Thank you Jeff. I may never get to the museum but I feel like I've seen it now. On the other hand, it just could be worth a special trip from St. Louis.

As the video progressed Jeff kind of dancing around the story of the 1822 Half Eagle. But I was glad when he finally told us the story. What's hard to grasp is that one of the coin dealers he used to bid on the coin was actually bidding on coins for someone else also. I bet that Harry Bass never made that mistake again. If the only 1822 Half Eagle ever goes to auction again, 6-10 million would be very realistic. It's actually rarer than the 1933 Double Eagle. Great video Jeff. Thanks!

I believe it was bid up to 10 million a few years ago in 1 of the Pogue sales, but even at that price it failed to meet the reserve minimum so it did not sell. I'm guessing that Billionaire Dell Loy Hansen will try to buy it for his attempt to chase Eliasberg for a Complete Set of US Coins. He just bought an 1875 10 Eagle in AU50 last week at the Long Beach Show. He bought an 1894-S barber dime a few years ago. He has an 1884 1885 Trade Dollar. He has a Flowing and Coiled Stella $4. He has an 1804 Silver Dollar, He bought the Bruce Morland Collection of Seated US Silver Dollars which was the finest ever assembled. He has an almost complete set of $20 Gold Series except for the 1933 Double Eagle and maybe some Proofs. I believe he does have a 1907 Ultra High Relief St Gaudens. He has most of the Early Dollar Set, and Early $10 Eagles, I think he also has a complete set of almost every denomination from the small cent 2 cent 3 cent 5 cent quarter and half dollar all the way to present day. What he's missing is a of course some of the early 2 and 1/2 and half eagles, and also few of the Early American Copper Coins. He's going for every major variety in all series so he's missing many of those and he is also trying to get every proof that was every made he still needs a lot of the early Proof coins. I believe he's missing the 1792 Half Disme also. He needs an 1854-S Half Eagle and he will need the 1870-S $3 from Mr. Harry Bass's Collection here so that's kinda a big "if". Should be interesting to see if he can do it, he is close. His collection is listed in the PCGS Registry with pics of almost every coin. It's amazing to look at for sure.

Harry was a collectors collector. I remember the sales of his collection that didn't get sent here. It was a big deal and the coins that didn't end up here would be a collection of lifetime for most.

The Only Problem there's NO UNIQUE Popular Coin Out there ! a single Postage Stamp of QElizabeth worth 100 Million. Oh Yeah ! A Unique Coin is always Priceless because impossible to Counterfeit it.

Are these Eliasberg coins that sold at the NY City auction still in the Bass Collection, or the coins ahve been resold and spread around the country to many different collectors? Are there any privately owned coins that are marked "Eliasberg" by PCGS and NGC while certifying the coin (I have seen amny Morgans marked "Eliasberg collection" at the PCGS label inside the coin slabs . Where are all these coins today? Aere the deplayed anywhetre where it's possible go watch them at some museum or gallery?

Wooow absolutely stunning, this would be a true experience going there in real life to eatch this beautiful one of a kind collection all at the same spot. Why not showing different coins while the man ist talking, instead of showing only him. This video would be a lot more interesting watching if coins were shown thrue the doc
