What a very enjoyable hour spent looking at all these gorgeous treasures. I make handmade jewelry so I appreciate all the exotic types of beads. I adore milifiora beads, wedding cake beads, and of course gemstone beads. Amazing collection!

My favourite is the antique layered silver pendant with the milky rainbowy moonstone. I call that one ‘witchy’ it’s got some old magic in it I reckon. Mmmhmm

I love all the beautiful pieces in this video, but my favourites were in the gold colour box with MC CM on it! The filigree cross was absolutely divine!! And I love the sterling ring with the small black opals on it . Black opals ( actually all Australian opals) and sterling are my favourite things in jewellery. My late mum was given a beautiful black opal, 18k ring for her 21st birthday. She loved that ring more than her wedding ring AND is kids combined! That's where my love of opals comes from. Well, that, and opal being Australia's national gemstone as well!

Hi Jason, thank you for this beautiful video. The pearl brooch 1:06:30 is Ciro, I think it is a British company, often branded as Ciro of Bond Street, London. High end and much sort after on this side of the Atlantic (UK). Great work.

@59.50 the mark is 925 AU Au is a symbol for gold. 925 could mean 92.5% aurum (AU). Although the earrings are small, hey they could be gold. Love watching your videos - thanks for sharing :)

Hi Jason. Love your vids. Watch them every time. But that necklace wasn't fire opal. It was lab created opal. Fire opal is yellow, orange or red.
I still get confused by Czech, Austrian and German vintage pieces. So similar. Plus one large piece I have is made in NYC. What's the trick? TFS ❤️
So many opal variations I have a chart with photos that I use. I may call a piece as one thing, because I’m seeing it for the first time, then when I begin inventory I catch things like this.
@@prestonstmarketI love Aussie opals and have studied them and their fakes quite a lot. That green/blue combo is usually a good giveaway. I've been fooled by Gilson. Once. Mineral id is exhaustingly difficult. And yes, so many variations of opal and locations. I'm also highly suspicious of 925 stamps. Easily half the sterling I've bought at yard sales, etc., didn't pass the test. I throw them away so to not perpetuate the lie.
