I loved that game :) for me it's a solid 9 😊 Thx for your review :) it will help me chose what kind of gamers will like it :) the tiles problem was fixed with the insert and the same tiles being used for all the ice campaign, and the same other tiles being used for all the desert campaign... So I like that :) For the other parts, it depends on what you like or not... And yes, some of the tribe actions are unclear. Fortunately, the author is very responsive on BGA. Good review and good ratings :)
It‘s a favorite game of mine. Even the old version after I created my own permanent search decks and tile sets. Funny and great to see that the designer found the same solutions and put them in that version. While I don‘t agree that the game is fiddly I too think the tribe rules are overwrought and unnecessarily clunky. But I have my own rules for them now and I‘m very happy with it.
Am I right that the major improvements are to the rules - standardizing tiles and search decks? Or are there new parts/additions that you think enhances it over retroactively making the rules changes to the original? Thanks so much for covering this game.
The original game took about 20 minutes to setup and mostly reused the same tiles between scenarios. I have all of the content for the original game and have never had any questions about the rules that I can recall. It plays really smooth and provides a strong thematic element. Yes, it can be lucky on occasion 10-20% of the time. The fun though is off the charts and encourages meaningful cooperation. I have only played it multi-player 30+ times by now. Concerned about the changing content but even if it is not compatible, I have plenty of replayable content already to play with.
How does it play as a one-off single scenario? I love campaign games but I have so many now and they are hard to get to the table for a casual game night.

Would be really cool if you can share your tribe rules, I'm always interested by fan variants!
I think the MA universe is one of the most UNDERRATED SOLO experiences out there. I hope the game will rise in the solo tops this year!!!!
Here we are... yes I really like the game super fun!!!

Well I am intrigued. Hopefully this shows up somewhere.
It's a very fun game but it was disappointing that the new insert doesn't accommodate sleeves
I sleeved all of them and they fit... 🤔

my second favorite game (after Spirit Island)
The game that gave me the biggest buyers remorse ever
