Just got my new Traveler Ultra Light and wanted to put lighter strings on. This video was a masterpiece of clarity...and Corey changed them in six minutes. Well done!
I was totally going to restring my escape 3 by removing all the strings first, doing them 3 at a time looks so painless, also bending the string is a great tip. thank you!!
Superb! Just completed the best-ever restringing of my *vintage* Passport Pro Series. One change; skipped the bend for routing on the underside of this beautiful instrument. Thanks!
I was so frustrated restringing my Speedster Travel Guitar. The first time it was a night before I could figure out some trick, and the second time when the high e snapped, it was another nightmare to replace it. I had to flip back and front holding with both hands. Now I was nearly in the process of ordering the locking tuners found on the new model LTD Travel Guitar EC-1. But when I saw this video, I am going to give it another go with the stock tuners before I consider replacing the tuners with locking ones. Also, what is that special electrial rewinder tool? for my drill machine gun at home, is it possible to buy a bit for the machine head? or it has to be a special tuners electrical rewinder? thanks for the video.
I don’t understand the purpose of putting a bend in the string prior to feeding it through the nut. Everything else makes perfect sense. What am I not getting?
Not if you don't want to risk breakage. Better to make sure that successive coils of string wrap around the post towards the inboard side of the post hole. The post tapers. Aim to have three or more parallel coils of string pressing the free end against the opposite side of the post hole. As in the video.
With a name like Alister Tate Anderson here I was assuming, like an idiot, that you would have had a private tutor who TAUGHT you the King’s English. Tought. Get the fuck outta here with your tought ALISTER.

It's a bit of a chore, but gets easier with practice.
This video was a huge help!
(I'll need to get a drill...)
An 11/16th socket in a battery-operated drill-driver works perfectly, if you don't have or don't want to buy a string-winder
Great video. Thank you!
Do you ever stretch your strings out when installing them?

thanks for the video.
Are those nylon or steel strings?
this was awesome! I changed my strings in 35 minutes (I know it will be much shorter, later) instead of 2 hours, lol.
Perfect! Glad we could make it easier for you!
Imma get locking turners, this was painful to do.

the body looks like a large headstock :3
Im watching this because I'm thinking about getting a traveler guitar and then just reaslized I have no idea how to string it.
Cory: Shouldn't you wrap the string over itself?

That's what she said...
Closeup would have been helpful… video was still beneficial, however. Thanks so much.
I thought it was seriously him saying "pull it toght."
Until he properly pronounced tight at 4:30...
