If the disc is not in normal position after stretching, joints may rub against. Why don't you place the disc in its normal position rather than stretching
When the disc is anteromedially positioned and condylar translation is unimpeded, then the retrodiscal tissue remodels and forms a pseudodisc which functions very well. Performing discopexy has it's indications but from our experience discopexy is not necesssary for TMJ closed lock.
@@dhruvtrivedi4197 The surgery didn't happen. The doctor suggested it doesn't need surgery as i can eat easily and open my mouth. Also this surgery can cause other damages. And even after the surgery there is possibility of my jaw to get locked again. Doctor suggested to do exercise so that the opening doesn't shorten. And there is a possibility that it can open on it's own.

@@Dhana77728 Roughly one third of patients improve into almost normal opening within 1 year without treatement, however usually to less than 40 mm

Stretch its attachments and let it move in an anteromedial direction so it does not interfere with translatory movement of the condyle
