In some states in the US they have Poly Club or Pacific Islanders Club at most Middle Schools and High Schools. For example, Washington’s Schools embrace the Island Cultures now in Poly Club and they usually perform Cultural Dances during School Events or School Assembly’s. Our culture is evolving, thanks to Disney and All the Island Celebrities showing our culture to the public.
@@nathanielsasa i dont think that's what he means.. in new Zealand they embraced the native people's culture. On the other hand america completely destroyed the native american people and its culture.

My parents who are Samoan and both in their 60's looooooved watching this clip. They couldn't stop bragging about it & couldn't get over the fact that you all pronounced the words correctly far better then most Samoans. Amazing!!
If I walked outside a church and heard these guys singing...I would never in my life think it was non-Polynesian people singing this...mad respect how New Zealander's embraces its Polynesian culture.
My mother heard me playing this and asked me which church choir this was… the shock on her face when I showed her the video and the actual people singing it. She was overly amazed and what also gave it that extra flare was hearing the “cheeehooo” which shows how this choir really embraced the Samoan culture for a moment. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Jonah Peko : you must not be Samoan, if you are then you're not very proud of your culture or your people. As a Samoan person, I find the ability of others to embrace our culture and to share it is very admirable. Also, this group had to learn the songs, and dances from someone or a group of someones who made certain that it was done correctly to represent the Samoan culture. They did an awesome job! **and if you're not Samoan, then don't talk about what you don't know -- if you are Samoan then find your pride in your culture and your people cause without it you're lost.
I don't think I could ever get sick of this.. I'm not Samoan but have been learning Samoan songs and dance for 7 years and I feel so proud to see and hear this group perform ❤️ stunning performance
4-YEARS LATER - If you're watching yourself in this performance as one of the Westlake 'kids' then....THIS WAS AWESOME!! THANK YOU AND SHOT WESTLAKE!! CHEEEOOOHUUUUU!!
