I was in Memorial Coliseum when the Blazers won the title in 1977. I had just left my high school graduation rehearsal and found myself in the Blazers victory parade at Terry Shrunk Plaza. I spoke to him at Powells books and he was very excited about some audio memorabilia that I had. I told him I would pray for him. I will today. RIP
I looooved listening to him call NBA games... you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth, but it was always with great enthusiasm and entertaining. Nobody was quite like Bill, both as a player, and as a person. I was 12 years old when I saw him win a title with the Celtics, he'll always be a legend to me.
This hits hard because I’m a die hard UCLA fan!! My dad went to UCLA and Bill is our goat with Kareem. Rest in Peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😔 I watch every UCLA game and support always. Bill will be missed
My grandpa passed to cancer as well. When he was in hospice care man it destroyed me. So the fact that this man somehow had the will to come on collage broadcasting and things of that nature while battling this is incredible. R.i.p to the legend Bill Walton. A lot of people knew you for the player, I knew you as the commentator and you did a hell of a job at both. Rest in Peace legend.
I am going to miss the Walton/Pasch duo just as much as I am the Pac 12 conference. So sad that the biggest face of the conference passes away the day after the last event of the conference. Seems fitting that the face of the conference will never have to see a day with "the conference of champions". RIP Bill.
On a show, he was speaking about his love for Dylan, then he said you must listen to Thea Gilmore sing " I will remember you", he said it brought tears to his eyes everytime ,,, in honor of Bill, listen to this song, it WILL bring the tears believe me.
I’m a Portland Trailblazers fan and I have been one my entire life. I’m 45 now I became a Blazer maniac when I was seven years old. I have lived in the Portland area for almost 25 years and no matter who I talk to Bill Walton is a legend here we love him. I was getting pretty choked up today and I was reading the news headline and was like no no no it can’t be true not Bill! he dealt with so much physical pain towards the end and I’m just hoping he’s not hurting anymore. Thank you, Bill Walton. Thank you for everything. You are truly loved forever.
I lived in San Carlos for a few years when I was in college and would see him riding his bicycle all the time. Always made my day when I’d say hi and he’d wave back
It just struck me that something about the man has the flavor of Sainthood. Even a secular society has needs for Saints, even if they appear amongst us wearing size 15 athletic shoes, hanging with Deadheads down on the beaches of California.
RIP to Big Red UCLA legend, one of the greatest NBA centers ever, and a human being who always made you laugh and smile. The 🌍 will miss you sir . Throw it down!
RIP Bill Walton.... I bet Shaq will still find something to hate about the Big Redhead and will make it about himself when he gets a chance just to talk about Bill Walton.

Throw it Down Big Man, Throw it Down
Salute Legend 😓😥😞
I grew up as a kid watching him play at UCLA. He was a winner. His career wasn't the same after his feet started failing him.
Bill & Snapper. The best. ❤️
I'll miss seeing him riding his bicycle past my house and waving.

@@michaeldavis9300That was him alright.

Shaq paid for George Mikan’s funeral
You're a foolish person
RIP
Blazer goat.
Today's NBA COACHES can't ask a player if he wants to take a break. Or even tell him to take a break.
