We don't seem to get many discounts on the Superblast here in Australia and they sell out very fast so I tend to agree with you. Value wise, Novablast wins the day. You might get a performance benefit and greater versatility from the Superblast but really I think it is way overhyped and over priced. I don't have the Novablast 4. I do have the previous 3 versions and in comparison to the Superblast I find them more than adequate. What's more is you can find the Novablast on sale more often and the availability is usually not an issue. Also if I want to go faster on a long run I can choose so many carbon plate options these days like a discounted Metaspeed Edge/Sky or Rebellion Pro. I'd be curious what the professional Asics runners use more often - the Superblast or Novablast or other shoe?
From perspective of bigger runer - 191cm / 90kg Had novablast 3 - hated it - very soft to the point of being mushy and unusable, very hot upper - yes it is well priced but in my instance money thrown out of the window Because of that experience wasn't really looking into superblast.. until picked pair - fantastic long run shoe for me, very protective, smoth ride and great for all sorts of paces, in my opinion fantastic upper - at $320 without option to get it on discount it is overpriced - true - but again in my instance money very well spend Problem for bigger runners is that most of you tube reviews are done by people of some how more runner bild and weight...
Love the novablast 4 I actually prefer them to my superblast 😂 They feel just as good on run but don’t feel as big, only thing superblast does better is holding a longer tempo pace.
I alternate 2 pairs of Superblasts. My last pair lasted me forever. I don't really understand the price without some kind of plate, but when it comes to performance they're so much more responsive than most daily trainers. They last a long while and I think for $200 USD they're worth it.
Yes. The Superblast is overpriced. For what it offers you could do it all in a do it all daily trainer. I have the Superblast but it’s probably the last pair. For me a perfect shoe rotation is having two solid do it all daily trainers with different heel drops and a race shoe. Two pairs of you need to train in them a lot before a race. Examples: a Novablast 4 and a Rebel V3 and your favourite race shoes.

@@thespecialone7632 Even with 30% discount they are still pricey given their short lives for a runner. Superblast was the only shoes I bought full retail price.
Novablast is more suited to daily runs where the Flash 2 is more of a speed shoe so it depends on what you are using them for. Nova is a safer shoe and will suit more people. Flash is a bit risky.

I totally agree with you. Superblast lasts so much and for me there isnt any shoe that delivers the same it does.
The Nova 4 is not far off the Superblast... Just softer

All shoes are overpriced at full retail price. I got my superblast for £130 with a discount. The novablast 4 is selling for £135

What would you recommend between the Novablast and the Mizuno Flash 2?
Novablast is more suited to daily runs where the Flash 2 is more of a speed shoe so it depends on what you are using them for. Nova is a safer shoe and will suit more people. Flash is a bit risky.
