    Don't you love how Marx just made the body clip on the F-unit truck? This is a trick from the Lionel/Marx toy train age, maximizing a power chassis for use on as many products as possible. The truck probably was Varney, or a copy. I know that Lionel used Athearn to produce their initial HO line in the late Fifties. Not the smoothest drivetrain. Many years ago I had a collection of industrial switchers from as many HO manufacturers from the 50s, 60s, and 70s I could acquire. I had limited room, so my dream was running the longest train practical for the layout with up to six mu'ed switchers

    To me this id one of your best repairs if only because you actually fabricated a part! Excellent!😀 Did you measure that brush holder out when you made it or did you do it by eye? Its a little thing but it shows how talented you are.😊
    Here are three non train related links that I think you will enjoy since some of the running gags during the live streams are good natured jokes comparing the USA and Canada.
    This first link is to Mr. Breat and compares the two nations directly, a head to head comparison between the US and Canada in a very entertaining way:
    th-cam.com/video/BUz_0DM7F48/w-d-xo.html
    The second video is by JJ McCollough. He is a young guy who does political commentary in an entertaining manner; don't worry he is not some guy in a suit droning on. 😊 What's more he is not only your fellow countryman but also a Quebecqois (but like you he is of English and not French decent).
    The second video by JJ is about Canadian Propoganda on how the Government wants the rest of the world to percieve her:
    th-cam.com/video/Ev-ml0iUN6w/w-d-xo.html
    Both are done with plenty of humor and no rancor and snideness.
    Here is another vid by JJ saying there are six types of Canadians. Which one is you?😉:
    th-cam.com/video/PGGl-oDqLlE/w-d-xo.html
    If you saw any these already then once again sorry.😅
    Now go make a few plastic drawbars!😊

    I noticed on one of your videos that you mentioned you were looking up a small N scale locomotives made by Aurora. I have one. It was marketed as an 0-6-0 called the Li'l Donkey. First made in 1968, it was the smallest model locomotive mass produced at the time. It was eventually offered by MRC or Model Power. It is all metal, fast and sounds like an angry wasp. Wish I could post a picture for you.

  • @CR7659
    @CR7659 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I probably said before, but the tooling for these went to Model Power, and when they folded, Lionel bought it. But before they quit you could buy a version of this same switcher with DCC and crude sound in it. What I always wondered is where the tooling sat from like the mid-60s to around the mid-90s. A lot of HO stuff moves from company to company (or importer) but this stuff sat somewhere not used and yet not scrapped either.
