Just wanted to say this. There are so many animal and other crazy animal studios out there who've tried to do what you by yourself do but eventually give up or just fail to recreate this. You are amazing at this please don't give up on what you are doing unless you really dislike it in that case just drop it. But what you are doing is just amazing and I love it. Please continue to work on this game however you want to work on it because your work is amazing and it wouldn't be as good if you didn't make it.

omg I remember that game, I loved flying around as an eagle or chilling in that huge cave as a lion with other lions. yall remember that one period of time when there was this huge gaping crater in the ground at spawn? good times.. Im so glad ludi has kept going with it.
Everything I just saw was great! The animations, model, mechanics and everything on that hippo is fabulous! Honestly felt like I was watching a real hippo.. I was wondering what the swimming mechanics for the hippo would be like in game.. but you honestly nailed it! Can’t wait to see what you create next!
@@josephpatterson2549 They are negatively buoyant because they are dense, not heavy. Sure they are still heavy. Elephants on the otherhand can swim and are alot heavier than hippos.

Hey ludi, been a fan since primal life and that one wacky horror game thing with the tall ass black figure things, can't remember what it was called. But I gotta say any project you've made has been revolutionary. Primal life/EOT was so ahead of its time with body decay, turn radius, etc. and the animations have always been top tier. WS is no exception, you've done incredible work. Never seen a roblox game with turn in place animations, quick turns, dodges, pounces, theres even skeletons when you finish eating a body. Its insane the amount of love you've put into these games and its inspiring as hell. God bless you bro, keep up the marvelous work. Your animations are my inspiration.

Very well done! I'm super impressed and excited for the first phase of the recode. I do have a question though.. Will water based animals such as the nile croc and hippo be able to see slightly better underwater? And if so, will it be apart of the first phase update, whenever it comes around?
The visual acuity you see in the video will be the "best version" of it. Land animals will have more blur compared to what you see here when looking underwater.

I play Wild Savanna ALL THE TIME! It's literally one of my fave games. I can't wait for the new update to release! (absolutely no pressure tho, take ur time!) The game you've created is so amazing, thanks for all your hard work!
The keys that I have decided to use are the "Q" key and spacebar. "Q" to sink, spacebar to rise. This is only temporary, and may change. You cannot float or swim as the hippo, so it is just spacebar to "jump" from the bottom of the lake or river.

Hey. I don't wanna annoy you, but I just wanted to know what exactly is holding up the update? I know you still have the carnivore combat and climbing to do but like what's making it take long? I know you guys are working really hard (I saw DoktorHyena's video) but like... It's been a very long time. I mean is there a slight tiny possibility it'll release this month or in very early 2024? My idea is that you release just a few things for now to hold people off, or upload a video or something.
What's making it take so long is just due to things happening in my personal life. I also feel it is because my original plans for the update had a bunch of complicated stuff involved. I don't remember if I told you or another user on here, but yes, there is a slight possibility it will release soon.
The whole recode looks so good, but I'm genuinely excited for hippos. Even though large herbivores aren't generally liked by WS due to their power, I think hippos will still shake up the game in a good way, making river crossings more dangerous and having the croc to keep that power balance in check. Very good choice on addition, gonna love this update.
2 quick questions, if you are a croc and you got attacked by a lion, would it be a pounce and slow the croc down or? My other question is, when attacked by a crocodile will there be a way to escape from their grasp? also thanks so much for making this game, its so entertaining and ive been here since about 2017! youve improved so much and im here for it.
1. Lions will be able to pounce on crocodiles. This will stop the crocodile and force it to defend itself similarly to how lions currently pounce on hyenas. Due to crocodiles being larger and having tougher skin than a hyena, it will last a lot longer than a hyena when pounced on by a lion. Also, pouncing on a crocodile will only work if it is on land. 2. Yes, when a crocodile grabs a prey or a predator, each will have their own ways of defending themselves or escaping from the croc's grasp. For prey, this includes kicking, biting (Ex: zebra), goring/flinging with horns/tusks, bucking, or simply pulling away and thrashing around. For predators, they will twists their body/neck to bite or claw the crocodile. All of these defensive moves will cause the crocodile to let go and be stunned for a second or two allowing the other animal time to escape.
ludi, will the croc get camo like the big cats in the game when they crouch? like, will the croc be able to enable camo in the water and sneak up? thanks if you answer, and i'm hyped for the recode. good job! also, will semi aquatic and aquatic animals get a 2nd eyelid if they have one to see underwater better? the croc has a second eyelid, enabling it to see better underwater. I think that's the same with the hippopotamus. Thanks!!
The crocodile probably won't get a camo feature if the water is murky enough. I also probably won't add the eyelid that you are referring to. Well, that could be simulated in the game by having the eye look more "cloudy" while underwater.

@@CliipperzzFR Oh, animals will have varying degrees of visual clarity underwater. What you saw in the video is the "best" underwater vision. The other animals will have blurrier vision underwater compared to this. I thought you were strictly referring to having the membrane over the eye physically on the model itself.

Really, LudicrousCunningFox, from the animations to the mechanics, this is the best animal simulator around; incredibly, even if half made it's better than bigger productions ones, because passion and right ideas beat the generalist approach, not matter how well developed it is. But more than anything I finally have the sensation of a developer that really knows and love zoology, and knows what it takes to convert it into an entertaining game while keeping the realism - which always is the point all of this kind of project messes up. I honestly would shake your hand if I could.

I absolutely love it. Just a thought though. Maybe hippo oxygen should be a bit larger. Irl they are able to sleep and stuff underwater for quite a while. In the video it feels pretty limited. I know although it is in testing and things can change. I love this game very much and have been waiting for this for years❤❤❤. Keep up the great work and make sure to take ample breaks when needed!!!
Hippos still come up for air in their sleep. They have a reflex where they can go up to the surface and get a breath while sleeping and not wake up. Also they can hold their breath longer probably because their heart rate and movement is slower.
Yeah, hippos don't hold their breath the entire time they are asleep, like mentioned earlier. They apparently only hold their breath for up to 5 minutes at a time, which I have converted to the in-game time. You probably wouldn't need to be staying underwater for long periods of time anyway. The crocodile on the other hand, being a reptile with a much slower metabolism than a hippo, would be able to stay underwater for much longer.
I love the way you treat your game, you do almost all of it by yourself just for people to enjoy your content. I started to use roblox studio because i got inspired from your work. I hope your content gets the love it deserves.

- I started developing on Roblox in 2013. - I created this game due to my interest in wildlife, and there were no animal survival games that fit my vision back then. - The process was filled with trial and error. I basically learned in a step by step fashion (I started out as a modeler, then learned to animate, then learned to code, etc). - No, I don't plan on switching the game over to a different platform.
Hey Ludi, I don't know if I'm the only one to have this problem, but in these days I found a big bug in the zebra model. In practice, it lags and while walking, eating, running, attacking,standing or clicking a number key for the calls, it simply lags and for some seconds repeatedly, the model goes back to the standing form when you spawn (I'm not even English I don't know how to explain it well). Hope someone has my same problem, bye
It goes back to the standing form because Roblox had recently came out with an update that broke many people's games. They are in the process of fixing that. As for the lag that happens, that may be due to something in the code or the fact that the model contains over 300 parts inside of it. This is why I plan on remodeling it to where it has less parts. The coding will also be cleaned up a bit.
Hey Ludi, I am so intrigued in the progress of the game, and I have some questions that mostly relate to this video (You don't need to answer all of them): 1. Is this the final model and animations for the hippo? While it certainly looks good, it looks more like a placeholder compared to the textures and the animations that we are shown in the wiki. 2. How will dryness and drowning kill you? For example, will it be small amounts of damage overtime, large amounts of damage overtime, or closer to instantaneous death? 3. How fast will you loose stamina when swimming, and will rushing rivers be an active threat for people who are crossing? 4. Will terrestrial predators be able to attack prey while in deep water? 5. In the future, will spawn locations be associated with the animal? 6. Something that bugs me a bit. Why does it take like 5 pounces to kill a leopard as a lion, whether or not you get the green bar, but when you pounce a cheetah as s leopard, the green bar does matter? I get that cheetahs are fragile, but a cheetah is more likely to escape from a leopard than a leopard is from a male lion. 7. This one may be a bit controversial, depending on what the answer it, but what is your favourite animal in the game, or your favourite animal you have worked on so far?
1. It's the exact same model, texture and animations actually. Probably has something to do with the video quality. 2. Moisture causes small damage over time while drowning causes large damage over time. 3. You'll lose stamina while swimming at the same rate as you would if you were jogging on land. 4. No. 5. Yes. 6. The way the pounce works right now is temporary, and is not indicative of how I wanted it to work. But if you really want to know the reason, it is because leopards are generally good at defending themselves from lions, including the male lions. The only way I could simulate this at the time was making lions having to pounce leopards multiple times before killing it, as I did not yet animate the leopard rolling on its back and clawing at the lion's face. (cheetah would've also gotten an animation like this when pounced as well) The reason why this wasn't done for whenever a leopard pounces a cheetah is because I didn't think to do so, and I also never had the chance to really focus on the cheetah before I switched to working on the new version of the game. I don't plan on changing this for the current version of the game since I am reworking the pouncing to be more like how I've envisioned it. 7. Crocodile, probably.

So, What's left for the update exactly, I saw in one comment that you said that the hippo and croc were done, you'd also mentioned something about emotes needing completion. Could you perhaps elaborate on what exactly is left.
Basically, emotes for all animals and combat animations for a few animals (ex: ostrich, cheetah, wild dog) is all that is left for the initial update. I don't want to get into anything more specific than that since it is meant to be a "surprise."

I saw a couple of comments asking wether the update's coming out in 2024 (due to the copyright disclaimer) and it turns out it isn't, does that mean it would come out somewhere in early 2024 (or before it) or in 2025? I feel Ludi really watches a lot of documentaries or videos of how these animals move unlike some other studios where the animal animations may not be as accurate.
Hello, Lud I have a few inquiries for you. I've been watching several documentaries about vervet monkeys and baboons, and I've come to the conclusion that they are incredibly agile and flexible animals. I understand that this may not be implemented, but is it feasible to flip in different directions when in the air? Will a monkey be able to spin its entire body while jumping in the air? Also, would this portion of the recode have a different map? I can travel a great distance without running across someone or become sick of the map. When consuming a cadaver, will there be any symptoms of decomposition? In other words, will it begin to deteriorate and be infested with flies? I question because it's possible to consume a cadaver and have it transform to bones while you do so. And I have to ask: Will you lose stanima when ascending or will there be stanima when you climb? Last but not least, can animals sense or smell whether you're weak or not?
I am not sure if I would add flipping in the air for monkeys, but they will have a tight turn radius while running to simulate their agility. This part of the recode will have the current map as the new map has not been finished yet. Yes, better-looking decomposition will be a thing after an animal dies. Climbing trees will require stamina Animals won't be able to smell weakness, but there will be signs of weakness that the animal can see visually.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. this models and animations is what makes Wild Savannah the best animal game in roblox imo. I do have two questions, I remember before the Nile crocodiles were removed? They used to be spawned so far away from the water. So you would take a long walk to find a puddle or lake, tbh Idk if in like 2020-2021 the river was added to the game, but I never found it lol. Anyways, will that be ''fixed''? I get that it must be really hard to say so, or not. And I cannot compliment your work on this game enough. It looks fantastic, even on minimum graphics like in my computer. And do you already know or can tell how will the fighting mechanism will be? Like the Crocodile bites the prey and doesn't let go off of it or something like that. I remember I wanted to play your games since the mobile era. And now with this videos, every youtuber of WS talking about it, makes me so excited. And my final question, Will the Nile Crocodile be faster in water? Irl they can reach 35km/h, but you know that. It just seemed it was kind of slow when sprint-swimming. (NOT a complaint, just a doubt. Thank you!)
Crocodiles will spawn closer to water. I already have an idea of how crocodile combat and hunting will work. Also, the top speed of the crocodile swimming is not final. It is using the hippo's swimming speed instead of its own in this video. And no, a map is not planned for the game.

I absolutely love this game, the animations are organic, models look great (I especially like the blocky ones, despite not looking realistic when it comes to textures, they still feel more real and alive than most realistic game models I seen and they allow for neat animation, Im really fond of them) Anyway, I'm curious about when will cubs appear in the game. I know it's impossible to estimate when they'd be playable etc, but I wanna know weather you plan to finish all animals that you want to have in game first and then do their juvenile versions or are you planning to add juvies sooner?
I reckon that juvenile animals will be one of the final features added to the game so possibly in the 3rd update. I read on the wiki that Growth is set to be a pretty distant mechanic - not anytime soon. I can understand why it would be of less priority.

This looks very good, I hope there is a staying still animation when the crocodile stop swimming, I vividly remember that crocs continue to swim even when not moving in the last game.
I'm very much hoping for hippos to be gloriously over powered. I played a steam game that was like wild Savanah and it had a massive Lion Bias problem where lions were easily hunting Hippos and elephants like nothing. Was wack
@@SirKolass Not rhinos but elephants yes. The white rhino weighs slightly more than a hippo so it would win but barely. However, the white rhino isn't planned to be in the game afaik and instead its smaller cousin the black rhino will be in the game.
@@Valrokius White rhinos have an average weight of 2.3 tons, Hippos average 1.5 tons, that's nearly a ton more than a hippo. Those huge rhino horns can also do quite a lot more damage than hippos can. There's this video of a hippo trying to bully rhinos and it doesn't end well, it's called "Hippo Learns Lesson From Rhinos" It's quite funny xD
Black rhinoceros tend to average 800-1400 kilos, so I’d definetly say for balance reasons it’d be relatively even if the fight (with a slight advantage to the hippo) took place at night or near water. However looking at the video it seems hippos loose moisture quite fast atleast during the day, so I doubt as a hippo you’d really want to be fighting a rhino during the day.
its crazy how a roblox game with a single dev can beat a paid game that has more devs working on it , cuz if you compare animalia with wild savanna the only thing thats better is the graphics but idc bout that, cuz damn when im looking at that croc animations its like looking at a real life crocodile , and the crazy part bout this is that this game is free, ludi is nott charging anything for it, thats a real one right there.

I would really like such a long-awaited project not to be spoiled by such people like: kids, cheaters, and so on. You probably know what I mean. Ludi has put his heart into this game, and he is definitely worthy of respect. Players just pile up in one place and kill each other. this is also a fairly common problem. who is reading this, I ask you to treat the project with respect and not break the rules, I wanted to see a real savannah, not chaos.
I'd want to see this, but the only regulation that exists is to not exploit, so they are free to act in that way if they choose. Still, I agree with your attitude and statement.
Its beacuse people dont care Most of the people usually dont know what this game can offer, but they treat it more as a arcade game rather than survival. They basicly forgot what survival of the fittest realy means. This game doesnt need to have most players realistic but more realisms would be better for the game
@@wildguy4773 “Survival of the fittest” isn't really the best term to use, as no animal is truly better adapted than other animals in their environment. Realism servers also miss the point where half of your mortality rate as other predators should be caused by either failed hunts or, well, lions.

Yes, they will come in the initial update. Also, the remodeling isn't for the entire current roster in this one update. Remodeling for each animal will happen over the course of several updates, so there will be times where old models and new models are mixed.
understand that the proposal is to make it realistic, not a game where everything is simply fantasy, there is no map in the middle of the serengeti, the animals are based on memory and smell.

I love Wild Savannah! I used to play it all the time with my friend. We were really sad when the original was removed. But then we were very excited when we saw what you were working on. We are so very proud of you, I will say tho the map is incredibly large LMAO maybe scale it down a bit, and it would also be nice to have npc gazelles and prey because no one seems to want to play the prey. I think the game would be really really fun if you did these things. Anyways, we will forever and always love your game and I can't wait for it to be fully developed!
Also finding people that play prey is hard because people don’t how to play them and lions easily bring them down in the recode hunting is going to be way harder and prey will be able to fight back very well so more people are going to play them

Will grabbing the corpse be in the 1.0 Update? 4. will there be any gore? 1.0 5. You said there will be a broken leg system and bleeding system will the blood be shown and will the broken boness be visible with a leg that crooked or a limp? 1.0 6. Will some animals have quicker turn than other for example (A Cheetah chasing a gazelle and the gazelle turns turns very quickly) or ( A impala is drinking water and a crocidile comes out trying to sneak it will it) be able to turn very quickly like in real life or will it be stuck drinking for a couple of seconds? 1.0 7. Everything I just saw was great! The animations, model, mechanics and everything on that hippo is fabulous! Honestly felt like I was watching a real hippo.. @@josephpatterson2549 They are negatively buoyant because they are dense, not heavy. Sure they are still heavy. Elephants on the otherhand can swim and are alot heavier than hippos.

Hey ludi, been a fan since primal life and that one wacky horror game thing with the tall ass black figure things, can't remember what it was called. But I gotta say any project you've made has been revolutionary. Primal life/EOT was so ahead of its time with body decay, turn radius, etc. and the animations have always been top tier. WS is no exception, you've done incredible work. Never seen a roblox game with turn in place animations, quick turns, dodges, pounces, theres even skeletons when you finish eating a body. Its insane the amount of love you've put into these games and its inspiring as hell.

That's a good question fr, I mean you have to see when prey comes near by.
The visual acuity you see in the video will be the "best version" of it. Land animals will have more blur compared to what you see here when looking underwater.

We finally got new looks for the recode! can't wait for it! one question tho, how would you be able to sink or float back down/up the water?
The keys that I have decided to use are the "Q" key and spacebar. "Q" to sink, spacebar to rise. This is only temporary, and may change.
You cannot float or swim as the hippo, so it is just spacebar to "jump" from the bottom of the lake or river.

Hey. I don't wanna annoy you, but I just wanted to know what exactly is holding up the update? I know you still have the carnivore combat and climbing to do but like what's making it take long? I know you guys are working really hard (I saw DoktorHyena's video) but like... It's been a very long time. I mean is there a slight tiny possibility it'll release this month or in very early 2024? My idea is that you release just a few things for now to hold people off, or upload a video or something.
What's making it take so long is just due to things happening in my personal life. I also feel it is because my original plans for the update had a bunch of complicated stuff involved.

The whole recode looks so good, but I'm genuinely excited for hippos. Even though large herbivores aren't generally liked by WS due to their power, I think hippos will still shake up the game in a good way, making river crossings more dangerous and having the croc to keep that power balance in check. Very good choice on addition, gonna love this update.

2 quick questions, if you are a croc and you got attacked by a lion, would it be a pounce and slow the croc down or?
My other question is, when attacked by a crocodile will there be a way to escape from their grasp?

1. Lions will be able to pounce on crocodiles. This will stop the crocodile and force it to defend itself similarly to how lions currently pounce on hyenas. Due to crocodiles being larger and having tougher skin than a hyena, it will last a lot longer than a hyena when pounced on by a lion. Also, pouncing on a crocodile will only work if it is on land.
2. Yes, when a crocodile grabs a prey or a predator, each will have their own ways of defending themselves or escaping from the croc's grasp. For prey, this includes kicking, biting (Ex: zebra), goring/flinging with horns/tusks, bucking, or simply pulling away and thrashing around. For predators, they will twists their body/neck to bite or claw the crocodile. All of these defensive moves will cause the crocodile to let go and be stunned for a second or two allowing the other animal time to escape.

The crocodile probably won't get a camo feature if the water is murky enough. I also probably won't add the eyelid that you are referring to.
Well, that could be simulated in the game by having the eye look more "cloudy" while underwater.

@@CliipperzzFR Oh, animals will have varying degrees of visual clarity underwater. What you saw in the video is the "best" underwater vision. The other animals will have blurrier vision underwater compared to this.

Really, LudicrousCunningFox, from the animations to the mechanics, this is the best animal simulator around; incredibly, even if half made it's better than bigger productions ones, because passion and right ideas beat the generalist approach, not matter how well developed it is. But more than anything I finally have the sensation of a developer that really knows and love zoology, and knows what it takes to convert it into an entertaining game while keeping the realism - which always is the point all of this kind of project messes up. I honestly would shake your hand if I could.

I absolutely love it. Just a thought though. Maybe hippo oxygen should be a bit larger. Irl they are able to sleep and stuff underwater for quite a while. In the video it feels pretty limited. I know although it is in testing and things can change. I love this game very much and have been waiting for this for years❤❤❤. Keep up the great work and make sure to take ample breaks when needed!!!
Hippos still come up for air in their sleep. They have a reflex where they can go up to the surface and get a breath while sleeping and not wake up. Also they can hold their breath longer probably because their heart rate and movement is slower.

Yeah, hippos don't hold their breath the entire time they are asleep, like mentioned earlier. They apparently only hold their breath for up to 5 minutes at a time, which I have converted to the in-game time.
You probably wouldn't need to be staying underwater for long periods of time anyway.
The crocodile on the other hand, being a reptile with a much slower metabolism than a hippo, would be able to stay underwater for much longer.

- I started developing on Roblox in 2013.
- I created this game due to my interest in wildlife, and there were no animal survival games that fit my vision back then.
- The process was filled with trial and error. I basically learned in a step by step fashion (I started out as a modeler, then learned to animate, then learned to code, etc).
- No, I don't plan on switching the game over to a different platform.

Hey Ludi, I don't know if I'm the only one to have this problem, but in these days I found a big bug in the zebra model. In practice, it lags and while walking, eating, running, attacking,standing or clicking a number key for the calls, it simply lags and for some seconds repeatedly, the model goes back to the standing form when you spawn (I'm not even English I don't know how to explain it well). Hope someone has my same problem, bye
That’s why it’s getting a mesh remodel
It goes back to the standing form because Roblox had recently came out with an update that broke many people's games. They are in the process of fixing that.
As for the lag that happens, that may be due to something in the code or the fact that the model contains over 300 parts inside of it. This is why I plan on remodeling it to where it has less parts. The coding will also be cleaned up a bit.
Hey Ludi, I am so intrigued in the progress of the game, and I have some questions that mostly relate to this video (You don't need to answer all of them):
1. Is this the final model and animations for the hippo? While it certainly looks good, it looks more like a placeholder compared to the textures and the animations that we are shown in the wiki.
2. How will dryness and drowning kill you? For example, will it be small amounts of damage overtime, large amounts of damage overtime, or closer to instantaneous death?
3. How fast will you loose stamina when swimming, and will rushing rivers be an active threat for people who are crossing?
4. Will terrestrial predators be able to attack prey while in deep water?
5. In the future, will spawn locations be associated with the animal?
6. Something that bugs me a bit. Why does it take like 5 pounces to kill a leopard as a lion, whether or not you get the green bar, but when you pounce a cheetah as s leopard, the green bar does matter? I get that cheetahs are fragile, but a cheetah is more likely to escape from a leopard than a leopard is from a male lion.
7. This one may be a bit controversial, depending on what the answer it, but what is your favourite animal in the game, or your favourite animal you have worked on so far?
1. It's the exact same model, texture and animations actually. Probably has something to do with the video quality.
2. Moisture causes small damage over time while drowning causes large damage over time.
3. You'll lose stamina while swimming at the same rate as you would if you were jogging on land.
4. No.
5. Yes.
6. The way the pounce works right now is temporary, and is not indicative of how I wanted it to work.
But if you really want to know the reason, it is because leopards are generally good at defending themselves from lions, including the male lions.
The only way I could simulate this at the time was making lions having to pounce leopards multiple times before killing it, as I did not yet animate the leopard rolling on its back and clawing at the lion's face. (cheetah would've also gotten an animation like this when pounced as well)
The reason why this wasn't done for whenever a leopard pounces a cheetah is because I didn't think to do so, and I also never had the chance to really focus on the cheetah before I switched to working on the new version of the game.
I don't plan on changing this for the current version of the game since I am reworking the pouncing to be more like how I've envisioned it.
7. Crocodile, probably.

So, What's left for the update exactly, I saw in one comment that you said that the hippo and croc were done, you'd also mentioned something about emotes needing completion. Could you perhaps elaborate on what exactly is left.
Basically, emotes for all animals and combat animations for a few animals (ex: ostrich, cheetah, wild dog) is all that is left for the initial update.
I don't want to get into anything more specific than that since it is meant to be a "surprise."

Hello, Lud I have a few inquiries for you. I've been watching several documentaries about vervet monkeys and baboons, and I've come to the conclusion that they are incredibly agile and flexible animals. I understand that this may not be implemented, but is it feasible to flip in different directions when in the air? Will a monkey be able to spin its entire body while jumping in the air? Also, would this portion of the recode have a different map? I can travel a great distance without running across someone or become sick of the map. When consuming a cadaver, will there be any symptoms of decomposition? In other words, will it begin to deteriorate and be infested with flies? I question because it's possible to consume a cadaver and have it transform to bones while you do so. And I have to ask: Will you lose stanima when ascending or will there be stanima when you climb? Last but not least, can animals sense or smell whether you're weak or not?
I am not sure if I would add flipping in the air for monkeys, but they will have a tight turn radius while running to simulate their agility.
This part of the recode will have the current map as the new map has not been finished yet.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. this models and animations is what makes Wild Savannah the best animal game in roblox imo. I do have two questions, I remember before the Nile crocodiles were removed? They used to be spawned so far away from the water. So you would take a long walk to find a puddle or lake, tbh Idk if in like 2020-2021 the river was added to the game, but I never found it lol. Anyways, will that be ''fixed''? I get that it must be really hard to say so, or not. And I cannot compliment your work on this game enough. It looks fantastic, even on minimum graphics like in my computer. And do you already know or can tell how will the fighting mechanism will be? Like the Crocodile bites the prey and doesn't let go off of it or something like that. I remember I wanted to play your games since the mobile era. And now with this videos, every youtuber of WS talking about it, makes me so excited. And my final question, Will the Nile Crocodile be faster in water? Irl they can reach 35km/h, but you know that. It just seemed it was kind of slow when sprint-swimming. (NOT a complaint, just a doubt. Thank you!)

Crocodiles will spawn closer to water. I already have an idea of how crocodile combat and hunting will work.
Also, the top speed of the crocodile swimming is not final. It is using the hippo's swimming speed instead of its own in this video.

I absolutely love this game, the animations are organic, models look great (I especially like the blocky ones, despite not looking realistic when it comes to textures, they still feel more real and alive than most realistic game models I seen and they allow for neat animation, Im really fond of them)
Anyway, I'm curious about when will cubs appear in the game. I know it's impossible to estimate when they'd be playable etc, but I wanna know weather you plan to finish all animals that you want to have in game first and then do their juvenile versions or are you planning to add juvies sooner?
I reckon that juvenile animals will be one of the final features added to the game so possibly in the 3rd update. I read on the wiki that Growth is set to be a pretty distant mechanic - not anytime soon. I can understand why it would be of less priority.

I'm very much hoping for hippos to be gloriously over powered. I played a steam game that was like wild Savanah and it had a massive Lion Bias problem where lions were easily hunting Hippos and elephants like nothing. Was wack
Animalia moment. Btw Ludi uses an animals average weight to scale hp and damage so hippos should be even more powerful than giraffes.
Not overpowered, rhinos and elephants still kick their ass quite easily.
@@SirKolass Not rhinos but elephants yes. The white rhino weighs slightly more than a hippo so it would win but barely. However, the white rhino isn't planned to be in the game afaik and instead its smaller cousin the black rhino will be in the game.
@@Valrokius White rhinos have an average weight of 2.3 tons, Hippos average 1.5 tons, that's nearly a ton more than a hippo.
Those huge rhino horns can also do quite a lot more damage than hippos can.
There's this video of a hippo trying to bully rhinos and it doesn't end well, it's called "Hippo Learns Lesson From Rhinos" It's quite funny xD
Black rhinoceros tend to average 800-1400 kilos, so I’d definetly say for balance reasons it’d be relatively even if the fight (with a slight advantage to the hippo) took place at night or near water. However looking at the video it seems hippos loose moisture quite fast atleast during the day, so I doubt as a hippo you’d really want to be fighting a rhino during the day.
example, a zebra survived a Nile crocodile attack, will it run slower when it is injured, and if it has one leg injured, will it not be able to run?
Yes, injuries will be a thing in the future, and different injuries will result in different consequences.

its crazy how a roblox game with a single dev can beat a paid game that has more devs working on it , cuz if you compare animalia with wild savanna the only thing thats better is the graphics but idc bout that, cuz damn when im looking at that croc animations its like looking at a real life crocodile , and the crazy part bout this is that this game is free, ludi is nott charging anything for it, thats a real one right there.

I would really like such a long-awaited project not to be spoiled by such people like: kids, cheaters, and so on. You probably know what I mean. Ludi has put his heart into this game, and he is definitely worthy of respect. Players just pile up in one place and kill each other. this is also a fairly common problem. who is reading this, I ask you to treat the project with respect and not break the rules, I wanted to see a real savannah, not chaos.

I'd want to see this, but the only regulation that exists is to not exploit, so they are free to act in that way if they choose. Still, I agree with your attitude and statement.

Most of the people usually dont know what this game can offer, but they treat it more as a arcade game rather than survival. They basicly forgot what survival of the fittest realy means. This game doesnt need to have most players realistic but more realisms would be better for the game
@@wildguy4773 “Survival of the fittest” isn't really the best term to use, as no animal is truly better adapted than other animals in their environment. Realism servers also miss the point where half of your mortality rate as other predators should be caused by either failed hunts or, well, lions.

Yes, they will come in the initial update.
Also, the remodeling isn't for the entire current roster in this one update. Remodeling for each animal will happen over the course of several updates, so there will be times where old models and new models are mixed.

Ludi said there wont be any minimaps, thats ehy there is compass for navigation, scents will work as navigation as well
understand that the proposal is to make it realistic, not a game where everything is simply fantasy, there is no map in the middle of the serengeti, the animals are based on memory and smell.

I love Wild Savannah! I used to play it all the time with my friend. We were really sad when the original was removed. But then we were very excited when we saw what you were working on. We are so very proud of you, I will say tho the map is incredibly large LMAO maybe scale it down a bit, and it would also be nice to have npc gazelles and prey because no one seems to want to play the prey. I think the game would be really really fun if you did these things. Anyways, we will forever and always love your game and I can't wait for it to be fully developed!

@@Honda688 most "prey" people play is buffalo and giraffe. Leopards and wild dogs can't do much about that. NPC of every animal would be fun

Also finding people that play prey is hard because people don’t how to play them and lions easily bring them down in the recode hunting is going to be way harder and prey will be able to fight back very well so more people are going to play them

The first phase is almost complete. I think the main thing left to do is a simple combat system for carnivores.

Will some animals have quicker turn than other for example (A Cheetah chasing a gazelle and the gazelle turns turns very quickly) or ( A impala is drinking water and a crocidile comes out trying to sneak it will it) be able to turn very quickly like in real life or will it be stuck drinking for a couple of seconds? 1.0
