Wow !!! I can't believe my 66 year old self be dancing ever time I hear 🔦 Flashlight & one of my favorite by Marvin Gaye is Got To Give It Up & each time I hear either one of those 2 songs I be on the dance floor in any room of the house ☺ 🎶 🎷 🎹 🎸 April 18, 2020
Man, I remember skating to this and other great grooves back in the day! How I Wish I was able to still skate today. Still hit up the “Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll” mixes for the memories. 😂
Modernization of our society gave everyone different agendas, thus changing their overall disposition toward others. It's bullshit, yeah, but that's how it is.
It stopped when everyone became better than everyone else thanks to social networking, promoting the notion that anyone can be publicly admired like a celebrity. The result .......... widespread egotism.
I was the only white gurl at a P-funk concert in 1977 in Dallas and then married my ex who played guitar for George in London. My kid and the ex just saw him together in Vegas. Full circle. Best INTRO in the world!!!!!!!
Man, I really like this song. And when I say I like this song, I mean I really like it because it's just so funky and groovey! I can see myself dancing to this in a party.
I Absolutely Love Funk music and have since I first heard it back in the 70's! Here in North Alabama we have a radio station, 107.3 WQLT that plays Funkadelic Friday every Friday night from 6 till 1am! Listen every Friday night!
Yeeeeesssss Flashlight 🔦🔦😘🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥Spotlight.. Neon Light .. everybody's got a little light under the sun, under the sun. .🎶🎶🎶🔥🔥🎶🎶 Are you kidding. Agreed on all comments.. . this song is one is of the all time funkiest, happiest songs ever...
one of the background singers let me sneak in the side door of the Fox theater . I hid backstage behind the speakers until they played Flash Light joined airbody onstage and did the cabbage patch like never before!#!
This track takes me back to school in 1992. I was a white 14 year old growing up in a black boarding school and being force fed LA Rap and Reggae music and sounds like this by my mates which at first I did not like much but it grew on me in a big way. And my memories was refreshed by Eazy E pool party in Straight out of Compton. Great sounds and movement in this track, love it:-)
ALL you youngsters missed the BEST generation of the era. I was THERE and we had a "BALL." No guns, No killing, No hatin' , No drive by's.........nothing but a good ole time at the disco (club)........or the skating rinks. All day, everyday, something was jumping off. Always a NEW dance coming out and everyone wanted to learn how to do it. The boyz actually asked the girls to DANCE instead of holding up the wall with their hands on their jock. Yes, young people, YOU MISSED OUT!!!!........but I didn't. If your granny is in her late 50's and 60's..ask her about the good ole days.
You ain't gotta tell me OG, I'm just old enough to have watched it all go downhill. It's sad knowing what you missed out on. Even though I can't dance anyway :P
What a happy, carefree world it was in the mid 1970s! Funkadelic, the first generation "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!", National Lampoon magazine, Disaster movies, JAWS, the Exorcist, and more. It was a great time to be young.
First time I heard this was standing in line at the chow hall in basic training in 1977. Didn't get to hear the entire album until I went home for Christmas leave.
The GREATEST band in the history of popular music.... the magnificent and mighty.... PARLIAMENT
