There are a few guides to stray kids you can watch, it tells you about the group, each member and shows their individual skills, their duality on/off stage, solo and subunit projects, and just how chaotic they are. Venom and freeze are also good. Bangchan and his 7 kids have alot of fun.

This song is not in the Deadpool X Wolverine movie. BUT Straykids will have a new song on the movie soundtrack [confirmed by Marvel]. The new song, yet to be released, is called "Slash"
This appearance happened after about 3 years of Ryan Reynolds [and Hugh Jackman] becoming acquainted with the group after Straykids did a live stage performance that was Deadpool themed. Ryan loved it, also found out two of the Straykids members are Australian and eventually became friends with them.

@@TableSlappinFunny theres actually a very wholesome sage that started with Skz covering blackpinks "Dudududu" on Kingdom and having in deadpool themed. Afterwards Ryan tweeted about the performance appreating it and Bang Chan (leader lf skz) replied. They send each other gifts etc. Chan even got the chance to interview Ryan when his movie fall guy came out (online sadly) and the whole interview was just them fanboying about each other. Even before the deadpool performance chan had mentioned that hes a ryan fan on a stream and ryan seems like a genuine skz fan so their interaction was way to wholesome. Its so cool that they now get to properly collab, stays have been asking for a long time.

K-pop is much bigger than a genre of music. It's an industry. For example, Stray Kids has songs that sound like rock, multiple rap songs, R&B, ballads, original soundtracks, this song was Afrobeats & Latin, they have Christmas songs (you need to react to Christmas Evil! You'll love it). Whatever style of music they want to do, they do. That goes for most K-pop groups. They may have a certain thing that makes them different from other groups- Stray Kids are known for bigger, louder music and huge expensive videos, another for maybe a smoother or "Pop"-ier' vibe on their main songs when they drop an album. But even each album will have multiple genres and that's pretty much most groups.
Lord! For Stray Kids reactions, start with GOD'S MENU, the holy grail. You'll see.

    They debuted in 2018
    They are ages 23 - 26
    Fandom name is Stay
    #2 Best Selling Artist in U.S 2023
    #3 Globally Best Selling 2023
They are unique for several reasons...
First, the leader Bang Chan was allowed by JYP to hand pick all of the members himself. They were not placed together in a traditional way, by the company.
Second all of them are all arounders. They can all sing, rap, dance, produce and write.
Third, they have written and produced about 99% of their music.
Numbers of songs each member has copyrighted according to Korean Music Association (KOMCA) so far...
Bang Chan 184 (#3 in KPop)
    Changbin 156
    Han 152
    Hyunjin 27
    Felix 22
    I.N 21
    Seungmin 20
    Lee Know 17
While they can all do everything they do have 3 different subunits...
3Racha... Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han which are the main producers. They are always credited as 3Racha.
    3Racha Achievements
    - Four Time Billboard 200 #1 Producers
    - Hot 100 Hitmakers
    - 3rd, 11th, 12th Most Credited Idols on KOMCA
    - Produced Albums Sold Over 20 Million Copies
    - Japan Hot 100 Hitmakers
    - 100+ Weeks on Hot 100 Lyricists
    - 100+ Weeks On Hot 100 Composers
    - 2023 Asia Artist Awards Best Creator
    - Makers of Time Magazines 2020 #8 Best Song (their song Backdoor)
Danceracha... Lee Know (in charge of leading dance practices), Felix and Hyunjin. They also contribute to the choreography.
    Vocalracha... Seungmin and I.N
While the songs are hype they always have significant meaning to them. Their lyricism is always insane.
Since they are so experimental their sound has its own genre and they have a very diverse discography.
Example... Gods Menu, Back Door and Case 143 all completely different sounds.
There are actually a lot of ArmyStays (BTS fans + Skz fans)

It is beautiful watching new Stays be born. Keep checking out their music. They are very diverse. They are badasses on stage but fun, down to earth people off. They have soooo much content to check out. Dive as deep as you want. Gods Menu was their kickoff song that sky rocketed them, but Easy, Megaverse, Slump, Thunderous, their mixtape series, lots of individual or subunit work... i am loving Volcano by Han right now. These guys seriously love making music and experimenting with genres, textures and different sounds. I personally love their No Easy/Noisy album. Its a whole clapback at people calling them noise music and saying they literally dont care... they are going to keep doing what they want. Their style, looks and sound gets them so many fans, but their genuineness keeps them. They push positive behaviors, talk about difficult topics and are very humble and thankful for their fans (Stays). Their very first song was Hellavator if you want to see how far they have come. Their music is complex and beautiful and they have so much energy its insane. Enjoy! Loved your reaction! Cant wait to see how much more they will surprise you!🎉

Thanks for reacting. Comments have already addressed a lot so I'll just add a few things. The angelic voice member was IN. The rapper you noticed was Changbin. The deep voice is Felix. The performance that others have mentioned that first caught the eye of Ryan Reynolds was for a show called Kingdom and was a mashup of their song God's Menu and Black Pink DuDuDu. Their cute online interactions over the years led to in person interactions and as mentioned their upcoming , song in the Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack. There are also videos of Bang Chan, the leader, and Felix mock interviewing Ryan and Hugh in a recent skit. As mentioned, Bang Chan and Felix are australian though all are Korean. Their music library is very diverse but they are well known for their energetic, hard hitting "noise" music. They all rap, sing and dance as well as write and compose with the subgroup 3Racha doing the most of the writing and composing.

Yesss, y’all lowkey need to react to the whole album, it’s fire. They have color coded lyrics so you can see who’s singing or rapping plus the English translations 🔥. And the guy with the orange hair is I.N. They do have a choreography team that helps structure the choreography, but the dance leader, Lee Know comes up with the choreo along with the DANCERACHA (Dance sub unit of Stray Kids which consists of LeeKnow, Felix the Australian guy with the deep voice and Hyunjin the guy in red in the first chorus) The youngest, I.N is 23 and the oldest, Bang Chan is 26 and he’s also the leader. Stray Kids are self made because their CEO used them as an experiment group and didn’t really promote or back them up, so they literally came from the bottom. They have a survival show that shows you the struggles they had from debut. The leader, Bang Chan who’s also Australian personally hand picked each member that he wanted to debut alongside him. The K-pop community is NOT like the western community when it comes to “beefing” 😂. Everyone is cool with eachother. Stray Kids are friends with members of other groups. The leader is friends with Lisa from BLACKPINK, Jake from enhypen, HongJoong from ATEEZ and many more. That’s what I love about the K-pop community, no one looks down on anyone. The fandoms are a different story, they do get into hiccups with eachother pretty frequently. Stray Kids’s fandom is STAY. STAY comes from STRAY but without the r since that’s the reason of the Stray Kids. Fandom wars do happen often between fandoms, so that’s why people try to avoid bringing up other groups when another is mentioned.

@@TableSlappinFunny I am a Blk American female k-pop fan (they're actually called 'stans' in k-pop) in my 40s. I know this is long, but about fandom beefs, I hope you read this. Usually it depends on the fandom. Some are larger than others. Some like STAY are known for being very carefree and a sister fandom to a few others. Most of the time it's the younger or newer people in the fandom. And the ones of us who have been in it for a little longer get them straight quickly. K-pop beefs btwn fandoms are mostly just people arguing and trashing rival groups. But be careful joking about groups because the fandoms have a lot of power in the outside world. Remember, if you're talking about BTS' fandom ARMY, for example, you're talking about millions of people worldwide and over 40% of the fandom is over the age of 40. I actually started with BTS in 2020. I remember there was a story on Insta about a radio station in Brazil that did a reaction to a BTS song and were making fun of their clothing and the fact that the men were wearing makeup, stating that they were not masculine. Basically doing everything but actually discussing the music. Obviously they didn't do their research b/c ARMY (the fandom) in Brazil is huge. The next week the lights were off in that building and none of those men had jobs. I'm 100% serious. That year the fandom bought one member a star for his birthday. I mean in space! For another member, J-Hope, who is Korean, the construction of a children's hospital was paid for by ARMY in China. It literally is named after him and the fandom surprised him with it. I'm not trying to discuss another group here, I'm just trying to make it clear to you in the quickest way possible. STAY is probably the 2nd largest male k-pop group fandom after BTS. You've gotta remember Stray Kids won an mv award at the VMAs last year, they were at the Met Gala this year. They're about to leave to go do Lollapalooza in Europe. The members- Hyunjin-an ambassador for Versace, Felix-the one with the deep voice-Louis Vuitton -he even walked the runway in one of the most recent shows, I.N-Alexander McQueen. I believe all 8 of them have a fashion house. STAY is sister-fandom to ATINY, pronounced Ay-tee-ny (the fandom of the group ATEEZ. We get along because we really don't focus on beefing with anyone. We support each other and some members of both groups are friends. So those that are not "baby-STAYS" won't have an issue with me giving this last example. In April ATEEZ became the first male k-pop group to do Coachella. They performed both Friday nights and had probably one of three largest crowds at their stage. On Friday, from 4:00 to the time they performed, 10:45pm Cali time, ATINY was about 85% of the live chat. We almost brought down the Coachella server 3 times. Why do I like K-pop? The rapline of Stray Kids-Han, Changbin, Bang Chan (Bang is his last name, he's also the leader) are also the producers of many of Stray Kids songs, and pretty much all the rap songs. They write every bar themselves. Chan creates the beats and music on his laptop, he'll let the other two here it and he'll give them the concept and the two of them will write all their bars on their cell phones sitting next to him on the couch (In real time). I've literally watched them create an entire song in an hour. The rapline is called 3RACHA and if you search 3RACHA lives on YT you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Han is one of the fastest Korean rappers and Changbin is a heavy-hitter featured on a couple of other people's songs as well. All 3 of them can sing too.

    Yall are funny.
Kpop groups generally don't have beefs with each other. It's different fandoms that will fight each other or even harass other artists. It can get crazy.
Also, I agree that the soul in a person's voice has to come from somewhere. Not necessarily from being beaten. I think there are artists who just feel things a bit deeper than other people and it shows when they sing. They might be more empathetic people.

Deadpool will tell you he is a Stray Kids fan, not Kpop just Stray Kids. Kpop groups are debuted in generations and Stray Kids are the Kings of 4th Generation. They are not traditional Kpop, they write and produce 90% of their music and their music is very rap heavy and vocal light. Another difference is all 8 members rap, sing and kill choreography. Their music isn't created to be popular or trendy, they write what they feel and what they think Stays would like to hear. The most important thing to know about Stray Kids is they are brothers, not by blood but choice; a family and it shows. There is a genuine love and respect between them and it shows in their music and performances. The recommend God's Menu, Easy, Megaverse, Topline and Double Knot. If you want a glimpse of how they enter act of stage, watch SKZ code, it's hilarious; they are natural comedians. Thanks for the reaction.

kpop definitely feels like what many of us in the US grew up with such as boybands, high quality videos, dancing, 90s musical influence etc. Even rappers in Korea can often be influence by 90s rap (such as jhope with his Jack in the Box album). It's an interesting aspect to kpop.

Felix, the one with the white hair has a very deep voice, like Barry White deep. Most new comers to Stray Kids start with the song God's Menu and they get hit with the Felix effect lol. No one expects someone like him to sound the way he does. You should for sure check out God's Menu, Maniac, Venom and Freeze. Hard beats and ChangBin the one with the purple hair is one of the fastest rappers in Kpop. Felix and ChanBang (Christopher) are both from Australia. They were the ones sitting on top of the building on the sofa.

Welcome to SKZ lol. I'll break it down for you.
They are completely self produced, mainly through their production arm 3Racha, which is leader Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, though all of the group have a hand in lyrics and ideas.
The group is 8 members and are one of the first K-Pop groups to defy the stereotype of having dedicated roles within the group as all can sing/dance/rap, with Han being the "ACE" meaning he is the most proficient in all areas. They can be broken into 3 sub units.
3Racha, they are the production unit and main rappers. Their song "3Racha" is a great intro to their ability, but songs like Topline, Freeze, God's Menu, Thunderous and Venom are also great songs for showcasing their skills
DanceRacha: Felix, Hyunjin, and Lee Know. As the name suggests, they are the main dancers. "Taste" is a great showcase of their dancing and singing. Individually I would check out "Studio Choom AoTM Hyunjin". Hyunjin was originally scouted just to be a pretty face but the man worked his ass off and is now recognised as one of the best dancers of the current K-Pop bands. All of the band are amazing dancers though and I recommend checking out the dance practices for "Domino" and "Double Knot" to see just how crazy good they are. Lee Know started in the industry being a dancer for BTS tours/Videos.
VocalRacha: Seungmin and IN are the main vocalists, but Han and Bang Chan notably also take this role, along with Lee Know in more recent albums. Great songs to see their vocal ability are Cover Me, Case 143, Youtiful, Lose My Breath (SKZ version), Lonely Street, and Scars.
Some great songs, in addition to the ones above, to check out would be: Maniac, Red Lights, Miroh, Circus, S-Class, All in, My Pace, Lalalala, Megaverse, Social Path, Get Lit, and.. well, I could go on, they have an incredible work ethic!
Fun facts, they have just broken the record held by One Direction for most #1 Billboard chart entries for album releases in a row. Felix and Bang Chan are actually Australian and Felix nearly got cut from the group for not speaking Korean well enough, but was brought back much to the relief of all Stays! Seungmin grew up in Canada and speaks English to an Advanced level. All of them speak multiple languages ranging from Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Italian. Felix is an ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Hyunjin for Versace, and all the boys attended the Met Gala dressed/invited by Tommy Hilfiger, and they are about to embark on another word tour DominATE.

Love to see some I.N vocals appreciation (the orange haired guy you pointed out). Stray Kids are a really great performance group- they will remix and redesign their songs for live performances and it was one of those live performances (called 'God's Dududu') that caught Ryan Reynold's attention and began a friendship with them and Hugh Jackman (Hugh is very fond of one of the members- Hyunjin's- art and sometimes comments on paintings he uploads clips of to Instagram). I was recently lucky enough to see them live at a festival in Europe and they were incredible- the crowd was so hyped and loud throughout the whole thing. Their MVs are good but their live performances- wow. You should look up some of their awards show performances one day to get a taste if you're interested.
Thank you for checking them out. I hope you explore further- they just dropped a new album 'Ate' so we might get some more music videos in the next few weeks.

Ryan and Hugh have been friends of the group since 2021 when they did a Deadpool-themed banger in Kingdom: Legendary War, a survival show they won. This song is not in the movie, but another one of theirs is. This video was just for fun (for Ryan & Hugh) and is the title track off their new album, ATE.
The difference with SKZ is they write and produce their own music. They do not buy their songs.

  • @djinn5658
    @djinn5658 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I'll break up the answers to a couple of your questions so they're easier to read, hopefully without making each answer tediously long 🙂 nobody wants to read all that haha
    1) To me, they're not technically a traditional "boy band." The name kpop is a catch-all umbrella term for many types of Korean music, even not very pop-y music -- these dudes actually have music in 45+ different genres and subgenres. Theyre known for their experimentality. Some of the songs are a mashup of multiple genres in the same damn song, but some stick to one-- among these are some songs that are just rock or rap that go HARD, ballads, anime soundtrack songs, straight-up EDM, etc. Their two main rappers (at 4:44 and 5:12) are consistently ranked at or near the top of the lists of best rappers in their country.
2.) No, they aren't teenagers, they just have better skincare than the rest of us 😄 They range in age from 23 (angel-voice guy, I.N., who is the "baby of the family") to 26 (the guy at 4:17 , who is the leader, Bang Chan). But they released their first real song & video before they were an actual band & just in training when they were ages 16-19. It's called Hellevator, check it out. You won't believe it was written/produced by little kids. Has over 115mil views on YT.
3.) Another way they ain't very boy-bandy, they write pretty much the majority of their own stuff. Most boy bands back in our day, and most Kpop bands now, don't do all that themselves. They are responsible for most of their music, from lyrics to production to arranging. They have a handful of freaking awesome trusted company producers they've worked with for years that contribute to many of their songs, but the band themselves are responsible for most of it. Their production team: the leader Bang Chan, at 4:17 & 6:17, who has 190 copyright credits to his name at age 26; Han, guy at 2:52 & 4:45, who is also the youngest member in the Korean Music Copyright Association with 159 writing/producing credits to his name at age 23; and Changbin, purple-hair guy with the bars at 3:00 & 5:12 , who has 161 copyright credits at age 24. They call their production team "3Racha."
4.) The Deadpool thing? It started when they were on a competition show back in 2021. They did a-- I sh!t you not-- DEADPOOL-THEMED COVER OF A GIRL GROUP SONG. (The show was called Kingdom: Legendary War, the song God's Ddu Du Ddu Du. It's kind of insane, check it out, but fyi it has commentary from the other bands competing.) Ryan Reynolds got wind and saw it, and you know that dude HAD to reach out and make friends. And Hugh became a fan too, as 2 of the guys come from families who actually immigrated to Australia (Bang Chan and the tiny blond guy, Felix, with the James Earl Jones voice at 2:48 , 4:52 , & 6:07 ). So, they're just big Aussie buddies now. They also have made friends with our other Marvel Aussie, Chris Hemsworth.
5.) You're right, they do have their own unit responsible for dance, but they do have a few pro choreographers they consistently work with. The 3 members that make up their core dance unit: Lee Know, the dance leader, at 4:34 (fun fact! He was a BTS backup dancer when he was in his mid-teens-- like front line, right by the band), Felix (the pretty blond guy with the deep voice I mentioned), and Hyunjin (the guy with red glasses at 4:25). The dance unit listens to upcoming songs, pick a couple of their choreographers that best fit each song, and combine/tweak the choreographies to fit their style and the song. Their dance unit is called "Danceracha."
6.) They mix up Korean & English to make it rhyme... is that cheating? 😄 I guess when you're bilingual you can do whatever the hell you want. However the rhymes come to you man, who am I to judge your vision. The 2 Aussies are native English speakers, and 2 others are pretty fluent ( Han the rapper/ writer/ producer, and the amazing main vocalist, Seungmin, at 4:13 & 5:57 ). Changbin (purple haired guy) and Hyunjin (guy with the red glasses of the dance unit) are getting there. The other two, I.N and Lee Know, understand it decently, but only speak very basic phrases. Also, the whole group speaks basic or easy-conversational Japanese, and a few of them are quite fluent. They have several Japanese singles and albums.

Korean music was all ballads until the 90s. Then they started getting access to western media and put their own spin on it. They constantly pay homage to Michael Jackson as their blueprint.
