I don’t know why old games create such an amazing mood and atmosphere, but I can say for sure that no remaster can cope with this. There was something special about the RE4 original, I doubt they will be able to repeat it

He actually does both Spinning Back Kick and Roundhouse in original RE4, I think he only does the Spin Kick when you get the leg stun instead of the head stun which gives the roundhouse.

In addition, the movements with the arms and the rest of the body, in the original version, were better worked, implying that Leon really knew something about martial arts. Please Capcom fix this as even CJ's spin kick in GTA SA looks more realistic and badass.
It's actually more believable, He's now using spinning back kick which has more power behind it rather than round house that he used in the original. you cant send anyone flying with it. though his spinning back kick is not like a teep but he follows through like a sweep.

They had a few gems that were very horrific, but in the fourth installation, although it still had some horror themes, it strayed away from horror, to focus more on other aspects. And this caused the franchise to lose some of its long time fans, and lovers of the original works. And by the time of the fifth installation, it had entirely strayed away from horror altogether, losing a lot of fans. But after a few years, the series revived itself, and returned back to its horror roots, once again adopting more horrific and scary tropes, and winning fans back, after what had seemed like something that was hopeless. And now, both the Chucky and Resident Evil series are once again thriving today, with tons of fans, as if they had never left. People today will never know the struggle and hardships these two series had to face before getting back on their feet, and remembering what they do best.

Сейчас всё выглядит как какой-то Final Fantasy реально, ну или для тех кто не понял - как кинематографическое аниме. Разве что на Аде этот *эффект* не работает по понятным причинам. Старый дизайн Льюиса поинтересней конечно, но нынешнему можно хотя бы отдать должное за реализм и более живой образ(образ бомжа скаммера вполне органичен как по мне для деревень Испании). На фоне ремейка очередной раз понимаешь как же хороша для 2005 года старая игра, и как над ней попотели в своё время. В общем спасибо ремейку за современный графон и неплохую адаптацию оригинала, но о какой-то культовости очередного ремейка говорить нельзя. И да, старая атмосфера игры с её саундтреком и коричневыми тонами как по мне тоже лучше.
I remember when this game came out I'm sure it was for GameCube first and I was so heated that it wasn't on Playstation and I kept a close eye hoping over the years it'll hit a Playstation console someday and it did...I was blown away especially coming from the first era of Resident Evil.
unfortunately the Leon RE4 remake will not be able to surpass and will not even come close to the original Leon RE4, both in appearance and in voice, the only way to do it would have been to have another model of face without the chin like that, and bring back the original voice of Leon Paul Mercier, or otherwise to get really close, bring back Matthew Mercer

Я в нее играл практически, когда она вышла и то что они сделали сейчас….ну такое себе, атмосфера игры потеряна, зачем трогать то, что и так идеально. Луиса, отвратительно нарисовали, черты потеряны, харизма тоже, даже в оригинале он показывает больше живых и характерных для этого персонажа эмоций, чем в ремейке. Лео…даже комментировать не хочу. Что 2-3 части черты лица убиты. Эшли…очередная хорошо нарисованная кукла. Но вот кого точно испоганили - это Ада. Вообще не она, как будто из фильма (обитель зла) взяли актрису и вставили. Где та с*чка, которую я обожал в 4 части, где тот острый подбородок, а не вот этот хомяк 🐹. Она если зацепится своим пистолетом об какую-то крышу, то вместе с ней и рухнет. Персонажи вообще не запоминаются визуально(в ремейке), это очередной ремейк, который через месяц забудется, как и все части ремейков, а то что было вечно и считалось классикой, всегда будет вызывать только теплые воспоминания.

I like the original one better. Growing up with this game was the best part of my childhood. ❤❤ How many reboots do we need? completely disagree. the original played like ass, wasnt scary in the slightest, and got repeditive after the island was introduced. You said this a month ago, so you clearly didnt know what you were talking about, no demo and all. The chainsaw man still kills you in one hit and the enemies are insanely fast now, you honestly need the parry mechanic to even survive half of the time. Try not to assume so much crap off of a minute long trailer next time.
i prefer the original leon and ashley honestly. they both seem like they are having a bad hair day in this one, and new leon looks like an inbred version of the original i'm glad that there are less shades of the monotonous brown in this one, and i don't want to see too much gameplay as i wanna be surprised but i really hope they don't make the one liners less cheesy, or really change them at all for that matter
I am looking forward to this so much. Leon still looks like a complete chad he always was, i love little dialogue between him and Ashley, enemies look good af, MERCHANT is back and he never looked better 😭💗 It feels like capcom took extreme care while making this and I am glad, this was (arguably) their Magnum Opus in some ways..RE4 is a big part of childhood for a lot of people (including me)
I really hope they don’t give up on the melancholy feeling of Leon’s loneliness throughout the game for the campiness. Most recent trailer made me think this may be more action oriented than I had expected

Original looks much better than remake. Colors, characters faces, and the most important... inventory. The inventory in the remake is more faded and boring. In the original game, inventory was a mini game, where you lose 10%-15% in all game time.
Of course graphics looked fine back then cause it wasn't a big deal only thing we cared about is playing the game but as the years went on games started evolving drastically due to developers getting their hands on new technology they need to make a masterpiece game... nothing wrong old graphics at all but it just shows the evolution from what they had before vs what they can create now... the point of a remake isn't to be in competition with the older game people just feel that way for some reason which isn't the case

The only thing I don't like about remake so far is how Salazar looks. Doubt they'll change that since it's close to the release date, but even still. All the others look decent.
My only problem with the Remake's trailer is the way Leon jumps out the window of the first Hunter's house. I don't know why but it looks so sped up, like he teleports to the ground
The only thing that doesn't completely convince me is the color tone they used for the day, I would have loved if they left that yellowish/dark brown tone that the original had, as a darker color.

Yeah it was originally for gamecube, the ps2 version is good but they compromised graphics to fit the whole game in the dvd.

I'm worried that the new voice actor for Leon is going to sound nothing like the original RE4 voice, he was awesome in re2 remake because he fit the role of rookie cop well but he's not a rookie cop anymore. I hope he can pull it off

The remake looks great imo. idk why everyone is complaining it's not meant to be a replacement the original isn't going anywhere.

Я представляю сколько будет критики и придирок к каждой сцене в этом ремейке и сравнений с оригиналом. Я в нее играл практически, когда она вышла и то что они сделали сейчас….ну такое себе, атмосфера игры потеряна, зачем трогать то, что и так идеально.
Луиса, отвратительно нарисовали, черты потеряны, харизма тоже, даже в оригинале он показывает больше живых и характерных для этого персонажа эмоций, чем в ремейке.
Лео…даже комментировать не хочу. Что 2-3 части черты лица убиты.
Эшли…очередная хорошо нарисованная кукла.
Но вот кого точно испоганили - это Ада. Вообще не она, как будто из фильма (обитель зла) взяли актрису и вставили. Где та с*чка, которую я обожал в 4 части, где тот острый подбородок, а не вот этот хомяк 🐹. Она если зацепится своим пистолетом об какую-то крышу, то вместе с ней и рухнет.
Персонажи вообще не запоминаются визуально(в ремейке), это очередной ремейк, который через месяц забудется, как и все части ремейков, а то что было вечно и считалось классикой, всегда будет вызывать только теплые воспоминания.

I like the original one better. Growing up with this game was the best part of my childhood. ❤❤ How many reboots do we need? Plus making the chainsaw man able to kill you instantly gives you more fear. If they wanted to make it right they would’ve just did visual upgrades and reused the voices. 😅 just my opinion.
completely disagree. the original played like ass, wasnt scary in the slightest, and got repeditive after the island was introduced. You said this a month ago, so you clearly didnt know what you were talking about, no demo and all. The chainsaw man still kills you in one hit and the enemies are insanely fast now, you honestly need the parry mechanic to even survive half of the time. Try not to assume so much crap off of a minute long trailer next time.

The original Leon looks a lot more poised and effortlessly cool. The one in the remake doesn't have that in his motions. Umm.
i prefer the original leon and ashley honestly. they both seem like they are having a bad hair day in this one, and new leon looks like an inbred version of the original
i'm glad that there are less shades of the monotonous brown in this one, and i don't want to see too much gameplay as i wanna be surprised but i really hope they don't make the one liners less cheesy, or really change them at all for that matter
I am looking forward to this so much. Leon still looks like a complete chad he always was, i love little dialogue between him and Ashley, enemies look good af, MERCHANT is back and he never looked better 😭💗
It feels like capcom took extreme care while making this and I am glad, this was (arguably) their Magnum Opus in some ways..RE4 is a big part of childhood for a lot of people (including me)
I really hope they don’t give up on the melancholy feeling of Leon’s loneliness throughout the game for the campiness. Most recent trailer made me think this may be more action oriented than I had expected
I got to beat the original so I can say I played it and it’s original glory but I gotta say I can’t wait for the remake it just means I get to play it again but with better controls and graphics and maybe some changes to the story like the island part not to be super action I want a little bit more scares too maybe

Original looks much better than remake. Colors, characters faces, and the most important... inventory. The inventory in the remake is more faded and boring. In the original game, inventory was a mini game, where you lose 10%-15% in all game time.

Fun fact: The original graphics were unprecedented and just incredible that it was running on a GameCube
Of course graphics looked fine back then cause it wasn't a big deal only thing we cared about is playing the game but as the years went on games started evolving drastically due to developers getting their hands on new technology they need to make a masterpiece game... nothing wrong old graphics at all but it just shows the evolution from what they had before vs what they can create now... the point of a remake isn't to be in competition with the older game people just feel that way for some reason which isn't the case

Re2 remake was good but it didn’t give me that nostalgic feeling. I hope this remake achieves that.

well the orignal re2 was a fixed camera experience with dogass controls for the sake of added tension so of course you didnt feel the same.
@@whenallelsfails21 I mean the storyline. They didn’t use some parts from the original game. They did a great job with ambience and modeling, but that’s just about it. And there are mods out there for static camera gameplay
@@starmember132 what? dude the orignal is one of the most gameplay focused of the re games. That storyline is hardly even there in comparison to the remake. I cant even begin to tell you how many scenes were actually added in for the sake of building up character with leon and claire. Also that voice acting reeaaally ruined any sense of immersion those games were trying to give off. "thats about it" you know in your heart that og re2 plays like ass, deny it all you want, but its true. Why would i use mods when the remake is legitimately more enjoyable to play and its already available?

The only thing I don't like about remake so far is how Salazar looks. Doubt they'll change that since it's close to the release date, but even still. All the others look decent.

The only thing that doesn't completely convince me is the color tone they used for the day, I would have loved if they left that yellowish/dark brown tone that the original had, as a darker color.
