I honestly dont mind men wearing make-up. K-pop has to do with the music, their personalities, the behind the scenes everything
Plus it’s for the music videos and performances.They don’t wear it daily during regular days.It’s so they don’t look pale and tired. Even actors and artists in the US have to wear some sort of makeup when they perform or are on camera. It not like they’re putting on colorful eyeshadow and adding wings to their eyeliner lol.It’s still done in a manly way if that makes sense lol

@@Pistachio532 well the fact of the matter is, they don’t wear it daily.Unless the guy is a rocker, or lgbt, they don’t wear makeup unless needed, and skz doesn’t wear it if they don’t need it.

Welcome to Stayville, Stray kids are very dynamic group varying from different genres, comprised by their producers 3racha aka 3 of the members of the group, my personal favoirte albums are NO easy, Ordinary, 5-star and Rockstar album. the songs i recommeded By SKZ are freeze, venom, maniac,gods menu, backdoor,thunderous, domino, easy, charmer, Lonely st, item, superbowl ( * superbowl has 2 versions, i recommded hearing the original which is in english then the japanese} Hall of fame, Topline, fnf, Collision, Megaverse, LA LA LA, comflex. Then down the road you could rreact to case 143, redlights, Some SKZ records/recording like "Up all night. Other songs likes social path, also "Hellavator { Their first song"}, miroh, side effects and more. Also Skz is divided in certain sub groups thus consisiting of the producers/rap, dance, vocal
makeup is just another expression of their art and fashion.. the toxic masc on the internet is just that - toxic.

FELIX IS THE KING OF KPOP.
Almost all men in Korea wear makeup and it has a few cultural reasonings behind it. One of the main reasons though is thay they see women as the ultimate example of beauty and wear makeup (a feminine product) to honor that and try to replicate the beauty, and that has been a practice since ancient times especially among though noble, royal, and wealthy families.
K-pop isn't a genre of music, it's an industry. Stray Kids do a lot of hiphop

To be fair, Korean men buy as much as if not more skincare/makeup products than women, and it is a part of their beauty standards. And people barely give Kiss a side eye and they have far more noticeable performance makeover. Most people who get used to kpop don’t really judge the fact they have makeup or such.

hello there.. u have to remember that the music industry in Korea made a BIG leap in the earlie '90s (democracy was established in S.Korea in 1987 dont forget that) so it wasnt from the radio like most western countries but mostly from TV..thats why K-Pop is so focus (even now) in the visuals like makeup, choreography, outfits etc.
They play all genres of music. Rock, Hip Hop, R&B Jazz you name it they have a song out there. My fav group as well my bias is Chang Bin!!
I always wonder why guys get hung-up on the make-up thing. People of all genders have been wearing makeup for millennia. You wouldn't question Ancient Egyptian men for wearing kohl eyeliner, eyeshadow and painting their nails, right? Wealthy men of status in Europe often wore makeup to enhance certain features. It's a fashion choice and everyone is free to express themselves however they choose 👍 For Stray Kids, it's a part of their job like any other entertainer. We need to move past these gender-based stereotypes and recognise that they are holding us back from living our best lives authentically.

Sooo, I get what you're saying on the masculinity. America has a very cute and dry differentiation of femininity vs masculinity. In Korea, physical appearance is important, and not as attached to judhements of masculinity

Would've been nice to hear more of what you thought about the actual song rather than y'all pointing out how they look feminine. Also, not all of their stage makeup has to do with a story it's just stage make up for the concept and to be pretty considering they're idols.

Kpop is an industry in which groups or soloists are trained in singing, dancing, etc. by their agencies. Then each group has a concept and style, some pop rock, pop, and then there are the hip hop oriented groups, which there haven't been many. Stray kids is one of them. It can be said that they are a 'Hip hop EDM' group, but with mixtures of several different genres in the same song giving quite original results, and that differentiates them from other groups. They are quite risky in their productions and haters say that they make 'noisy' music, but they take it as a compliment and are proud of their style

Not for toxic masculinity in the US. Men were raised to believe anything “feminine” is a negative if men display it. Probably why I don’t watch US movies or listen to US music anymore.

They are top producers . Only groups in k-pop that are self made ( chan picked the members) and self produced groups .
