanted to do, so I got another one. Right now I have 4 Launchpads, two thingies with sliders (Launch Control XL) and a drumpad, but there's a good chance that my setup will change again in the future.
I hope this helps you and if you need anymore info just respond here, I'll probably get to it soon! Happy to help.
      Thanks for reaching out,
      Thomas

@@hiddenvoices wow. Thanks for this informational reply I really appreciate it. I am really good at coming up with beats and have been my whole life and want to put it to work by creating something. Ive made some songs using simple software but this is way more up my alley. I will Research the things you’ve mentioned. I hope the startup cost isn’t too much. Thanks again man.
