@@Lemonhead8890 yeah, it's the real deal dude, EM as an audiophile car audio us based company deserves more credit for their designs, I'd easily put them up against b2 audio for example, a nice Amp for it would be the jp3 cpt, running the Amp at 4 ohms will net you nearly 750w rms or so at 90 percent efficiency, you also get the added benefit of voltage and temperature read out on the bass nob as well as a cliplight. Another Really good value sub "which the em is for its built quality and power density" would be Dayton audios he 12" sub definitely check that sub out, handles 800w rms, is really affordable and would be a perfect match for the cpt too.
@@Lemonhead8890 parts-express sells those Dayton subs, even the he 15 is great too, they also sell professionally pieced together subwoofer box kits that you can put together yourself as well as everything you'd need to build whatever you'd want audio related pretty much.
Just a thought, when it comes to woofer excursion on camera I think you need to include a caMera shot from behind the cone and show the spider and coil moving. It helps us on TH-cam see how much distance they’re travelling.
3:31 dare accepted, check out EM audios EM-6.5HDv2, it handles 600 - 700w rms, has a double stack 105 ounce magnet, 2" voice coil and can move a whole inch of excursion, like the U series, it is targeted at audiophiles. Your x6.5 v3 should be made to top it, give it 1.5 to 2" of excursion, with all day 750 to 800 watts of power handling and the most extreme ventilation for cooling!
I had to look this up just incase there was one better. In the specs it is 16mm xmax 1 way. Making 32mm total. While true it’s over an inch, the U-6.5 is 19mm xmax one way and 38mm total. It does however need to be lined up w all the rest and given a beating, see who stands on top.
I would like to see a passive radiator version of these top assemblies, you might not have to double up on the passive radiators to work with a single 6.5" lower-level woofer, just one woofer and one passive.
Finally found something that will fit under the back seats of my tundra. I just hope the Atrend double vented enclosure works well with them. I dwill have to do a bit of trimming and spacers to make them fit but just hope there is enough air space and sound quality
I seen a demo from a guy that just bought one. It lasted about 3 minutes at RMS. The retailer gave him a new one under warranty, but things didn't go well for that one either. If memory serves, it was really pricey too. I like Memphis and have owned subs and amps from them and was happy with everything I had.

Haha. I really wanted 2x6.5's but I ended up with an SA-8. Super limited with what I can do for a box, double cab Tacoma so it'll be behind the center console, in front of the back seat. After seeing some of these 6.5's I am almost wondering if I should go to a single 6.5 instead. I'm hoping I can manage a .55-.60 ported. Those little things look fiesty!
Just got a Frontier and I'm thinking 2 of these will be perfect for an under rear-seat enclosure. Most other 6.5s have an Fs around 60 Hz, these are down at 40 Hz and will be much better for the lows that I love.
I love such little beasts. But should be compared to DD 1506, Gately Audio Relentless 6.5 V2, Gately Audio Alpha 6.5 V2, Zeroflex EVO6.5XL to say which is the best.

There's only one thing I look for in any sub (which I'm not gonna share), be it SQ or SPL … and the only sub in your list that has it, is Sundown! So for me, it's the Sundown hands down.

Derek, I am doing 3 in a BMW x6 m power. You think that will be nasty enough? Or 4 be much better? On sound qubed q-2200 at 1.3. Also I think the Savard hi-Q is the closest but U is king. Even over new x series. U agree the Savard is a lil beast too?
Ppl really seem to not understand how cone area works. Especially with those w shape sorrounds there's less loss im SD that's why with PA subs that often have this sorrounds they have more SD than the single roll sorround version of it. Way better way of making good high excursion woofer's if you can make the sorround well.
Some of the best looking and built looking 6.5 out of everyone else's. The w surround is badass wish i could buy 3 of them to put in my truck. Sundown for the win. If you want send me 2 for long term testing will greatly be appreciated 😊.
You guys make awesome audio equipment … The only thing you could do to up the appeal in my opinion would have other options for the dust, cap or cone area… Maybe the couple premium subwoofers have carbon fiber dust caps with a more premium logo… Something to set apart the top-of-the-line bad ass subs in your lineup. The current dust caps look a little on the cheap side. I don’t believe they convey the actual quality of your guises subwoofers.
Dude, you need to find a coworker with a high end phone that has the slo mo feature, even at 20 hz, Realtime footage is too fast to really appreciate these demos. 300 to 400hz slow mo might be incredible.

I don't believe that one subwoofer is King of them all, because there are so many different brands out there with different options, components, ratings, etc.

Memphis makes a beast 6.5. Had mine 2ohm. way overpowered with a TXP1.6000D Soundstream. Nice little budget build!

I just installed these in my F150. Running 2 of them in a T-Line box on an IA 5.1. Way under powered right now but sound awesome and get low!
