Josh, It's very likely that they are carrying essential Cargo within its cargo bay.
Singapore Airlines are currently doing CARGO only flights with its Boeing 777s between Singapore and Auckland.

Totally agree! As a commercial airline enthusiast, it's heartbreaking to see the airline industry failing. I love looking to the sky everyday when I hear an airliner fly over and say to my partner "That's an Airbus A330 and it's American Airlines coming in from Europe to Charlotte NC." (I live an hour North on a flight path). I don't hear the planes anymore. Very rare. So sad. Air travel has been changed forever just like 9-11. I really hope we get back to normal but not sure.
Thanks for the wonderful report Josh. A trip report is a trip report. The honest truth! Right now, it sucks. But....for all of you hating on Josh, remember, he is doing what weALL love, and wish we could all be in Josh's shoes, and that is to travel the world and provide all of us plane enthusiasts, an outlet for every one of us to experience the privilege of commercial aviation travel.... even if it's on a sad note.
We will be back! Thank you Josh for an honest report. Keep flying and keep your fantastic trip reports coming!

🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Josh, our industry ends up taking a HUGE battering BUT it ALWAYS is the FIRST one that bounds right back to life! After 9/11, airports were empty, airlines folded, people lost jobs, and whatnot, BUT by the time the 1st Anniversary of 9/11 came around, airports were once more full of people, airlines brought back out the aircrafts, and the smiles returned. Covid-19 took my airline job of 19 years away from me, and I saw my beloved industry take a beating, BUT here we are in July of 2021 and things are beginning to look brighter again. The way I see it, before the year is out, we will be once again in the air and the joys of traveling will take on a whole NEW meaning!
ps:- YOU are the only aviation vlogger that I know whose love for our industry truly surpasses everything! RESPECT!

It was a terrible sad time for the world. I’m in Sydney, we had very strict lockdown rules. I live alone and sometimes my son would pick up some small shopping for me and hand it over my balcony, masks on, then drive off. He could not come in or chat. I would sit and cry.
A friend from uk got stranded - all return flights cancelled, he was staying with his brother so he had refuge, but he was stuck for almost 3 months, calling neighbours to look after his house.
We were better off than some I’m sure. We got through. 🙏🙏🇦🇺

As of now (August 2021) the situation is improving and tourists and flights are beginning to come back, but there have been many hotel closures and redundancies. This is very sad that I shed some tears.
Am supposed to fly on Garuda to London via AMS in less than two weeks but decided to scrap the trip and took Garuda's voucher offer.
Knowing even at end last year that Garuda is facing maturing debt to refinance, I can imagine the impossible state they are dealing with right now.
Thanks for making this vid. Stay safe

Hi Josh, normally a330 Garuda fly from Australia to Bali before continue the flight to Jakarta that’s why there is flight Bali to Jakarta with a330. I’ve been there before from Australia to Jakarta with Bali transit before continue to Jakarta with the same a330 plane

Thank you for the video. I am glad you are okay. On a happier note, the hotel was lovely! Here (Melbourne Australia) it is a ghost city. I have not been into the CBD for around a month! I miss cafe culture and shops and bustle and life. On the plus side, I am enjoying books, TH-cam, not having to catch transport to work and other ancillary benefits. My worry is not just the virus, but the threat to liberty from the fallout and the (probably well-intentioned, but you never know) attempts to curb the plague.

Great vlog as always. So sad to see everything so quiet. We should have been going to Thailand on 4th May but obviously that's cancelled. Just want to get back to normal as soon as possible and travel again. Stay safe everyone and we will get through this situation. 🙏🏻💪🏻🏖️🛫🍹

This video was released 2 years ago but I'm watching this today. It's so sad to see the lounge condition back then. Look how little the food was. One egg to cook in the cooking station is indeed sad.

On the plus side - less airplanes in the sky means less pollution on Earth. Over the past 10 years mass-tourism wasn't all rosy. It brought in large crowds and loads of $$$ for a few. But the reality for the locals came at a high price - road pollution, traffic congestion, high inflation and land speculation. No doubt there are better ways to promote tourism than greed and maximum profit.

@Josh, seen yr reviews lately n you r one of my prefered vlogers..Yes, it is indeed sad to see the impacts of corona virus to all aspects of life. Be safe n strong n keep posting reviews. Paris is locked down, and quiete empty. On yr review, you r so emotional, we can understand that.

Almost like a "ghost flight" Josh...strange times indeed and I agree with you that part of travelling is "people watching" as I call it. Observing other passengers...often making friends with fellow flyers...the list goes on. !! I think you are right about the use of the A 330....bringing supplies back to Bali...bigger cargo capacity !! A very sad flight indeed Josh and you seem a bit down with this video and I can fully understand why. We Australians love Bali and I am sure when all this is over...god knows when.... the Island will be swamped with Australians and others looking to get away from the current lock down laws and bans on International travel. Never been there myself but am willing to have a go to support their tourism industry ! Hong Kong had those cameras during the SARS outbreak...great idea and at the time luckily I had the all clear !! Love a Ritz Carlton hotel !! Thanks again mate...take care of yourself and we will all bounce back from this mess !! Stay well !!

i don't know when will this situation and this virus will end but during this whole period we have to stay home and do our bit by social distancing . during this period , other than those people who are considering this are a holiday , i am studying for further classes , exercising .... losing some weight , learning a new language and learning how to play guitar . i urge everyone work on their skills and study for their future . this thing is gonna be with us for a long time and in order to prevent this , we have to do our bit that is stay at home and stay safe. thank you Josh for the amazing content hope you are fine .
