My truck (06 Colorado 2wd crew cab, struts) had a fabtech ft21027 already installed when I got it, which has lift spindles and a lower ball joint relocation parts to it, that moved the lower ball joint to below the control arm, I've been trying to find out if I can just swap the ball joint with the spacer that took it's place in the lower control arm, to bring the truck down about a inch to where I want it. I've tried to talk with fabtech about it but they weren't helpful.
Not likely. The geometry would be all funky. I definitely have a buyer for the spindles if you want to swap to my coil lift and that will get you closer to your desired height and make you some money in the process.
@@BadlandIndustries I don't have the original spindles to swap to. Looking at the geometry, it looks like, by moving the lower ball joints back to OEM location would restore proper geometry, instead of tie rods being angled down so much, and would also give the upper control arm and ball joint a better angle, kind of like your upper spacer would. Just trying to find the best and easiest solution with what I got. I'm in the research stage right now.
Love my 355’s. My 27 year old Chinese spring compressor lost its thread yesterday after dropping the springs so I decided to see what info is out here on my down time. Those CST spindles are discontinued? Only I find are Fabtech 3 kits. Maxi track for 15 and up. Do you know where to get long travel kits?
I have a 2wd z71 and seem to find these answers of companies that used to sell these knuckles my problem is finding any still selling them. I like the idea of that cst, with a helper spring and leaf spring lift you sell. Although idk if that’d lift it enough, either way I can’t seem to find any knuckles. Maybe just not looking in the right areas
So I actually found your old post on 355, in the video you said z85 is bolt in but on post said you will need machined taper for the tie rod now going on top. Also I meant in my last comment I can’t even find any cst spindles for sale Cst seems to be the way to go if I’m gathering my info correct, if I were to somehow find a set would it be possible to mount h3 hubs and brakes on? Seems like a very worthwhile upgrade. Then again I may just not be able to wrap my head around all this, not really having a kit for sale saying 2wd z71 here ya go lol
@@zeriqr7098 i have cst spindles in stock. Unfortunately you cannot install h3 brakes and hub on to it. You can however install the 09+ brakes and rotors. They are bigger.

Question. I have a 2008 Colorado z71 4x4. I bought a 2004 z71 but its 2wd. Can I swap everything over and it work on the 2004 frame? Will the front differential bolt up and everything else 4x4 bolt up on the 2wd frame?
coil lift always flip and spacer. spindle, being essentially stock replacement not necessary but it wont hurt anything to get the spacer and flip the ball joint.
@@red_stag05 well since the lower ball joint is already on the bottom of the arm no. I recommend putting the steering stop above the ball joint for an extra .25in lift.

@mekial2222 you'd get bump steer. Spindles are easy to find on car-part . com
So if I just have torsion keys cranked would the dif drop pucks and ball joint spacers help my front end and bring it up?
Ball joint spacers and diff drops are not for gaining lift. They offset the lift by reducing the angles on those components after you lift.
I have an 06 Chevy Colorado 2wd I'm stock suspensions and want to get a 3inch lift, would shackles and the spring spacers help give that 3inch look?
Our coil lift will get you close. You can then get bigger tires or source a spindle lift to add to it.
thank you, i have a friend who is selling me the coil spacers and i just want to know if it would lift the front of the truck. @@BadlandIndustries
Hey Kevin so can I stack the ball joint spacer and coil spacer to get more lift on my z85 2wd canyon?
you need the ball joint spacer to prevent early wear on the ball joint when you install a spacer lift
Cool thanks man!
