You should glue the green felt back onto the bottom. It helps others figure out it's age somehow. I think it's 1 of a pair of books. You two found some awesome & amazing stuff. Keep up the good work!
We had a family friend who made some tomato jam one year & talk about the best stuff in the world. My husband loved it! He couldn't stop eating it! After that the friend made it every year until he moved to Oregon with his son. My husband was so sad, he loved that stuff. He was addicted to it! LOL IDK if it was just that guys secret recipe or what but we never had any since then. I should have gotten his recipe! He's long passed, in fact we found out he had cancer. I think that's why he moved to his son's house, to spend as much time that he had with him. Which makes me happy that he did. If Sammi can get her hands on that recipe she could try making some. Your mom might have it. You two will fall in love with it. When I was 15/16 I made a bunch of loquat jam, it turned out great. We had a loquat tree so I tried it. I'd never canned before, I just followed the recipe.

Its funny that some people think its weird to listen to cassette tapes these days. I always buy cassettes with good music, if i find them for a cheap price!

My grandparents had a bookend like the one you got for $1 at the garage sale ... but theirs had a bear eating a salmon on it. I think it was bronze. They used it as a doorstop on one of their interior doors. I sure wish I'd grabbed it when they liquidated their estate in the 80s...

They use to make a stroller that you could smash a button and slide your push bar to the other side, so you could look at babies while you push... don’t know if that’s still a thing or not, but I loved it!!! Keep a secret $50 or $100 folded up in your wallet for “cannot pass up” emergency deals. Don’t forget to bargain, people expect it. Also when you run into a big sale with motivated sellers, offer to pick up leftovers at the end and dispose of their stuff. Good way to get scrap.

How do you find out what day city trash days are in certain parts of each city
Usually I search the city name and trash schedule and it comes up either on the city website or a local trash hauler has it posted such as waste management.
