I would love to hear your review on the A8 and how it compares to the A6. Also how they both compare to the Bluesound Node in sound quality when using the internal DAC to an integrated amplifier. I personally wouldn't buy the A6 as I think it wouldn't be much of a step up in sound quality to the node when using the internal DAC and it bugs me that it doesn't have a HDMI e-arc input for TV connection which the A8 does. I think a lot of people already have a great DAC in their system and would use the Eversolo as a streaming platform only. Should they just use a WIIM or is there a difference other than the pretty screen in the Eversolo A6?
I have the Wiim Pro and use it as a streamer into my Gustard R26. Loving the combo. I tried the DMP A6 into my R26 and could not hear a difference….at least to my ears. Having the EQ in the Wiim software is a huge plus for me. Needless to say, the DMP A6 went back
I have spent a few months juggling things, I started with Naim Uniti Atom but wanted to separate out transport, DAC and amp for future flexibility, I started by bypassing the amp running a Naim Nap 250 Dr into KEF R11 + Rel T9x. I got a Wii pro plus, the added a linear power supply (that made a big difference) , then added a Gustard A26 DAC, then picked up an Eversolo A6...I got it partly because I was used to a small screen and didn't expect to keep it... I then went backwards to see which step had to be he biggest change... I returned the Wii pro plus... I do believe that the A6 is probably the weak point in my system now but I am now wallowing in the best sound I have ever experienced at home and loving it.
Thanks for the review. Truly appreciate it. However, there is an aspect that you mentioned twice which I don’t really understand nor notice, and that is TIMING. My question is how do you tell if timing is good, bad or just right?
Timing is organisation and clarity in the sound, I have spent a lot of time with very high end gear and digital gear with exceptional timing the Chord Hugo TT2 and M Scaler - timing is what that setup excels at so you get used to hearing it and that is helpful
Very discerning, detailed review. I don't have a streamer yet and I must confess this is very tempting. Many thanks, Terry. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Who is to blame about the hype of the eversolo A6? the reviews of course! they do anything to get audience. In the end the eversolo is a good produtc but is not a gianr killer produt. shame reviwers!!!
Good review. Since my hifi stuff isn't visible from where I listen a display isn't important for me. My tablet is the most important for streaming. So I choose a Blusound N130 with separate PDcreative powersupply, usb out to a Denafrips Hermes---> Pontus2. I depend on very good powersupplies, also found in the Denafrips equipment. The Eversolo is a very nice product although
`Great thourough revieuw, saw some other revieuws and really like the touch display and excellent styling so bought one online yesterday for 770 euro. Can't wait to install it lol.
Greetings from Romania and thank you for this excellent review. I just subscribed to your channel because this video convinced me that it's worth following you and I'm going to start watching all your old videos now, luckily the Christmas holiday is coming 😀. I also tested DMP A6 Standard and in the end I chose the Master Edition version and I assure you that it is worth paying 450 euros more. I replaced a DAC and a streamer that cost about 3500 euros togheter and I am more than satisfied. The main reason for me was that I can listen Apple Music in HiRes, I MHO SQ is better than Tidal. For my personal music collection I prefer his software to Roon because it handles more formats and allows me browsing through folders, which for me is a big advantage considering that Roon is extremely bad at indexing files. I hope you will do a review on DMP 8 A as soon as possible. All the best Bogdan
Keep in mind that the EQ in Roon delays the music for about 1/2 second when you make any adjustments. Not ideal. No delay with the Wiim app. I really wish others would have a built in EQ in their software.
Good afternoon everyone. i’m wondering if any of you would be kind enough to answer this question for me. I’m currently streaming my music from TIDAL on my iPhone to my AV Arcam AVR 11.. I really fancy the Eversolo A 6,but I fear that it would be redundant to purchase it Would I gain any audio benefits or basically just pay a lot of money for a nice touchscreen? The DAC in my Arcam sounds really good to me. Thank you very much .
You can get better sound from the arcams by feeding it with a better digital source, however I wouldn't recommend you buy this. You better off getting the arcam setup really well with your speakers, subwoofer and dirac maybe and using tidal connnect, you can get some really good results like that, especially with multi channel stereo.
I am very happy with my unit but I have a few niggles - if you soft switch it off you cannot switch it on from the app (and the comfort of your chair) as the app cannot connect to the unit plus I have a lot of music on the SSD but, as is normally the case with steamer apps, there is no simple implementation of shuffle all tracks - yes you can set it to shuffle and to play all tracks but it always starts with the same song I.e. which ever is first in your track list - surely it isn’t too difficult to implement a true shuffle The sound quality for me is excellent and I also like the fact I can use Apple Music app for the odd time I actually stream anything.
Didnt realize I could upsample with the A6. Thanks for the tip! I run the A6 direct to a tube amp and don't hear elevated treble but that could be age-related too. I can listen for hours without fatigue. Best feature for me is ripping CDs to its internal SSD. Playing ripped FLAC sounds better to me than from my NAD CD player thru its own or A6 DAC. For me, the A6 is a keeper.
A couple of questions hopefully you guys can help. First off using just a transport to a dac any big difference between the wiim pro + and the es a6? Has anyone tried tidal multichannel does that work with the hdmi out on the es a6 ?
eversolo couldn't even get the Airplay 2 license (even thought they originally said it would be included) so good luck for Dirac Live ;) and something nobody mentions is the poor integration of Airplay in an Airplay 2 configuration (lots of dropouts and sound delay between Airplay 2 speakers and the eversolo) and their bad customer service
Dirac Live is very optimistic but someone needs to ask for this feature and I know better than anyone it would be more useful than 10 streaming services and other features you dont need.
Considering the Bluesound Node X is $749 and comparable streamers with displays are $1,500-2K… $850 for this is a nice sweet spot. The A8 at $2,500 is a different story.
The A8 is just under $2k actually. And isn't in the same league at all. It's a big step up in SQ. Plus it's a real analog preamp, and has a nice linear PS built in. As opposed to the switch mode in this one. Horses for courses. Like for me. I would consider this a huge waste of money. Where as the A8. Not so much. Truth is I wouldn't get either of them, because I prefer the full functionality of a PC (I use an Intel NUC 11th gen i3). And I like my streamer separate from my DAC. But that's just me.✌️
I set one of these up for a non tech friend taking the plunge into Digital streaming. I got to use it for the week I set it up and it sat in place of my Aualic G1 for that week. I was very surprised by the SQ on offer for the price, and I can certainly see why this has made a splash. As a roon user I have no need for flashy displays, so It didnt appeal to me, butt I can see the appeal for newer hifi users or those who need to use it as a desk top unit. Much as I rated it, it didnt have quite the class of my Auralic G1 and I was releived how much I enjoyed going back to my own unit. As usual Terry, much appreciate your work. I pulled the trigger on some Wharfdale Elysian 3's last week and I feel like Im in a dream. I replaced some Evo 4.4's, so I knew I'l like the family sound, but good god - I'm blown away. Your review of them helped me - thank you!
Yeah the Elysian is a whole other level of speaker - so much more clarity and refinement richness and quality. Very nice purchase and I am very happy for you
love the review , you metioned that you used the steaming section of the a6 with the tt2 but did not do the same with the wiim pro i think people would also like to know what the streaming sections of both a6 and wiim compare like . i compared the two streamers and i do not like the steaming section of the a6 , i think that the wiim pro streaming section is better than the a6 . has anyone else compared the two please let me know your thoughts .
Really high quality production you are doing. Content, presentation, image and sound 👍🏼 I wish you could review Auralic Aries G2.2. I’m looking for a streamer for my Gryphon Diablo 300, and in the future maybe the new Diablo. Today I’m streaming from a Mac Mini with Audirvāna and an old version MacOS, where the Apple software audio converter can be bypassed. I have also changed the power supply to an external linear type. I’m also really interested in how the Diablo DAC is compared to the T+A D200 that has a 1-bit DAC chip which means it play DSD truely without converting to 16-bit.
Thanks Terry for the review. Some TH-camrs feel one should not review a product others have. It is not true. It actually becomes more valuable as it always helps to get another point of view. Much appreciated. Your review helps to place the A6 pretty accurately for us to know where it sits.
Thanks, my approach is not to watch other reviews of a product I am going to review so I am not biased or influenced by anyone else and discover the product for myself and report on it how I see it.
As I built in the SSD and ripped all my CDs in WAV to it, the sound blows my mind away. Important to know is that you better select "XLR/RCA" by setting "Source" sounds better than only selecting "Rca" if you using unbalanced Inputs/outputs. So SSD+Select XLR/RCA!
@@PursuitPerfectSystem this could be the reason, its definitly louder than Rca only. But i don' t unverstand this option, both analog outputs activated in the same time. Maybe its more comfortable when you switching between two amps?
You say its louder when using the XLR/RCA than when using just RCA ? - interesting yeah so maybe the voltage is a little higher, I didn't think to test that
Hi Terry, Great video as usual! What connection did you use to the TT2 and what cable did you use? I am thinking of purchasing it to connect to my Mojo 2, Hugo 2 and eventually a TT2, I presume there is no point in purchasing their Master Edition as I am going to use Chord as my external Dac. Kind regards Anthony.
It can be it just depends on how you use it, as a streaming dac or just a streamer - since this review they have updated the software to include an equaliser and I have squeezed very good sound of one used just as a streamer into a very good DAC - so it just depends
I reviewed them last year and bought them after it, th-cam.com/video/VZ3uMLQMN5A/w-d-xo.html I did a sound demo for them too, back when I was making them. th-cam.com/video/JOpBTlNA-8w/w-d-xo.html
The streaming crowd are going to be going through buyers remorse every few weeks when the latests and greatest new streamer comes out. They're going to be on a constant upgrade path that never ends and leads them not very far from where they started, but will cost them a shit load and give them a constant headache. You can leave me out of that shitfight, ill play my records and CDs and be content.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Everyone is always judging others behaviour, it's human nature to. Best not tell someone else not to judge others behaviour. I'll judge whoever I want whenever I want, just like you and everyone else does and should. 😊
I'm going to ask a REALLY stupid question, as I'm a newb to hifi. I've just bought one of these, and have Kef LS50 metas and the Marantz PM 7000N amp. Now here's the silly question! How do I actually physically connect the DMP A6 to my amp? I've bought a coax cable, and an optical cable, but I don't want to hook it up wrong and end up blowing up my amp, or the streamer due to lack of knowledge! LOL! There, I told you all it was going to be a stupid question, but it is a serious request for help. I've looked at the manual for the A6 but I guess I must be thick as I'm not really any the wiser, except for having bought the aforementioned cables as I think I will need one of them. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated.
Hi. Nice review. How about updating now that we have an integrated parametric EQ on the Eversolo? One more thing, has anyone come across freezing of the Eversolo to the point you have to switch it off and then back on? It has happened to me. I would appreciate any insight about this. Thanks.
Dear sir.... enjoy this content, thanks.... Question.... if you tryed it or know...what is the quality of the Spdif output? I use a Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 Amp with no need of a separate DAC, just interested in the stream part of the Eversolo. No USB on the TDAI, but i don't think there is a huge difference as long the quality of the digital output is on par.
I'm definitely not one for digital video displays. I'm a true minimalist, turning the light off the front of my node 2i off as I don't need another lamp staring at me. I can see on my I pad or I phone what I am listening to without having to get up and go look at a screen the same thing on my tablet. I haven't got a great DAC and I'm sure that the one built into that is not going to be much better than the sabre DAC in my Cambridge CXA 81. If they would put HDMI out to tv screen so I could actually see it from across the room would be great as I could turn off when I've done what is needed.
I switched out my cxn v2 for an a6 a couple of months ago. In a nutshell, I enjoy using the a6 a whole lot more but miss cxn's soundstage which sounded (slightly) superior in my system
I opted for the Eversolo DMP A6 Master Edition after several months of looking at the DMP A6 & Fiio R7. I added a 2TB Samsung SSD & a Pioneer disc drive and I'm beyond happy with it. EDIT: My only real complaint is in regards to ripping CDs w/ the Eversolo. It's "finnicky". Sometimes it simply will not load a disc's information...even if that disc is brand new/pristine condition. I can try to rip 10 CDs & there will always be 1 or 2 that simply will not load up.
nah, there is much better streamers out there that are plain jane's to look at. Who needs a screen and keep your music local, much better sounding. There will be hundreds of these S/H on the market next year.
One can also up the sound quality of the wiim by using a better power supply. Some from ifi, allo or audiophonics aren't too expensive, and it will still be a lot cheaper than the eversolo. Even using the wiim as a digital transport alone and adding a better dac i think it can better the sound quality of the eversolo and still be cheaper.
Thanks, that was very informative ..If I could push you slightly and given the popularity of Eversolo reviews, would you consider doing a Vs comparison of the A6 and its Special Edition bigger brother ?. If possible with an added twist of using some £400-£600 pure DACs with the standard A6 so we can get an idea of if there is a better/or not way of spending around £1200 than the Special edition? It's a dilemma I am currently going through and I'm sure many will be as time moves forward. There could also be a challenge of adding a DAc to the Special Edition and testing it with the A8 ? Cheers for a great review btw
It’s better to install the SSD first so it can be correctly formatted then either map a share to the unit from your computer then copy the files across your network or attach a usb drive to the unit and use the unit interface to copy from your usb drive to the SSD
The A6 is visible in your network. So you can copy the files to the SSD (in the A6) over your home network. Also you can connect the A6 directly via a USB cable to your PC/Mac to copy files.
Thanks for the kind comments however bear I mind I have speakers come through here up to 25k the mission hold their own in a lot of ways most people won’t have heard them sound anything like how they can as they don’t have the room or the gear, they are very good speakers.
Bottom line only unit that has touch screen. American brands need to wake up and do the same. Some of us don't want to use phone to control unit. Sound quality is very good and 99% of so called audiofile's can't hear the difference between Eversolo and much more expensive crap.😂
Hi there, I would like to ask you for some advice. I bought Airpulse a200 speakers and now music is transmitted straight from the phone BT. I would like to improve sound as much as possible. Should I buy separate dac+streamer or this eversolo dmp6 would be right choice ? You mentioned A6 being too forward with details keeping you up, for me those airpulse speakers already have a little too much details in soprans no width mid section. I wonder how much its a bad source/phone fault or its their nature and no help can be expected
Which dac are you referring to? The q2m version of ESS sabre dacs are designed for mobile use. It’s not the 9038 pro which is 8 channels and used in higher end dacs. So they are also used in cheaper products too so you can’t judge anything from that alone
Awesome video, thank you. Interestingly, unless I missed it, you didn't mention your 'criticism' of the A6 has been answered in Eversolos higher end model, the A8, albeit at a significantly higher price. It has the built in parametric EQ to tailor the sound.
Your review is very good and polite. I have a burned in unit (master edition ) here since today and finde it fatiguing as well listening over analog outputs even after 30 minutes! But using SPDIF out to external dac ( in my case with Audio GD R1 in OS mode )makes it realy magnifizend in the all over musical performance. That makes me questioning: do the quartz clocks of the Master Edition (as internal signal routing is not clear to me) have influence on the digital signal output? And therefore if using external DAC, does the standart edition do it likewise ?
My understanding is upgraded clocks of ME only used if using onboard DAC and outputting in analogue. Outputting digital the femto clocks are bypassed. This is why I bought the standard edition, for pure bang for the buck. Because I have an external DAC and will likely upgrade that down the path and use the eversolo as a digital transport with a screen, which I am fine with for the price point.
Advice needed please, I want to purchase the A6 but. Need to use it off line with zero network connection… I just want to Bluetooth my Spotify app from my mobile phone… I don’t use any broadband network provider,,, any advice welcome

I am new to streaming so please excuse my question. With the Eversolo A6 can you stream without using the DAC but if you use the DAC the streaming sounds better?
If you stream without using the built in dac then you need to use an external dac then the best sound will come from whichever dac you like the most external or built in. No definitive answer for that one

I have the Wiim Pro and use it as a streamer into my Gustard R26. Loving the combo. I tried the DMP A6 into my R26 and could not hear a difference….at least to my ears. Having the EQ in the Wiim software is a huge plus for me. Needless to say, the DMP A6 went back
@@DavidLinde-i9nhave you tried the new Wiim pro plus with gustard r26
For me, this could replace my WIIM / separate DAC / preamp… IF it had analog in for phono.
Beautiful device, but I’m stuck with separates for now.
Who is to blame about the hype of the eversolo A6? the reviews of course! they do anything to get audience. In the end the eversolo is a good produtc but is not a gianr killer produt. shame reviwers!!!
You cant hate the players, its the game everyone has to play
Superb cinematography Tel. It's lovely to see the product so well presented.
Thank you for noticing the effort that goes in 😬
Good review.
Buggy software and bright sound
All the best
Bogdan
Can the hifi rose rs250 do what the eversolo a6 can do like stream Apple Music natively and can a6 stream Qobuz natively
if you use Roon, you get parametric eq for both.
Good point, well made
Keep in mind that the EQ in Roon delays the music for about 1/2 second when you make any adjustments. Not ideal. No delay with the Wiim app. I really wish others would have a built in EQ in their software.
Great review… I have one coming, also looking forward to the eq upgrade. I assume it will be via software! Be safe … Cheers..
Good afternoon everyone. i’m wondering if any of you would be kind enough to answer this question for me. I’m currently streaming my music from TIDAL on my iPhone to my AV Arcam AVR 11.. I really fancy the Eversolo A 6,but I fear that it would be redundant to purchase it
Would I gain any audio benefits or basically just pay a lot of money for a nice touchscreen? The DAC in my Arcam sounds really good to me.
Thank you very much .
You can get better sound from the arcams by feeding it with a better digital source, however I wouldn't recommend you buy this. You better off getting the arcam setup really well with your speakers, subwoofer and dirac maybe and using tidal connnect, you can get some really good results like that, especially with multi channel stereo.
DMP A6 Master Edition sounds much better than the Standard DMP A6.
I am very happy with my unit but I have a few niggles - if you soft switch it off you cannot switch it on from the app (and the comfort of your chair) as the app cannot connect to the unit plus I have a lot of music on the SSD but, as is normally the case with steamer apps, there is no simple implementation of shuffle all tracks - yes you can set it to shuffle and to play all tracks but it always starts with the same song I.e. which ever is first in your track list - surely it isn’t too difficult to implement a true shuffle
The sound quality for me is excellent and I also like the fact I can use Apple Music app for the odd time I actually stream anything.
I would just leave it on all the time so it’s warmed up and ready to go, unless I wasn’t going to use it while away
Treble is not elevated as in louder it’s just present so sits in front of the rest at times as part of a slightly forward or exuberant sound
A couple of questions hopefully you guys can help. First off using just a transport to a dac any big difference between the wiim pro + and the es a6? Has anyone tried tidal multichannel does that work with the hdmi out on the es a6 ?
eversolo couldn't even get the Airplay 2 license (even thought they originally said it would be included) so good luck for Dirac Live ;)
and something nobody mentions is the poor integration of Airplay in an Airplay 2 configuration (lots of dropouts and sound delay between Airplay 2 speakers and the eversolo) and their bad customer service
Dirac Live is very optimistic but someone needs to ask for this feature and I know better than anyone it would be more useful than 10 streaming services and other features you dont need.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem can the Eversolo suport dirac live on it ? That would be amazing 💪🏻
Considering the Bluesound Node X is $749 and comparable streamers with displays are $1,500-2K… $850 for this is a nice sweet spot. The A8 at $2,500 is a different story.
Yes the screen is a big selling point of course at the price but you don't listen to it, do remember that.
Very nice purchase and I am very happy for you
love the review , you metioned that you used the steaming section of the a6 with the tt2 but did not do the same with the wiim pro
i think people would also like to know what the streaming sections of both a6 and wiim compare like .
i compared the two streamers and i do not like the steaming section of the a6 , i think that the wiim pro streaming section is better than the
a6 . has anyone else compared the two please let me know your thoughts .
How do I set up a parametric equalizer? Tell me who knows , please .
Really high quality production you are doing. Content, presentation, image and sound 👍🏼
I wish you could review Auralic Aries G2.2.
I’m also really interested in how the Diablo DAC is compared to the T+A D200 that has a 1-bit DAC chip which means it play DSD truely without converting to 16-bit.
can relate to "fatigue" with krell + LRS
Probably the best review out there ! Better than what Darko did
Absolutely……
But then, no surprise to me at all….
@@PursuitPerfectSystembest answer ever. Cool unit no doubt but I’m in love with my WiiM pro plus and Qobuz.
according to my ears
Amazing presentation.Amazing work.
Terry, this is by far the best review of the A6 on YT! Thanks for providing some tips for the settings - I am trying right now on my unit.
Thanks very much, appreciate it
As I built in the SSD and ripped all my CDs in WAV to it, the sound blows my mind away. Important to know is that you better select "XLR/RCA" by setting "Source" sounds better than only selecting "Rca" if you using unbalanced Inputs/outputs. So SSD+Select XLR/RCA!
Higher output voltage?
@@PursuitPerfectSystem this could be the reason, its definitly louder than Rca only. But i don' t unverstand this option, both analog outputs activated in the same time. Maybe its more comfortable when you switching between two amps?
You say its louder when using the XLR/RCA than when using just RCA ? - interesting yeah so maybe the voltage is a little higher, I didn't think to test that
Nice review. If you do get chance to compare them via the Chord please do.
Hi Terry,
Great video as usual!
Pretty sure I used an optical cable, I didn’t do any comparisons of this but optical was good
Can you please take a look at Leak 320 Integrated stereo? Heard the dac is really good
I wish if the A6 had at least an RCA in like the Wiim.
Thanks Terry,, 👍🌟👍
Well thanks Terry, it's a beautiful system I agree.
Supposedly USB audio out is the best connection if you have your own DAC.
WiiM doesn't have usb out, Eversolo does .
Yes I have been using the usb out to a dac for about 6 weeks it’s ok sounding but its better with some eq imo
I think we can agree the most talked about product has been the wiim streamers .
Yep in the video too
@@PursuitPerfectSystem I seen that . Good video
Isn't this a overhyped streamer with a too bright and harsh sound? Think awfull with rock and metal.
It can be it just depends on how you use it, as a streaming dac or just a streamer - since this review they have updated the software to include an equaliser and I have squeezed very good sound of one used just as a streamer into a very good DAC - so it just depends
Im fascinated by your selection of the Mission 770's. Will there be a follow-up review?

Its just horses for courses, I have had same streaming setup for around 5 years so its not always like that, best not judge others behaviour
@@PursuitPerfectSystem
Everyone is always judging others behaviour, it's human nature to.
Best not tell someone else not to judge others behaviour.
I'll judge whoever I want whenever I want, just like you and everyone else does and should. 😊
Hahaha point well made
If you're going to build a system around an EverSolo, best go for the DMP-A6 Master Edition or the DMP-A8.
That's what I did, sir.
Not if using an external DAC. Marketing got to you my friend!
I think the best option is to use WiiM Pro only as a streamer and combine it with a DAC of your choice
Would the wiim pro plus have a sound different to the original wiim pro if using as a transport
No if you only gonna use it as steamer than WiiM pro is no different
Great honest review, thanks!!
First time I hear from that amp.
Overrated or underrated? Well, a few years ago, this kind of product would have been priced $3K+ from just about every other supplier.
Hi. Nice review. How about updating now that we have an integrated parametric EQ on the Eversolo? One more thing, has anyone come across freezing of the Eversolo to the point you have to switch it off and then back on? It has happened to me. I would appreciate any insight about this. Thanks.
Contender for the best value streamer at the moment, must be the Pioneer N70AE. Going for £699 at Richer, Much preferred over my old CA 851N.
Would you say the Eversolo would be too bright for Focal Chora 806?
Thanks
Which would you choose? The Eversolo A8 or PS Audio DirectStream with bridge II?
Your reviews are excellent Terry. Though I blame you 100% for the pair of Mission 770's now sat in my front room 😂😂
Hahaha, thank me you mean 😎
@@PursuitPerfectSystem they are effortlessly amazing!!! Thank You !!!
Agreed :)
I switched out my cxn v2 for an a6 a couple of months ago. In a nutshell, I enjoy using the a6 a whole lot more but miss cxn's soundstage which sounded (slightly) superior in my system
Nicely Done.
When you talk about tracks with good width and depth can you give suggestions tracks
thanks
I opted for the Eversolo DMP A6 Master Edition after several months of looking at the DMP A6 & Fiio R7. I added a 2TB Samsung SSD & a Pioneer disc drive and I'm beyond happy with it.
EDIT: My only real complaint is in regards to ripping CDs w/ the Eversolo. It's "finnicky". Sometimes it simply will not load a disc's information...even if that disc is brand new/pristine condition. I can try to rip 10 CDs & there will always be 1 or 2 that simply will not load up.
How is this unit at indexing of local files from your own collections, pulling in album detail and cover art?
nah, there is much better streamers out there that are plain jane's to look at. Who needs a screen and keep your music local, much better sounding. There will be hundreds of these S/H on the market next year.
cool screen
Does the Eversolo A6 display out to tv? Large meters and lyrics on the tv would be nice.

Well done review.
I think that the A8 will be fun to compare to more costly products. Will it be high-end?
One can also up the sound quality of the wiim by using a better power supply. Some from ifi, allo or audiophonics aren't too expensive, and it will still be a lot cheaper than the eversolo. Even using the wiim as a digital transport alone and adding a better dac i think it can better the sound quality of the eversolo and still be cheaper.
I'd like to know how well this performs as a package with their power amp please?
Sorry I am not really the right person to do all this, I don't have any of the gear to do it and its not really my area of focus right now
My auntie would say “do you kiss your mother with that mouth” 😂
Not meaning to be dumb, but how do you get your music files on to the SSD drive in order to install it into the A6?
It’s better to install the SSD first so it can be correctly formatted then either map a share to the unit from your computer then copy the files across your network or attach a usb drive to the unit and use the unit interface to copy from your usb drive to the SSD
The A6 is visible in your network. So you can copy the files to the SSD (in the A6) over your home network. Also you can connect the A6 directly via a USB cable to your PC/Mac to copy files.
Great question, i would say check the manual as there is likely a few different ways to do it
I use an external USB disc drive to rip CDs onto the Eversolo.
Nicest review I've seen on the A6. Finally someone that takes us into the box. Mission Speakers on the other hand is garbage with $20 drivers.
Point noted. What would you recommend?
Hi there,
I would like to ask you for some advice.
Get the Wiim Pro and use the coax out. The dac in the Airpulse is very good. I have the A300 pro's with Wiim Pro as a streamer.
Clear clarity winner over rest a6 videos
I am amazed at the value of my A6 Master Series. The DAC chips are found in stand alone and streamers costing 2-5 times more. Case closed.
Which dac are you referring to? The q2m version of ESS sabre dacs are designed for mobile use. It’s not the 9038 pro which is 8 channels and used in higher end dacs.
So they are also used in cheaper products too so you can’t judge anything from that alone
👍
Awesome video, thank you. Interestingly, unless I missed it, you didn't mention your 'criticism' of the A6 has been answered in Eversolos higher end model, the A8, albeit at a significantly higher price. It has the built in parametric EQ to tailor the sound.
I don’t have one so don’t know that to be true so I wouldn’t mention it
Mission are back
Been back for a while :)
in depth review. much appreciated
The master edition addresses many of the concerns that you have about the dmp a6 , but it's also 400 more
Thank you. Jay and Nemo proganda also express this concern.
Advice needed please,
I want to purchase the A6 but. Need to use it off line with zero network connection… I just want to Bluetooth my Spotify app from my mobile phone… I don’t use any broadband network provider,,, any advice welcome
It depend if you need a pre amp or not hit most dacs offer Bluetooth support no point buying a music streamer to not use it for that
@@PursuitPerfectSystem hi, yes I’ve got a musical fidelity amp and some kef ls 500 speakers and a project debut turntable and a pre amp to use the turntable. .. is that what you mean or would I need something else… thanks so much for swift reply
