One of my besties is an engineer at the dam so I had a chance to visit the operating chamber of the dam and you know what its located 600 meters below the base of the mountain next to the dam structure and we went through huge tunnel to reach it, it was a wonderful experience it had water pipes with diameter of about a room height through which water is released and had huge fans to maintain ventilation. Old tihri remains can still be seen when the water level goes down in the summers. In all an engineering marvel took 30 years to complete. As tourist destination a gem of a place for those who really want peace of mind. Edit: Koteshwar Mahadev is a temple located nearby the koteshwar unit of the dam it is believed that the temple was made by the Pandavas when they were on there final journey visited it too. ✌🏻
Tehri dam situated on the sangam of bhagirathi and bhilangana.. resorvior name = swami ram tirath sagar.. height = 260.5 meters tehri dam = 1000 megawatts,tehri pump storage =1000 megawatts,koteshwar dam =400 megawatts
The people who got displaced while the making of Tehri dam got a lumsome amount of compensation which was way more than the actual value so there's no need to play victim card!

Ek report k mutabik.... UK m cloud burst badne ka karan Tehri Dam h.
Storage capacity of tihri is just 1/6 of indira sagar.
