Liquid coconut oil - 45ml
Neem oil (heat up first) - 2.5ml
Pour into spray bottle
For dogs: 2-3x/week
For cats: 1x/week
(Keep away from spraying eyes or mouth)
My cat licked it off her coat now she keeps licking because it’s on her tongue now 🥴
I found my cats just like coconut oil my cat started drinking it out of a little bowl I had.
😂😅 can I use just the coconut oil or do I have to mix it with other oil
How do you get oil to spray out of a bottle?
@@samm4637yeah
Years ago my Beagle would have ideopathic seizures 2-4 days after applying Frontline Plus, EVERY time. The vet laughed and said we were just looking for patterns. Well the day we stopped, he never had another seizure. How's that for a pattern? 🤷♀️
I think you need a new vet! laughing at your concerns is just awful! Muscle spasms and seizures have been documented in both cats and dogs after flea treatment. I had made a comment about my cat's issues with seizures so my vet was concerned about topical treatment. However she has a severe flea allergy so we had to do something and my vet said ONLY use Advantage bc it's the most regulated and very consistent. I gave her half the dose in the past, but I would be up all night constantly checking her nervous out of my mind. I did try the coconut oil yesterday and ordered the Neem oil. She absolutely turns into a demon with a bath so that is not an option bc stress induces seizures for her. The coconut oil did seem to soothe her skin and she is not grooming constantly right now. I hope you find a more compassionate vet! Yikes! ❤
My dog barely moves after the flea treatment recommended by the vet. My dog looks so sick for a few days
It is crazy people uses it
That stuff is a neuro toxin. Be careful to wash off ur hands. Scary stuff, and too expensive!!!
@Anne_Onymous Often the way of things.
Thank you so much! I have 2 dogs with flea problems so I did an experiment with your recipe. For my male, I bathed and flea-combed for over an hour to make sure there were practically no fleas on his skin, blow dried and immediately applied the oils on his entire coat. On my female, I did NOT bathe or flea-comb. I just applied and massaged the oils in until her entire coat was covered. The results were dramatic for both! I could not find a single living flea on either dog the next day
I wish I had the same result! I used his most recent mixture with witchhazel and soap and didn't work! I keep finding live fleas on my GSDs. It's so frustrating that I'm tempted to use a monthly flea preventative 😭😭.
@@yamiletc591 So for me, I had to tweak the recipe a little bit. It's practically half liquid coconut oil, half Neem oil and some cedarwood oil. I had to lather my dogs and coat my floor in it everyday for a week or so until the numbers went down tremendously. Now I apply it about once week, soon to be once a month after I see 0 flea activity per week. The problem is that the flea eggs wind up all over your home constantly hatching. The most important part is just staying on top of them with the Neem so that the hatchlings don't live long enough to reproduce.
Wow I am inspired. I am going to try on my cat. 😮😊😮
@@yamiletc591Use his recipe, not yours. He didn't say to use witch hazel and soap. Duh!
@airmanma as a matter of fact, he did. He uploaded a most recent video with a different mix. Hence, the fact I typed, "I used his most recent mixture...".
Put it around the neck, under the chin to the breast and down the spine to the base of the tail.
Maybe not spray it all over them Just apply in these areas.
Put it on to your fingertips and just rub it on.
I'm pretty sure they can't reach those areas to lick.
I got this information from an old farmer who applies it this way.
It’s natural oils. Lol
We found neem oil to be very effective, we use a dilution of it on our pets, plants (for those with leaf tic infestation), and also spray it on the sides of the house to get rid of eggs.
We mix neem oil with a dishwashing soap and water when spraying around the house.
I want to try this. Do you live in Asia perhaps where ticks are prevalent?
@@user-ln1mx2rp2u yes, especially during summer.
What are the measurements for this mixture?
@@BoricuaHaze28 for pets, we mix 5-6 drops of neem oil with 12-15 drops of coconut oil, then just rub it all over while their fur is wet from bath.
As a spray around the house and on plant leaves, we just eyeball it. About 1 part oil to 5 parts soapy water.
Rockwell coconut oil, for anyone like me looking at what he used.
Can't find it anywhere
YOU DESERVES A MEDAL THANK YOU !!
Thank you! I shared this to Facebook. I hate putting those harsh chemicals on my cats. I bet the companies that sell those harsh chemicals know there are safer methods . . .like yours. These companies are greedy and evil.
Thank you

After I don't think so 🤔for 32rw
I think they cause cancer too. I’ve known 3 dogs that their owners used preventative every month and 3 died from an aggressive cancer
My cat had such a strong reaction to the topical flea stuff in the back of her neck .. thought I was going to have to take her to emergency
No more !!!!!
God bless you Doc for giving us awesome ways to avoid nasty chemicals and how to feed our babies properly so they will thrive! This old senior widow loves learning something new everyday.
God bless all the furbabies and those who love them 👑 🙏🏻 💞 ✝️ 🐾 🕯 🕯🕯🕯🕯
Loved your phrase --- it says a lot about your mind set! Live long, dear lady!!!!
We LOVE YOU!!! Thank goodness for doctors like you!!!!🙏🏽✨🙏🏽
This is great thank you . I have been using coconut oil on my cats every time I used flea combs on them. It seems to immediately soothe their skin too. I will add neem oil . ThankYou for the tip
Good to know!! My cats skin is so dry.
Can you tell me if I should bathe my cats after applying oil or leave them just like that?
Thank you Dr. Jones, I've recommeded your channel to all my animal friends and showed them your book, which I keep handy.
We have a Blue Heeler; he can't tolerate spot on treatments. We tried on him once and he went nuts, we washed it off immediately.
Thank you for all your great tips! You are the best!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, that's great to hear:)
You truly are a savior. My old dog would not survive the chemicals they had advised me to use. I just couldn't. Thank you sooooo much!
Thank you Dr! God bless you and your family
Citrus oil diluted with water is a great flea ( and other bugs) killer. Mix 1 oz citrus oil to 7 Oz water for standard spray bottle.
@negringo4470
Any citrus oil is immediate death for a flea. Try a little less water. You want it diluted enough to not burn the skin but strong enough to kill the fleas.
A million thanks for this great advice Dr. Jones!! Lots love and respect Cookie and family ❤️
Thanks you very much doc!! 😊
Good info for cats and dogs
You're the absolute best I hope you get treated like the king you are.
How good is this!!! Btw you're still brilliant!!!
I have four cats and a large dog and I’ve been trying this for some time and so far it doesn’t seem to work that well. I cannot get control of the fleas!
Same. I appreciate his advice but wish he would acknowledge sometimes none of these natural methods work. I live in the south, not Canada. I tried everything natural on my dogs. One year, the fleas got so bad my larger dog developed a major infection from chewing. My small dog was crying from itching. This is after using actually every single natural method under the sun and vacuuming constantly. I could treat my yard but didn’t want to harm all of the other bugs that are either useful or a food source for birds etc. My dogs are on prescription meds now for fleas.
Now my cat? Flea comb does the trick.
My puppy is a real fluffball.
And if I've brushed her 10 x worse.
Then I smear some coconut oil into her coat as a natural gel.
Good to know that it also helps against fleas.
Amen !!! common sense and using what God has provided .
Away from mouth....right...BUT WHAT ABOUT THEIR LICKING !!! WHY DOESN"T ANYBODY EVER MENTION THEIR LICKING !!???
He know cats clean themselves. Most likely that small amount is safe or he wouldn’t have recommended it. Remember, lightly mist/spray only once a week.
Put it around their neck, under their chin to their breast and down the spine to the base of the tail.
I got this information from an old farmer, this is the way he does it for his animals.
They can't lick around their neck or the breast or down their spine.

AWESOME🐶😻ThankYou DrJones ❤️🤗
Thank you! Love your channel it’s really great!!!!!
Oh thank you!!! My cat suffers seizures as she was attacked by a dog as a kitten. We do have her on meds for that bc its necessary, but she has terrible flea allergies on top of it. She's indoors but we live in the woods and they try to get in anyway. My vet expressed concern over the topical flea treatments bc of the seizures but her skin was awful and I didnt know how to help her. I had coconut oil so we did that and it seems to be soothing her reaction. Shes no longer aggressively grooming herself. I ordered the Neem oil and will do that as soon as it gets here. I was reading about Irish moss being safe as a topical for cats with skin issues. Do you have any thoughts on that? Thank you again! ❤
Thank you so much Dr. Jones I will be ordering me some Neem oil today as my little Shih Tzu loves to go out on the deck in the sun and I want to make sure he does not bring any fleas or ticks in. Love and blessings😊
Thanks for the mailed I received ...so sad what happened to her dog, Labrador, I think need to see what kind of meds the vet given to my dog... especially the side effects.
I appreciate your homemade tips....helpful
Thank you
Brilliant !!!
Can I spray this around house too? Or what do you recommend.
Iuckily I have hardwood floors.
This recipe sounds great and I would love to try it. The thing that concerns me he said to keep it away from of course their eyes that’s a given but their mouth and animals lick themselves and my dog licks her feet a lot and so I’m worried about her getting that remedy in her mouth. Any suggestions please would be welcome. I know there’s no lavender in the recipe but I just want to mention that my dog is allergic to lavender and hoping that she’s OK with the Neem oil?
Well thank you doctor for the recipe I’m looking forward and hoping that I can use it on her.
Neem oil is commonly used for pets.
Thanks
For the Neem oil, is cold pressed or expeller pressed? If the latter, where to buy?
I love your videos and the fact you are looking out for all pets naturally and holisticly. What is recommended for a long hair Shih Tzu for flea control? The oils make her hair greasy and look dirty.

Dont have the heart to use Advantage on my cats this year despite buying 3 months supply. I'm going to try this solution instead. I really want it to work.
Thank you 🙏🙏
Does this help for ticks too? I’ve never had a problem with fleas. I would ❤to find something natural for tick please!
He said it helps with ticks too.
Wait you said to keep the spray away from eyes and mouth??? Dogs and Cats will instantly start licking themselves.

what about diatimaetous earth? i heard that works pretty well & they can eat it.
Make sure it's food grade
can be used as spot-on?
How long does the mixture of neem oil and water expire?
Tried it. Didn't work. Cat was miserable. The spot on treatment did work.
Thank you for this video!! Do you have any recommendations on what to do if my cat is experiencing FAD due to flea bites?
It repels them but does it kill them? They’re going to hop off the cat and then feed on me instead? Not sure how great of a solution this is
Great to know! Link to the book?

Wow! I knew something that was that powerful had to have side effects ✨. Thanks so so much ✨❤️✨.
Thank you Dr hi Tula ❤
Any other oil besides coconut oil? My daughter is very allergic and I want her to be able to pet our animals. I actually use Neem oil for myself.
Can use it on my Nursing Cat? Please help 🙏 and thank You so much!
Thank you! And for humans?
Make sure it's fractionated coconut oil.
What is that ? Fractionated ?
@@ronallens6204 its in a liquid form
No matter what it turns to liquid as soon as you touch it. Most importantly it needs to be unrefined.
@@DontUNVMEHe Stated Liquid Coconut Oil.
@@RoeRoe123 that's what liquid coconut oil is. Unless you heat regular coconut oil and that would only lasts a few minutes at most.
Can we use olive oil in combination with coconut oil to keep it liquid? What about adding something like witch hazel to help make the mixture spray easier? Thank you!!
By repellent this means it’s useless now if I’ve seen the flea eggs on cat for a week now… right?
How do you keep your dog from licking off the coconut oil?
My girl loves it!
What is the brand of neem oil
Safe for 4 month old puppy?
please please please..
where do I get these ingredients?
I need help
What if they lick their arm?
What if my dogs lick this mixture. Does it work on ticks, mosquitoes, biting flys, lice, mites?
What brand of neem oil is that?
Can we spray this on bedding and furniture where our pets use to sit?? Would that get rid of any fleas if we have any at home
just im time!! I've been needing a recipe for my babies!! Thank you!!!🙏🩷🩷
Can't find that brand coconut oil what other brand do you suggest
I have coconut cooking oil and coconut essential oil can I use any of them
Does this work for genetic mites? I have 7 month old puppies that were prescribed NexGard until they are 1 yr old and looking for a more natural remedy. They were beginning to both lose hair and have diarrhea often so I had to have them seen but now I am looking for something more natural for them. Thanks!
Is this used as a prevention too?
Thank you for healthy alternatives. My dog somehow came home from his walk with a tick, the vet removed it and then gave us Bravecto. I will not give that to my dog. The side effects can be catastrophic.
A little methylated spirits on a cotton bud dabbed several times on a tick makes it back out. Wait until the head is visible and remove tick. ...don't want to leave head of tick in animal .
Saving you a vet bill.
Is this ok for them to lick? My dogs LOVE coconut oil and they lick themselves whenever I put coconut oil on them
Should it be cold pressed with high concentration neem oil?
Darn I have coconut oil but not the neem oil need to buy some asap! 👍🏼 thanks doc
How about tea tree oil? Instead of neem do they work the same?
You're welcome! ❤️
What about the heart worm protection though that’s also included in Revolution?
Sorry, where do we find info on book?
What about heartworm?
Dr Judy Morgan has info and product for heartworm
You need prescription to do safely because animal MUST be tested to be sure they don't have heartworms before you can safely use anything or the worms can kill the dogs.
They can start dying and causes blockages and death in dog.
@@taunta37Many people give ivermectin once per month to prevent heartworms and kill them. You can get horse paste at the feed store and dose it by weight. I suggest researching it. It's what's in the stuff the vet sells you for a small fortune. It costs around $12 and will last around 6 months to a year for most dogs.
Wait, you can use on cats??? That can lick?
You advise Once a week .but I'm concerned😮
My dogs were not on any flea and tick and I used only natural sprays. My female picked up sarcoptic mites and contracted mange!!! It was quite serious.
Now I’m hesitant to not use products
Does this kill mites?
Dr. Jones💌🐾,
Always appreciate your given information. My boy loves licking oils😬😖. I use coconut 🥥 oil in his food. I will have to take him right out after I spray him.
Does it kill the fleas on them or repel them? Dealing with a bad flea problem between 3 cats and all 3 of them hate taking baths which make this an even harder situation to cleanse them and I'm starting to notice more pop up in the living room and my room. I'm gonna try this, already ordered the neem oil and gonna buy the coconut oil at work. Haven't gotten any sleep at all since last night because of the constant itching. And gotta pull an 8hr today at work 🙃
Where to Buy this neem oil ? I am from India any link to buy this neem oil
what about dogs with renal disease?
and where do I find neem oil?
Can you use neem power?
This may be a stupid question but are we talking about coconut oil for the human skin or for cooking
Does it work on lice? I've had cats, dogs, rabbits, etc, all my life. I've never had a lice problem on any animal until lately, & I'm seeing other people on animal sites having the same problem.
can i use coconut cooking oil?
I want your book
Here is the link for Dr. Jones' e-book:

where have we heard safe and effective before?
Neem oil from the seed? Or, neem oil from leaf extraction?
I finally purchased Neem seed oil and mixed in the ratio given in the video with fractionated coconut oil. Worked like a charm.
