Hey Ash…Fragrance net had Bond No 9 Bleecker Street 3.4 Tester for $112 I was like that’s a steal !! Next day the price went up to like $212 so yea somebody messed up 🤣
I had 2 blind buys this year: 1. A cheapie recommended by you, Zara Rich Warm Addictive. A great fragrance for the money. 2. Dior Homme Parfum. This one was not released in the US. I’m so glad I purchased. This is one that will remain on the top shelf of my collection for many years to come.
So my favorite blind buys that were actually recommendations from you, were Roberto Cavalli Uomo (my cozy blanket of love) lol picked that up about a year ago and most recently, Zadig and voltaire This is him....ugh so frekin fantastic. i bought it for my husband and realized I need to stop copping his and get my own ;) I have a admit, although i do watch your videos for recommendations for my husband, I also watch for myself. I enjoy aromatic fragrances with a sweet edge, yet lend mystery and that coziness that draws people in. As a woman this can be difficult to find in the female marketed fragrance market. You make it easier for me to confirm blind buys. So thanks bud. I appreciate it.
I blind buy fragrances all the time based on Ash's reviews. I have not been upset yet. I look forward to the first fragrance that I refuse to wear. I did blind buy Tom Ford Noir (women's) and wore it for a week before I realized it was a women's fragrance. I liked it but it was a bit sweeter than I was used to.
I haven't blind bought too many fragrances. I was looking for Bentley Men Intense and came across Bentley Black Edition. I had no idea what it smelled like, but it was cheap so I bought it. I find it more wearable than Intense and an overall great fragrance.
Most of the fragrances I own (40 or more), I bought without ever smelling them. Most of them turned out great. However, I watch and read A LOT of reviews. Maybe too much.
Same with my ~100 bottle purchase so far. I have a habit of just buying the full bottle. Initially I even stick to the 100mL bottle, because it's better value and "what if it was great?" Nowadays I try to buy the smaller 50mL bottle so I can stretch out my $$$ to buy more 😂 I guess I'll just eat less! Anyway 20% of my purchase I love, 30% I like, 10% meh, and 40% I don't like and I re-sell it
One of my very few blind buys was Abercrombie and Fitchs tobacco and Tonka bean. What’s the phrase you use… It punches above its weight class. I like it a lot super sweet, versatile, and can be worn year round.
Bogart Pour Homme was a solid blind buy for me too. It reminds me quite a bit of Naxos, obviously a cheaper version of it that's a bit more fougerey to me. Lasts a while too. Davidoff Zino was also a solid blind buy recently, nice old school vibe but with a nice honey note that makes it a bit more modern smelling 👍 I can't think of any other recent blind buys because I buy lots of decants and then I choose which once deserve a full bottle purchase
My blind buy that actually worked was "urban wood" by Nike. Nike is a small Spanish fragrance company that registered the name of its brand "Nike" even before that the Nike we all know. Their fragrances are incredibly cheap, they cost next to nothing, but the quality is there, taking into consideration its incredible low prices.
Let me guess.. you think Nautica makes the best colognes in the world.. no wait a minute... You think Adidas makes the best.. nope I got it. You mainly use axe body spray
@@ihaveawhiteguysmustache4077 not even close... I have a collection of 70+ bottles from niche houses like Nishane or Parfurms de Marly to incredibly cheap ones like Nike. By the way, there is nothing wrong with using AXE deodorant if that is your thing. What a silly comment, totally out of context.
Malizia Uomo Vetyver. Ridiculously cheap (I got it for less than 5 dollars when I saw it in a supermarket). I expected it to be awful but just wanted to see how a veitver worth 5 bucks would smell. Presentation straight from 1980s, plastic atomiser, low expectations. But the scent itself is pleasant, a really nice, light - yes - vetiver with a little tiny bit of lime and pepper. Not nearly as artificial as I assumed. I went back a couple of days later and bought two more bottles. I'd love to hear what you think of it some day!
My fav blind buys 1. John Varvatos Dark Rebel 2. Banana Republic Vintage Green 3. Moschino Toy Boy 4. O’boticario The Blend Bourbon 5. Baldesarrini Ultimate
Dunhill Egyptian smoke. It's kinda hard to get, somewhat pricey, but was well worth the risk!! 10/10 niche quality for sure. Reminds me of Angels share with leather.
Azzarro Wanted was a dislike that turned to love... Silver Mountain Water turn into a love for me.. and a couple more I can't think of right now... Keep em coming Ash!!!! "THUMBS UP"🥊🔔
Great video… blind bought This is not a Blue bottle 1.2 and 1.3 but also Jaque Fath Vers le sud, green water and Caracoa bay (or something like that”. Years ago. There were on sale tax free and was cheap as chips. About same price as a large Hawai pizza. Didn’t google them, just bought them all 👍
My best blind buys were Davidoff Horizon for warm weather/ Azzaro Elixer for cooler weather. 😎 Both very different, both quite cheap at the discounters.
Hey Ash! These are some blind buys that really impressed me. I absolutely love all of these! 1. Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme 2. Reyane Tradition Insurrection II Wild 3. Givenchy Eau de Givenchy (2018) 4. Azzaro Chrome Aqua 5. Halloween Man X
Best blind buy i ever did was Elysées Wood by prestige parfums....ever heard of it? I've only found one video on TH-cam about it . I'd love to hear your thoughts
I bought many fragrances this year, without knowing what they smell like, and I like most of them. Some of them are some of my favorite fragrances, e.g.: Calvin Klein "Euphoria Amber Gold for Men EDP", "Narciso Rodriguez for Him EDT", Amouage "Jubilation XXV Man", and more. I ended up with some fragrances, though, that I hate, e.g. Calvin Klein "Reveal for Him", Zirh "Ikon", and Boucheron "Jaipur Pour Homme EDP".
Man, that Calvin Klein Euphoria Amber Gold is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I brought that off of Max Forti's recommendation, & I was VERY surprised, as I haven't been a fan of CK fragrances in YEARS! That is a delight!
Authentic is one of my favourite blind buys. It's closer to Dior homme cologne to my nose. The opening is definitely aventus inspired though. Bois de vetiver is one of my worst blind buy mistakes. Not my thing at all. Prominent rose note in the mid is not nice at all to me.
My blind buys this year: Terre DHermes Bentley for Men Intense Banana Republic 17 oud Chrome Aqua Cedrat Boise Dior Homme Intense I like/love all except Banana Republic and especially the Bentley - makes me feel nauseated - Way overrated!
I felt the same way with the Bentley at first wear. Gave it a second try and found it interesting. The third time I wore it, I loved it. The dry down is most definitely the best part in my opinion, and it smells great on fabric.

Hey quick question! Do u guys just search through the site, or do u specifically type in fragrances, & that's how u discover their mistakes? Just curious!
I hope you'll make a video with the bad surprises 😁 I have so many perfumes that I bought just for curiosity or convinced by different reviewers, that disappointed badly 🙈
I hate Bogart PH. Too heavy, dense, and headache inducing. Maybe if I an wear it in a particularly cold winter, I would be able to tolerate it, but that doesn't happen down under 😂 My favourite blind buy (based on scent only, not performance) is Penhaligon's Endymion, Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi, Hermes H24, Montale Intense Cafe, Prada L'Homme, and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Funny you hate Philip Pleins advertising so much, often the commercials on your channel is for Gammon perfume, and they are even worse! Have you checked them out? Thank you for always great content though!
In my opinion, every fragrance (that I've smelled) in the Aqua Allegoria line pushes towards feminine. I've smelled a fair few and personally find them all too feminine to wear any of them myself. Some of them are really nice tbf (and quite underrated on Fragrantica), just not on a guy.
Caron pour un Homme de Caron, Houbigant Fougere Royale, Reminiscence Patchouli, and Molecule 01, all blind buys for me, all simply great! Matters of taste of course, but No Limit$ really does not smell great to me at all. To my nose it has a distinct latex-vibe, like smelly latex gloves, not appealing to me. I think the very low scores in both Parfumo and Fragrantica do suggest (at least partially) that it simply does not smell that great, regardless of the "classy" advertisement ;) Gucci Guilty Absolute on the other hand does not have that latex note to me, and I think it does smell great. They are not really that similar. Latex thing alone is a huge deal breaker

Really do like A&F Authentic. My best blind buy was Givenchy Gentlemen Only. Clean, fresh, sophisticated, easy to wear. One of my faves.
Patchouli is my top note. Bamboo second, hope to create custom fragrance with these two.
