Do you ever come across things that look like gemstone but are really glass. Chinese manufacturers are quite astonishing in their ability to mimic beads.
I completely understand buying jewellery and not wearing all of it. I love combing flea markets and charity shops, etc., and buying pieces that appeal to me even if I won't wear them all. Sterling silver and genuine pearl Mikimoto cufflinks, in their original box, with paperwork, bought at Zurich flea market a couple of years ago for 20 Swiss francs? Yes, please! I have strictly no use for them, but just knowing I own them brings me joy!
