    How do you know that this is the Chelsea? There isn’t a tag inside saying “The Chelsea” like the Kensington or the Sangriham. I also see the tag a bit different, without the tiger and unicorn with Appointed by Her Majesty or something like that. Could you help explain?

      This trench was purchased through Burberry internally and doesn’t feature tags used in retail/online stores. However, to answer your question, all trench coats have a label inside the hip pocket that have serial numbers to identify the item. The serial number for my trench is 8017350. I hope that helps!
      Raymonds comment isn’t completely accurate. Designs are changed each season or with a collection. The current Chelsea Trench will be different to mine and that one will be different from next years. This is why some become very expensive, because they have desirable detailing that was for a specific “vintage”.

      ASMR Unbox Thank you, that makes sense. I could see that some trench sold in outlet stores do not have the same tag details as in boutique stores.
      Just hope that the quality of the trenches in the outlet system is the same as that in the boutique one. I am not sure about Burberry but some other brands do sell products of lower quality at outlets.

      I don’t know about the quality from outlets as I’ve never been to one but if I was going to buy a luxury item, I definitely wouldn’t buy it from an outlet. In my experience it’s best to buy it brand new from a store. Burberry trench coats are a perfect example; they recommend to have them resurfaced everyone once in a while but I think official Burberry stores will only offer the service if your purchased the item from them. If I lost a button off of the trench in this video, a Burberry store wouldn’t replace it for me as I purchased it directly through the corporate HQ. If I purchased it in-store then the store would offer the service to replace a button through warranty. Always buy luxury items in an official store.

      ASMR Unbox I totally agree with you about purchasing at an official boutique store. But if the outlet offers the same quality of dated seasonal designs (mostly classic designs for Burberry, so not much difference), whilst you can save 60-70% of the full price, it is definitely worth considering. I am a bit surprised to hear about Burberry’s after sales services that you mentioned. If true, it is hugely disappointing. Other brands, Gucci or LV for example, would provide after sales and supporting services as long as you buy their authentic items, regardless of where you buy them from.

    I'm sorry, but for me this trench coat looks maybe a size too small when worn, because it looks a bit tight even already without a thick sweater or suit jacket underneath.
    I don't like it when the sleeves of a trench coat are attached straight to the shoulder area and then have very noticeable seam edges/ridges there.
    A real "classic" trench coat goes to the knee so it's longer and the sleeves are attached seamlessly to the lower seam of the collar, because then the coat always looks well-fitting, especially if no suit jacket with its own shoulder ridges is worn underneath.
    That's why I like the classic trench coats from, for example, the English brand "Auqascutum" better and especially the model "Aquascutum of London made in England specially for Old England Parma - Aqua 5" has a special type of permanent water and stain repellency named "Aqua 5" that is unique and is exclusive to special Aquascutum models and the high quality is absolutely the same as that of all English manufacturers, just “typically England”.

    The quick movements and noise associated with handling the trench coat seemed a little strange. Maybe some background music would help.

    I can't justify spending over £1000 for a coat compared to stores such as river Island

    • @ASMRUnbox
      @ASMRUnbox  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Like most people. The Burberry trench coats are 1000 x better quality than brands like River Island, Zara etc...but anyone on a “normal” salary who spends £1,000 on a piece of clothing is an IDIOT. It’s fashion for rich people.
