Agreed. We've had 25 Saab vehicles. Our highest mileage is a 2006 9-3 Aero. Has 292k miles. Factory clutch went out at 292k on the dot. Managed to limp it home 20 miles in 3rd gear. Engine runs beautifully. The 2.8 engine is flawless. Smooth power and awesome reliability. Run a quality oil in them and they will run forever.

overall it was really clean. just a bit too expensive for a first car that i would have to insure, put as in, etc. gotta think logically.

I had one of these until recently. Was a great car to me, didn't really have any issues until the electrical gremlins started showing their head. Sold the car a few weeks ago after ordering a 2021 Mustang GT with the performance pack.

You should do a “let’s see how much a stock clutch can actually take” test
strightpipe sounds good on the 2.0t it has traction control and rear stear to turn traction control off its the esc button on the right hand side of the guage cluster and the top button clears all faults on the sid
Saabs are really easy to tune, the 2.3t and 2.0t are really easy to tune and map.
They are one of the most common tuner cars her in Sweden where i live.
Just map the 2.3t and you can get 260hp nemas problemas for 100 bucks or for free if you can map it yourself

The best way to bid adios to this car is by replacing the engine oil with liquid nitrogen and/or dry ice and driving/abusing it around the block until it finally dies. Once it dies, you can use a hammer to scrap the engine into tiny pieces right in your shop. Feed, Drive and Recycle!!!! Good Luck to Gavin and team! :D:D:D

OMFG yessssssss. I cant believe u got a saab. ive owned my 9-3 for a year now and it fucking amazing.
Saab tip. get ngk plugs 0.9 spaced a full 3 inch catback and a cold air intake then u can get a stage 3 map tune an run around 280 hp to the wheels. its worth it for sure trust me u wont regret those mods. also new clutch if u go stage 3 itll help. Cheap upgrades for a decent amount of hp gains. if u get a 3 inch intercooler as well u can make that stage 3 tune open up.
also dont ruin that car they dont make many of them an us saab owners are hurtin for parts
