Hey Everyone! One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that to have access to mod features and abilities your bot account must also be a moderator in your channel. Ensure you make your new account a mod to prevent any issues.

First let me say I love your Tutorials. I am very new to streamerbot and have a question if you may know. Is there a way to have streamerbot automatically shout out viewers who I have shouted out before when they say hi in my chat? If so could you possibly do a tutorial on that?
Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you are finding the tutorials helpful! To answer your question briefly, yes it is possible. You would need to set an action that adds a persistent variable to their name the first time they chat in your stream. and set it to default 0. When you run a shout out command it should change that variable to 1. Then, on a "first words" action check the variable, it greater than 1, run shout out, else do nothing. I will add this to my tutorials list for you as well.

Actually, yes, I do. I am making a full tutorial on the chat feature. In the mean time, though, yes, the chat uses different variables. So %user% becomes %username% for example. You can go to your Actions Queue and inspect variables (after run) to see a list of the variables pulled by the chat for various actions. Or wait for my tutorial LOL
Unfortunately, no. This is a limitation of Twitch and from the outside we can't do anything about it. The channel has to be subscribed to display the emotes. I get around this in 3 ways. 1) In chat messages I try to use follower emotes instead of subscriber emotes. 2) for my raid messages, I just use the broadcaster account for my "if subbed use this message" emotes and 3) I utilize the crap out of FrankerFacez, BetterTTV and 7TV emote services.

This is probably my fault, as I forgot to mention it in the video. But for your bot account to have the permissions needed for everything to work properly, it needs to be a mod in your broadcaster channel. Make sure it is a mod and try again.
i created a new twitch account for the bot, but when i click the login on the "bot account" , streamer bot wants to authorize my main twitch account again. I'm currently logged into the main twitch as Im trying to authorize the bot account . How do I get streamer bot to recognize that im trying to authorize my "bot"
Authorization is based on the current Twitch log in on that browser. You have a couple of options. 1. Open Twitch in a new browser and log in with the bot account. Then, you can copy the authorization URL from the other browser into the new one and authorize there. or 2. Click on the "not your account" link at the very top of the authorization page and it will ask you to log into another account. Log in as the bot and then authorize.
