I’m in California and saw them live here back in the day and always loved nearly everything they put out. I tried turning on a bunch of my pals here too.
ON THE ALBUM, BETTIE SERVEERT CONTINUE TO PLAY PASSIONATE MUSIC THAT ROCKS OUT. AIMING AS HIGH AS THEY DO, THEY OCCASIONALLY MISS. BUT THE BAND'S SUCCESSES ARE PARTICULARLY REWARDING, AS THE DISC'S CONVINCINGLY DEMONSTRATES.
wHEN I USED TO WAS WINDOWS FOR A LIVING HERE IN THE NEW JERSEY (TEN YEARS AGO).i USED TO PUT THIS SONG ON WHEN MY BOSS USED TO CALL AND CANCEL THE DAY ON ACOUNT OF RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!i LOVE BETTIE SOOOO MUCH!
+dialyt130 It certainly does. Feels claustrophobic and pretentious, doesn't have the open-road naturalism the song suggests. Drinking in a bar is not only boring but has nothing to do with the lyrics. Also, that extreme close-up was so unflattering to Carol van Dijk. A camping motif would have been neat.
There is no greater voice in the history of music. The guitar and drum guys also excellent at guitaring and drumming.
The bass player was also good at bassing!
i am physically disabled by a car accident 18 years ago since then, music is my support, thanks :-))
I remember seeing this one on MTV's 120 Minutes in 1995. Incredibly catchy song.
I was lucky enough to be exposed to this song on college radio in the mid 90s. Great tune.
Yup! Heard them on college radio myself. Lamprey was a great hidden 90s diamond in the rough
I loved this band so much back in the day. Saw them live and was one of the best shows I’ve ever experienced.
If there was any justice in the world this song would have made Bettie huge stars.
First song I heard by them. Made me bought the record.
Love it love it love it, still have Lampery on yellow vinyl.... glad to finally see them in texas a few years back.
this song is totally 90's. I'm surprised they were never big in the states.

Beautiful song, gorgeous melody, and a lovely, lyrical video accompaniment, really well made and edited. One of the best!
RIP, Annie - this song always makes me think of those college days.

My friend as bike courier introduced me to this.

Love, love, love this song. The video seems oddly incongruous though.
