Hey Leo, if you ever see this, I’d like to know what you’d think of me continuing this story, this video and BTS series is primarily what inspired me to make my tales of Sodor series, I have most of the characters in TOMY/trackmaster form, and could get everyone I don’t have. I would take my own story path, but keep the same feel
I remember first watching this when it was originally uploaded back in 2007, and it was a huge source of inspiration for me. Even to this day it still remains a favorite of mine. It’s a shame episode 2 never saw the light of day, but what we did get in this episode was still incredibly well-made. You inspired me along with many others, and for that, you should be very proud indeed. Thank you very much.
Honestly the visual and special effects and just the sheer quality that went into the sets alone I find are better than most videos in the fandom today. This thing's 10 years old and it still amazes me.
This first episode took around 6 months to produce, not full time just a few hours here and there. It took 7 years to find a audience via youtube, to be honest I am surprised just how popular it has become, this is a reload in 16:9 of a upload I did two years back which was in 4:3. I feel it looks much better in 16:9, and this way it blends into episode 2 / 3.
I still find this absolutely incredible. You did an fantastic job, the production quality is better than the entirety of big world big adventures and i still can't figure out who the mad bomber really is...
I'm pretty late now, but I just need to say how much it shocks the hell out of me that this is literally 20 years old now. And all I can say is, if haven't been for this one video, I don't think we'd be getting more fan Thomas content today. I guess all I want to say, is Thank you Leo, not just for our childhoods, and not just for the creativity of this masterpiece. But being probably the biggest inspiration of all Thomas content creators. You and this video means a lot to me and others, and I am not going to forget that. Cheers
This singular TH-cam video set the golden standard, for decades of fan content to come. Sir, you are an absolute legend, the writing & cinematography are absolutely spot on. Still a nostalgic feeling watching this video even in 2022.

What you did here Leo will always be a trip years back, The work you put into this episode felt so classic to Thomas while feeling so dark I also really liked how you used the Ertl range instead of the Tomy range!
This was the first time I ever saw Ertl. It made Thomas's face look scarier than it already did. They made Thomas's face more inaccurate than the paper face version. Likely because they had to make a new mold rather than copying and pasting the illustration from Thomas & The Trucks.

Its sad this is what youtube has become. but maybe one day youtube is just going to collapse on its self. Leo, you have talent that if youtube ever did stop working, you'll be able to make videos that could stand the test of time, that's because you put enough effort, not like some gaming channels that just do the same thing over and over again. but i don't see youtube collapsing anytime soon.
+leokimvideo If I may, a simple solution would be to just upload said material to another site???
+Alexander the nerdy pony (or Quincy the Clownfish) Dude i totally agree with u leo is one of those utubers that just does everything and vids like these are classics that TH-cam can not ever earase because Leo has gone thru a lot of things. Just think about how much money hes spent on toys. Leo if ur reading this dont stop what ur doing on TH-cam just keep going and Dont Ever Stop because if u quit ill cry and im sure about 1000 people will cry to just go the long distance. I know u can do it.
There are so many unanswered questions though,
A true peice of art. We all wanted episode 2 but if we never got it maybe thats how it was ment to be.

A world where the engines are autonomous and somehow able to shovel their own coal.
