Immensely helpful and thorough. Saved me 300 bucks. 200 on labor and 100 on part. Acura branded o2 sensor (denso) is 180 and the exact same plug by the same manufacturer is 100. And I didn’t have to wait for service appt. Thank you.
Excellent, Impecable … Great description and explanation as well as tool utilization. In addition, your step by step description is on point. Well done!!!!
I want to say thanks you I been watching a lot of video no one show to change the Af fuse and it located I change bank1 bank 2 sensor 1 but check engine still on now I only change the Af fuse and it worked I’m so happy one again I very appreciate thanks you
Thank you. i was struggling with this all week. i have a 2004 tl and it would go limp on me after a 20 minutes of driving. codes P2197 P2195 P0171 P2138
That might work for testing the heating element inside of the O² sensor (two black wires). An O² sensor works between 0-1volt. Switch the meter to millivolts and pass a torch over the bulb end of the sensor. If the reading on your dvom is quick both up & down than the sensor is good. Also a bad heating element in an 0² sensor will set its own code.
So the scan tool can also do the first step of checking the resistance? I dont have a multimeter thats whyz… also if u get any kind of miliamp reading from the scan tool that verifies ur 02 sensors are good?
Came looking for b1s1 sensor .. Mitsubishi asx 2.2did .. I only have 1sensor after the mid box.. had a broken wire .. fitted a new one .. now have p2252
Awesome vid great explanation. But I have a problem. I have a Toyota Yaris 2009 Tr 1.33 Petrol and I was driving normal on a rainy day and check engine light came on. It’s a P2196 Oxygen (A/F) Sensor signal stuck rich (Bank 1 Sensor 1). I don’t know why that code came on as my car drives fine, The rpms are all equal and balanced and not jumping up and down it runs smooth gives power like it’s been since I’ve owned the car basically drives like a dream but why did I get that code? Iv also checked the wiring and it’s all good. What i have done is iv cleared the code and drove it for a bit like 4 to 6 miles around town and I have not got engine light on yet. Do you think something is wrong like the sensor or anything?
Bank 1 side isn't always the same on every vehicle. It varies by vehicle and in some cases by year. The rule-of-thumb isn't that it is always on the passenger side of the car or the side closest to the inside of the vehicle on sideway engines as are more cars these days. The true rule-of-thumb is that it is always on the side of the engine that houses the number one cylinder/piston. Especially on many vehicles of early 2000's and before, you can find such as Chevrolet engines that had bank on the driver side. It is true that on most cars built these days, have bank one on the passenger side
Pretty easy to do on that car. It's the same as the accord V6. I'm pretty sure all of the j series (j30, j32,j35) are close to the same or pretty much the same. That Acura has a Honda j32 power plant, it is 100% a Honda motor with an Acura badge.
Bank 1 sensor 1 refers to on V profile engines where you number 1 cylinder is at, per manufacturer, not necessarily fire wall location: Chevy generally #1 is at driver side, Ford passenger side, non transverse engines, Allways refer to your manufacturer spec's. Your diagnostics go in a wild goose chase if you get this wrong.
Hi, I had my engine replaced on my Acura, and it is a newer engine, the obd reads po135, however I can't tell what year is my new car engine, suggestions are highly welcome sir.
What about the P0031 P0032 P0131 P0132 My Sorrento 2012 always show that .. it belongs to the heater ..the harness had 6 wires but the sensor had only 5 !! Confused about that and How to dell with .. any explanation for this part Thank you
I have a 98 dodge ram 1500 with 5.2. Pulls a po171 code lean bank one slow response. I have replaced every sensor , vacuum leaks, idle control valve, catalytic converter, gasket under throttle body. Mas sensor. Can undo battery put back on truck runs great for fifty miles engine light comes on idles up and down, gets 5 mpg and reads lean bank one code. There's nothing else to replace that I know of. Help. Short term fuel reads 32.5 long term 0.0.
OMG! So many errors! Air fuel ratio sensors are not specifically for codes P0133 P0134 and P0135 but for a Whole bunch of other DTC codes! Engine banks are not always in the arrangement you mentioned! Bank 1 is gonna be always where piston #1 is located at!
Good jod put my Honda crv 2000 manual oxygen sensor bank one take out the red positive the battery for 15 m the light got away put it back driving for_40 minutes light coming back crv stared ile air got up and Dow's and marking don't know need to reset ait
I swear by Anti seize. I use it on wedge style battery hold down bolts (common on Ford's) and I have never broken a bolt when it's time to replace the battery. Acid and corrosion sure speed up rust.
All you are testing is the heater element in the sensor! You need to test the air/fuel ratio sensing function and that requires a scan tool. Stop making out like you know what you are talking about and misleading people. It's quite astounding that so many posts are thanking you.

Hi there. I have exactly the same issue. Can you tell me which fuse you have changed and where are they located?? Thanks
Thank you sir. Wish I had seen your informative video weeks ago.
Awesome!🙌 Ty. You helped make this a lot easier. This cleared my p0172 on my Honda Pilot.
Great, informative video 👍🏻
Thank you. i was struggling with this all week. i have a 2004 tl and it would go limp on me after a 20 minutes of driving. codes P2197
P2195

P2138
thank you sir, very informative.
Links to to buy quality and good prices would have been great 👍 love your videos...thanks
Thanks you sir for your time to do this excellent video!!
7:19 for people looking for how to test the sensor
How about a video for 02 Sensor 2, downstream bank 1?

Hi Dude .. P1034 code Saturn serie s 1996 4 cylinder.is it the one underneath the car??

Exactly. On my 98 blazer 4.3, bank 1 is on the drivers side where the #1 cylinder is located.
So if scan tool shows my sensor reading mA even though I have the P0133 code, does that mean that I have an exhaust leak?
Pretty easy to do on that car. It's the same as the accord V6. I'm pretty sure all of the j series (j30, j32,j35) are close to the same or pretty much the same. That Acura has a Honda j32 power plant, it is 100% a Honda motor with an Acura badge.
Well Honda owns and makes Acura so I would hope so
Besides the length of the wires are they both the same
..
great video. i am still looking for a Horn test/replace DIY video for the TL. Anyone knows of any?
There's two of them on the TL. I'll try to post something by the end of the week.

Will cause a really bad rough Idle??
Great video. I got the P2195 code. So, like you said could it possibly just be loose? The code says stuck lean
Yes, it may be just loose. If not, remove and inspect the sensor. Good luck!
Hi, I had my engine replaced on my Acura, and it is a newer engine, the obd reads po135, however I can't tell what year is my new car engine, suggestions are highly welcome sir.
What year is your Acura and what model? Shoot me an email to carsntoys@gmail.com. Cheers.
In this case, both the sensor and fuse are good. so why the P0135 code was there?
I’ve had a p0133 come up, so does that mean the sensor is just dirty or needs replacing?
What about the
P0031
P0032
P0131
P0132

On a 1998 CRV where is it located how do I fix P0135
Where the link for the scanner
Dear i have honda crv 2008 4*4 . I can’t find bank 1 sensor 1 code P0133. Where is locate that sensor and how can replace please help me Thanks
OMG! So many errors! Air fuel ratio sensors are not specifically for codes P0133 P0134 and P0135 but for a Whole bunch of other DTC codes! Engine banks are not always in the arrangement you mentioned! Bank 1 is gonna be always where piston #1 is located at!
Every one has his stayls
Thank you. All trouble codes are listed in the description box.
He specified that on Hondas, Bank 1 is at the firewall on these J series engines. No. 1 piston is at the firewall on the passenger side.
I replaced my 02 sensor but car triggering an p0133 code I noticed one of my fuel injectors is leaking can that be the problem?
Thanks for let us know 🙏that.
I keep getting a p0132 code on my 1999 5.9 Durango still after i replaced the Upstream sensor
Is B1S2 SAME AS B1B1
What is the part # for this bank 1 sensor 1
If you're working on an Acura, check acura parts warehouse.
Good jod put my Honda crv 2000 manual oxygen sensor bank one take out the red positive the battery for 15 m the light got away put it back driving for_40 minutes light coming back crv stared ile air got up and Dow's and marking don't know need to reset ait
Anyone else know about the trick Take the upstream o2 off either cat,if it's loud like a getto muffler you have a bad cat
Test results: 0.00 what does this mean? Engine light on got code pulled a/f sensor 1 bank 2 upstream. Feb. 8, 2024
Why I can't measure sensor's resistance mounted in car? It would be the same, if I disconnect the cable, or...?
he said you can measure it while its in the car. he chose to remove it for recording purposes
@@mcfriedchicken1972 okay, I missed it. Thanks.
1st! Yee haw! I win!
Anti-seize,burns off when you start the car, don't see the point putting it on
Leaves a film between the threads...

How much does this cost to fix? The mechanic wants 300 dollars ?
That's actually a reasonable price DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION OF THE O² sensor. If it's an air fuel sensor they can run between $100-$200 each.
That not how u test a air sensor OMG remove it before use a Scanner that’s your procedure
a doubt the Odyssey sensor is the same? Do they work the same?
Thanks for all your videos and for the information provided.
