Jet Moto 3 was released exclusively for the PlayStation video game console on August 31, 1999. It was the first and only Jet Moto title released by developer Pacific Coast Power & Light and publisher 989 Sports. It has been released only in North America. It was released on the PlayStation Network on February 21, 2008 but was removed shortly thereafter for undisclosed reasons.
The game received moderately positive reviews, averaging 75.75% at video game aggregate site GameRankings. Reviewers generally praised the game's visuals, considering them an improvement over the previous installments. Jet Moto 3 would be the last title to date in the Jet Moto series. Two additional sequels, Jet Moto 2124 and Jet Moto: SOLAR were cancelled during development.

this would look better on an old television than it does on modern screens. If you run this on RetroArch & play around with some dotmask CRT filters, it'll look much closer to how you remember.

Its crazy how much better the games got visually and mechanically all while on the same console. Granted nothing beats Jetmoto 1
Such a nostalgia trip
There's something charming about the way ice and snow was rendered on the PS1 with all those blue and white textures. The ice track in this game reminds me of Ice Cavern in Spyro 1 and all those snow levels in Crash 2. Good stuff.
oh wow, that sony ps1 opening gave me chills, havent heard that in forever!
The PS2 start-up and menu SFX gave me lots of chills as a kid!

I'll never understand game developers letting a franchise die and just abandoning all that good gameplay. How many racing games are there with mechanics like these? Adapting this to new systems would be a lot of fun.

I loved this game so much back in the day, and am psyched to come across this video...it's driving me crazy though that the player isn't using the grapples...My muscle memory is freaking out over it.

Totally agree. The choice to go to completely shit 3-D models in the character select screen was.....questionable at best.

I was playing Jet Moto 2 on ps5 since it came out in the Classic catalog, and I was tryna figure out which track had Pistolero by Juno Reactor bc I knew it was in one of the jet moto games. Turns out it was the third game. I really hope they add this to the catalog soon
I missed out on this game because it sadly was never released outside of North America.
This was the best one IMO. Even if I didn't get to fully enjoy it before my PSx died.

Ok, I definitely played this as a kid, but there was a game very much like this one except it had a grappling mechanic where you would grapple onto the glowing points on the track and you could swing from them. If anyone knows what I am talking about, please help me out.
EDIT: Omg, it IS this game. The dumbass playing it is just ignoring the grapple mechanic.

The polygon environments and water look very good, but that frame rate and bike motion are simply atrocious. Ack! The series should have moved to PS2 by this point.
