So as other members in EXO, they all train with different teacher that appropriate to their need. Chen with one star and Chen is also study/train to be a vocal coach himself, D.O. with Yoo Youngjin and Chanyeol is taking lesson for vocalist with the same teacher as Baekhyun(they went together) and rap with another teacher but I don't have info about Xiumin, Kai and Sehun. Kai said once in the variety show that they all are busy and can only chat in the chatroom even if there is no group activities/practice 'cause aside from individual schedules, everyone has to go class for whatever need vocal, dance, rap and etc.
Sehun also goes to the same vocal coach as Baekhyun and Chanyeol :)
@@Lifebubble167 We don't live in 2014 anymore where he was seen as the 'least good' out of the three. Like I don't know where you've been, but he's for sure beaten every kpop idol with his vocals in the past three years and especially in his last album. Listen to All I Got and Cry For Love and try to imagine other people covering it like he sang it, and reaching that C6. Even Jongdae has never reached that note before.

Fun fact: UN Village (Pronounced like U.N. Village -- like United Nations -- UN. Not unvillage.) is a real place in Korea, it's a ritzy, trendy neighborhood in Korea where some of the top celebrities and idols live. For example, some of the members of BigBang have, or used to have, apartments in UN Village. The area is known for its cool architecture and landscapes and I think some of this MV was either shot in UN Village or, at the very least, the sets were meant to emulate the look of UN Village. So Baekhyun has said that the song is supposed to make listens feel like they want to take their date to UN Village and wander through the streets and buildings while whispering words of love in their ear, etc.
"UN Village" and this album City Lights is Baekhyun's solo debut. He kind of surprised all of us with this one. Before the song was released, we all were trying to guess what kind of style and sound his first album was going to have. And, although this style totally makes sense for him, I don't think many were anticipating it would be quite this soulful.
Also, as a member of EXO, Baekhyun's superpower is the ability to control light. So, although "UN Village" is a love song and he is singing to and about a girl and about her light, the lyrics are also referencing the fact that his superpower is the ability to control light. The lyrics have a double meaning -- it's about love, but it's also about how he can literally turn off the street lights with his powers. That is why this MV has so many references to spotlights and shadows and light and dark and why you see the shadow of lamps with bare light bulbs, and why it's in black and white, etc. It all has to do with the fact that he is a member of EXO and he can control light. Hence, one reason why the album is called City Lights, which obviously also references his power. LOL
As with almost everything EXO does, the red light is thought to represent the Red Force and blue represents EXO. So the scenes that are red could be instances where the Red Force is in control and the scenes in blue are when Baekhyun has the upper hand.
Also take note of the giant map he is looking at hanging on the wall in this MV. When you eventually get to watch EXO-CBX's MV for their song "Horololo," you will see what many think is that same map hanging on the wall in the office Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in in their "Horololo" MV.
Everything EXO does is connected to the group's concept and storyline. This song and MV is an example of how even EXO's solo projects are part of the story -- even as soloists, they can't escape the fact that they are members of EXO.
So, "UN Village" and City Lights is supposed to have an evening theme and "Candy" and Delight, his follow up song and repackaged album, is supposed to be daytime/daylight. It all is meant to play off of each other. :D The two albums are as different as night and day.
That's why SM artists are on a whole other level and why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. They don't have to do a whole lot of remastering of songs when they record their albums because SM's artists are all crazy good vocalists and they have trained to sound just as good, if not better, live as they do in the studio recordings. When it comes to SM artists, you shouldn't hear hardly any difference between the MV and a live performance.

You really should react to his live song ''amusement park'' which is on its latest album ''bambi''. Amusement park has no MV, so just only a live session and its absolutely beautiful.
His voice is really that good! I saw him perform this on the SuperM tour in Chicago and his voice live blew my mind!

Yes. It's just mind blowing that EXO sounds live. Because they don't need a lot of sound adjustments or anything they have a beautiful voice and techniques. That's why they sound exactly as the studio versions and Live.

I saw Baekhyun perform this at a SuperM concert and he is that good.

About his ongoing vocal lessons, I saw him give two reasons. One, when you’re in a group you’re used to singing only parts of the song. He wanted to retrain himself to perform entire songs on his own. The second was that he wants to be a singer for a long time, which means using proper technique.

Being my ult bias he is, I love and respect Baekhyun as a person and an artist. He is obviously a great vocalist and a passionate learner who always makes efforts to be better. As for talent, he can do it all. I mean he is one of (THE) EXO, a group of all-rounders. Each of the members shines as individual and group...
EXO as great soloists are just showing you the reason why they are so good as a group. With the chemistry/brotherhood they have, the blend is just so one of a kind. Their LIVE stages will blow you away. They are just that good!
EXO is known for sounding like the studio recoding in live versions. Sometimes even better. They eat their cd's for breakfast 😀😃
Watching Baekhyun perform improves my self worth if that's possible..like I feel wealthy and blessed by proxy. Self-care and healing involves this man's voice. 😁

Believe it or not, all Exo members still train with vocal coaches even today...because everyone has a different sound and style, they continue to train according to their style. Yes, they've been singing for 10 plus years now, which training starts pre-debut (before 2012). They were in school still, some scouted as early as middle school. Back then they had to keep it a secret from classmates that they were SM trainees. So they had to concentrate on school, then after, go to the SM building to practice. If they were already admitted to live in the dorms at the SM building, after practice they would study for school. And a couple of them graduated from high school while at the dorms, and with the support of their new friends(other members), going to the school for the graduation with flowers.🥰 ALL EXO MEMBERS ARE SINGERS. They are a group that loves to sing more than dancing or rapping. That's why they have more pop, love songs, cute songs, than any other group. They just want to sing. And unless you don't like that slower, yet joyful type of genre..Exo isn't for you. They do many genres....but people go to their concerts to HEAR them...a stadium of 55,000 people will be totally silent when they do ballads. Their vocals are just amazing, even when dancing...as trainees they all had to practice singing on treadmills...so they condition their bodies. With the exception of Kai, Sehun and Lay, who are the main dancers...they focus on their first love, dance, but also sing.

Thank you for this reaction! This will always be one of my favorite Baekhyun songs. I start every morning with a cup of coffee and the Bambi album. I have to listen to it at least twice because it's so short, before switching to my main playlist(mostly EXO, but lots of ASTRO and NCT). I agree with other commenters that you should react to the Amusement Park live session...it's Heavenly. It was like a Christmas gift to fans last December.

Baekhyun truly has the best vocals in kpop. I'm a multi and there's so much talent throughout so many artists/groups but there just something about his voice that sets him apart. So powerful yet smooth, and like you said whomever he marries will be the luckiest woman in the world (lowkey wish it was me)!

I want to say something and you will believe my words if you watch and hear EXO very different when performing "live". Their voices are better than the studio version. They are really talented boys and they don't admit to synchronizing the sound. Not because I like them but it's the truth and you will see that if you see EXO's live performance so I always recommend Seeing all the live performance is what proves the band's voice🙏🏻

His recent release Get You Alone is excellent, it's Japanese but I've seen other reactors cover it so I think that it's safe to upload.
I love how genuine you r appreciating his vocals cus once again, same! Can't help to just be immersed into his velvet honey buttery voice. What i love about UN Village is how it's not much belting but believe me this song is one of the hardest songs out there. This song is so sexy even just by hearing it and his voice did that. Well this is what i get from listening to his songs, whatever the songs want to say he delivers them perfectly so when it comes to sexy theme songs he could deliver them without being overreacting to visualize it. I showed his mvs to my sister and she said it was amazing that he could emit sexiness even with fully clothed

Being honest I feel like we are so spoiled as an exo-l by their vocals. I didn't know before what does it mean when people used to say they eat CDS. Some songs actually better live. I mean don't take me wrong they are also humans and they do have some bad days, some stages I saw had some problems with mics and mixing, may be that day vocals were not so good, and so on. But majority performances they do life are incredible.

Baekhyun is one of idol that can do it all. His vocal is stunning, he obviously can dance (he had few solo part on EXO stage) and he even can do rap (you can check on EXO CBX Horololo for Baekhyun rapping). He even do acting, you can check on his acting on Kdrama Scarlet Heart Ryeo and EXO next door :)
