Sure, green was powerful in Set 1, but they were able to lose to other decks. I lost all will to play FW since pumping too much money into Cell and Broly, before all of this. The client is gonna suck to play as well.
Right?! Like I don't get it. Certain cards are well thought out then there are other cards that seem like a rough draft which never got tested by the team at Bandai.
This set has seriously deflated my excitement for the future of this game. it's so obvious the people testing and designing the game are clueless or bad players. How did they fuck this up so badly?
Maybe that's the answer.. but tbh I think there should be a chance to combo up if a card is going to be neg'd to zero... Scenario.. I neg a 20 k by 10 with Beerus' ability. Then scr -15. Before it's dead to game mechanics. You have the chance to +10k it to live
But realistically... Bandai needs to design all colors to be fairly equal so it's player skill that wins games not meta, game mechanics, or just OP BS.
The problem is that top can play Kefla off his leader effect. Do whatever errata or “rule clarification” you gotta do to make that not the case. My favorite idea is to make it so that Promoku and Kelfa (both are 25ks when awakened) count as 25ks in hand (when awakened). Then top won’t be able to play her off the leader effect (20k or less)
Agree 100%. The effect itself is not the problem, it's the targets it is able to play from it. You pull a few of those (ie, your comment) & suddenly it's still a worthwhile ability & leader but doesn't steam roll anyone it comes up against.
I've been saying this in my local area and no one agrees. The problem is you can hit kefla now. But there will be another later. That card will always be a problem
It's not complaining, it's criticizing a unhealthy deck that will affect the meta and player base as a whole. Hence why I said not to just ban the leader, just make it less busted.
Yellow can compete if you keep control w resting 3 drop frieza and 4 drop Goku w/ Frieza switching things to active. Big brain matchup but doable. Errata leader w Kefla… make kefla 25k and make goku drop 2 energy for effect
Honestly if Kefla didn't draw on play and TopKu had a 2 cost activation. It might feel a lot better. No more double strike into double glimpse on 5 energy and red will have a harder time keeping a high hand later into the game. Also the lack of the draw 1 from kefla means red sees a little bit less of their deck too. No more kefla into top deck Gohan/A17/etc
I think they should hit ribriane first once someone said it's just furthering destruction champa bit it works with only one deck and hits 90k with 2 glimpses. Like furthering destruction champa but archetype lock sounds like a huge issue
Green was the same, its just that there is a deck that beats green now, however, topku can be beaten, it's only 2 weeks ago that our regional was all broly and gohan, as soon as the ban hammer comes down we go starit back to green again
@ZxChrono at the start of the set 1, it was all green, online it was all green. I agree that it could be beaten but it took time to figure it out, I feel the same with the top deck, just need to work out the way to beat it, if not then errata it. At our regionals here in Aus, the top 8 were 6 broly, the top 16 was at least 12 green decks, so yeah from what I have seen and played against, green was every bit as dominant
Concur on many points. I agreed with the power negating not being a "skill removal" due to it working appropriately in Masters, but because of the differences in the games I think that rule should be altered in FW. Additionally, I was upset that counters were removed but I am enjoying that greatly. With that stated, they seem to still be including skills/on play abilities which in my eyes are weakened due to the existence of counters. If you're removing counters then they need to be more mindful of what skills/abilities the cards have. I mean did Bandai even test these cards?? Lol.
@philplaystcg420 lmao It might have been the topku going for a bad shot gun but he was able to combo out with multiple meteors and win on the clap back it was crazy to watch
Super disappointing start to set 2, really killed the hype for me to get back into the game, I'm gonna wait it out until Bandai addresses this. Emergency ban/restriction to Kefla seems like the easiest and best solution, banning Topku would just result in Beerus taking over. Apart from Red, the meta seems decent but red just unbalances everything atm
People said the same thing for OP and Whitebeard, and guess what? The game stayed health and played! Stop saying that things like these kill a game! It's not real! Every card game (bandai especially) as a broken leader. Again, like i'm saying every time, play that leader or hard counter it, exposing yourself to a potential L from a weaker deck.
except this early in the life of a game is legitimately not healthy and if even the top of top players say it isn't worth playing any other deck is telling.

I find it funny that set 1 ginyu with recoome was once per turn, but they didnt hold back with kefla.

Glimpse needs to go. Regardless of how else they decide to deal with red, the game just can’t handle that card this early in its life cycle
I also strongly believe gohan is over tuned, it should minus 10k and probably also not get the 5k boost while leader is awakened

Just errata the Goku leader to only work with U7 Tournament Of Power cards
I think in this game a small tweak will change a lot if you pay 2 I think it feels way better with the glimpse ribreanne
