You know something, I like watching someone do something slowly. I am a person who naturally rushes things and when I see people doing crafts at a fast-fwd pace in videos it affects my thinking when I do the craft, (i.e. I feel I have to be faster). I have to keep reminding myself to slow down. As they say, "often it is the journey that is important, not the destination". I am 70 next year and it has only just dawned on me how true that saying is. As the song says, "nice and easy does it, every time".🧡🤗
I'm glad you think so! My teaching style isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I would rather go slow and benefit more people than go fast and brush over important things ❤️ Besides, weaving is a slow craft and rushing feels counter intuitive 😊
I did that on my first project. But since it was a very simple project I just left it backwards and I was only using one Heddle so it worked out. Now I make sure that I watch for the writing on the Heddle. Now I will know what to do if I end up with a backwards Heddle. Thank you Kelly so much.
Is there a difference? I don’t see any frontwards or backwards on my heddle other than the word. Angle? Now I am going to go check. Pretty sure it doesn’t make a difference, though.
If left alone does it mess up the pattern or is mainly a comfort situation? I warped for the first time with a second Heddle . The front Heddle is right the back one is backwards.
I love the colours in this warp. Very helpful thank you
Thanks Leeanne!

Thanks Kelly it is nice to know I am not alone.
I warped backwards once so hopefully I am more careful now.
Thanks Kelly~so good to know I’m not alone when it comes to mistakes! 😊
You're definitely not, I have made, and continue to make many mistakes 😀
I keep warping backwards!! I am new at this..haha 🥴
Keep practicing and you will get there 😊
Not just me who has done this then!
I've made just about every mistake there is to make, so no, you're definitely not alone 😆
My backwards is the entire loom is backwards! (Not the heddle) I just have wind it all onto the back beam from the front. So frustrating!
Oh, poor you! 😔
I guess this only applies to that double heddle block. My RH loom only has slots for the heddle on one side. It doesn't work backwards.
Now I need to go to group and see what this is!
😉
Hmm 🤔 guess I missed what’s coming up for members - can’t wait to see what it is!

I can feel a difference. It might depend on the make of your loom though?

As long as your two heddles line up (as in, the slots and holes line up well) you shouldn't have any problems. I just don't like the way it feels 😊
You didn’t answer my question. If the reed is backwards dies it mess up the pattern?
That was what I meant about the holes and slots lining up. As long as they do, your pattern should weave as normal.
I truly wish I could fast forward myself when doing this lol
Oh yes, wouldn't that be nice! 😆
