      so here is the breakdown of this man's salary per year.
      base salary = 137,794.80 * 12 = 1,653,537.6 ($134,543.34)
      housing allowance = 6000 * 12 = 72000 ($5,858.42)
      home enhancement = 2000 * 12 = 24000 (1,952.81)
      travel per diem (Note this is on the assumption that he travels once a month) $1500 * 12 = $18000
      clothing allowance = 10000 * 12 = 120000 ($9,764.04)
      mandatory medical exam = 2000 * 12 = 24000 ($1,952.81)
      inconvenience allowance = 500 * 28(days of a month) * 12 = 168000 ($13,669.65)
      responsibility allowance = 1500 * 12 = 18000 ($1,464.61)
      monthly entertainment allowance = 1500 * 12 = 18000 ($1,464.61)
      DSTV service = 700 * 12 = 8400 ($683.48)
      vehicle maintenance allowance = 1000 * 12 =12000 ($976.40)
      total of all allowances + pay for a year amount to in dollars = $188,865.56
      all the figures in cedis are converted to dollars at the current dollar to cedi rate which is 12.29 cedis to 1 dollar

      On a more serious note, all the monetary items you've mentioned form part of the Ghc 137,794.80 aside just a few like the per dem and the inconvenience allowance which is per day whenever the need arises.
      All the other benefits like the car benefits are classified as benefits in kind and are also qualified and considered when taxing. Please ask for more clarity 🙏🏾

Imagine a Teach will teach for more than 30yrs and his go home or retirement will not add up to what some Politicians will receive by end of their service for just one term.

    Assuming u have been contributing to Snnit successfully for 25 years, you can go on voluntary retirement but they pay you get is based on your best 3 years of contributions. So he could have been contributing 100 cedis before but his new salary would increase his monthly contributions exponentially. All he has to do is to get 36 months 😅😅 and he would be smiling till death

    • @amosaffedzie739
      @amosaffedzie739 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why do you want to compare salaries in Ghana to the US. You need to speak in context to Ghana. This man takes about 253x the minimum wages in Ghana. The least paid government worker pay is not up to 1000ghs. No government official in the US is paid 253x the minimum wage in the US. Look at the economy of ghana, what is it State. It is unfair that a few government officials are paid far disproportionate salaries whiles the country reels in debt and continuously has to go beg for debt and loans. Meanwhile these officials are not even producing any better result for the country!!! That is the context people are looking at the issue and they are right.

    • @mistyone8336
      @mistyone8336 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @amosaffedzie739 am not comparing countries, am comparing his career and level of education to a Ghanaian with same or even better qualification working abroad. I rather travel and work abroad and earn better salary without outrage from public. What he's earning is nothing. If people are angry over this little salary, it shows the level of poverty in the country
