I’m a huge defender of the shutter. It’s a damn fine yo-yo. And I love the fact that YYF keeps tweaking it and adding design to it to keep it updated. You literally don’t see a yo-yo that stays relevant that long everyday. 10/10, would have multiples of it.
I like how spot on the "down the middle" description is. I swear every time I look in my case and can't decide which yo to take for the day I pull my shutter out. Also they are so mass produced that you can beat it up and replace it if you want. Always a good choice for new risky tricks or first year players that still hit the ground a lot.
I have mostly Magicyoyo stuff. I just bought a Stealth and it's pretty great. Shockingly good. I'm loving the shape. I recently got a gift card and instead of buying more modular synth related stuff, I was thinking of either buying a Carpfin or a non-side effect One drop like the Gauntlet or Dang 2. I already have a Cabal, but doubt it's truly representative of the bulk of their output. I can't wait to start down the side-effects road, but... $$$. The only YYF I own is the Replay and I do not like it. I may have a lemon. It's just bad, Sort of put me off YYF. Thanks for the video. Your work is always great. I was actually thinking of a Shutter or a Horizon, but I wasn't sure. Now I have a more complex equation to solve :) So many yoyos to choose from.

Pleasantries aside, question: I've been gifted a Shutter, and after watching your vid on the Dif-e-yo vs another bearing I've wanted an excuse to get one. How do you think that Shutter/Dif-e-yo bearing combo would work? I swapped the center track from my Marco for a JD Whipple, and that thing is now a beast.
It's a great throw. It's my first expensive throw that I dinged 😪(that was a sad day) but we moved on. Still though that ding made no difference to the throw. Great review again.
TokYo-Yo as much as I like the idea of the wide angle I don't think I'll be getting one for now. But I got a fantastic throw the other day. Throw cafe cappuccino. It's amazing.

TokYo-Yo Cool! What would u have preferred? I plan on getting a silver one but you might change my mind. And one more thing, I dont have a lot of budget for yoyos. So I plan on getting one decent yoyo that can handle any tricks ,beginner to pro. Is the shutter capable of all the tricks?

Throws N' Brews why is it better? I do know it's better for grinds but besides that?

Yes it is. It’s very even and well designed. If you want a silver I can trade you mine.
