My fatigue, is so extreme that I don't know how to describe it.

Well, my family would use the word LAZY..... You don't do anything, sit at home, not working etc.
We are not. Me for example, I can barely function even though my numbers are "normal". I haven't worked in 2 years because in addition to fatigue, depression has gone to severe suicidal status and high anxiety. Everything is correlated and it's hard to get everything in line and find a doctor that will actually listen to you as oppose to just going by normal test results.

I agree that think we are lazy. I was high energy clean freak my whole life. Now hashimoto's. Hypothyroidism and depression

@@CentralTexasPuppies I am sorry you deal with this too. I have also had crazy suicidal thoughts. I just remind myself that is just physical also I can not drink alcohol. It really makes me depressed

As a Naturopath working with GPs here in Australia I find your information tremendously valuable. Weight gain and fatigue are huge problems for the majority of my clients (and personally too) I'm soaking all this up like a sponge! Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Doc 10-12min , you just spoke like you are observing me, in my home.
I am facing everything you've said, in the exact same order. I really don't want this vicious cycle, I dying to get out of this. Be energetic and work.
I am just 29 and I hate to be this way, 60 year olds do better than me and sometimes ppl don't understand why a young girl would be so "lazy", that's what people term it.
Trust me I am tired of being labelled lazy, I know it's my medical condition, I am a dentist, so I understand the medical aspect of all this, but the others don't, I just want to get active.

I wasn't expecting to find someone reading my story! Very well spoken, thank you. I came here trying to find answers, my fatigue is at a all time low and I'm trying to change my diet. Quit coffee today, trying to ride the withdrawals have the worst headache but noticed I wasn't on edge last usual. The 3pm drop in energy is so true and I didnt know others felt that way too. I've tried to seek help with a specialist and a it did was disappoint and pizz me off. Why don't doctors bring up
Diets? The last thing I need is to be e blood taken lol

Thanks for the info! When I was first dx’ed with hypothyroidism my tsh was at a 21.04 a few years ago… While my medication is still being adjusted… 225mcgs of levo …. And I’m still I’m always sleepy, my memory is trash, and weight gain. This gives me hope that I might feel ‘normal’ someday… 🤞🏽

I am so glad I found this talk. I am one who thought that by taking my medication (naturethroid) 3x65mg per day, that everything should be better. I have been dragging myself through the day for the past twelve months thinking this is as good as it gets. Today, Saturday at the end of a busy week, I am so fatigued that I can barely function.

I am from India . And I have my thyroid removed 5 years ago. But my main issue is that I have lot of fatigue in the morning. It is extremely difficult to get up in the morning. And during the day too I don't have energy to do anything, not even read a book which I was extremely fond of before my surgery. Here in India doctors usually give Levothyroxine and I am talking 125 mcg of it daily and it seems the harmone conversion is taking place normally as my T3 Levels are also in normal range but still I have this fatigue. Should I take vitamin B12 and some other supplements ? Kindly suggest which and how to take to treat this fatigue. It really sucks now. Would be grateful to you.

My TSH was 210 before medication and is 134 now. Even with these dangerously high TSH numbers I have energy all day. l am a very fit 55 year old and do not have most of the typical symptoms. My diet is whole food vegan with supplements (with the help of a vegan dietician). My main problem is hair loss and medication did not help even when on a higher dose with normal TSH numbers. I have hyperthyroid side effects on the higher dose. The endocrinologist was not much help and now I have an appointment with a naturopathic doctor.

Lipstick- lemons I'm with you on that! It's not as simple as everyone likes to think. I have hashimotos and I've been on all different types of thyroid medication. The doctors told me once my thyroid levels are in normal range I would feel fine. I only wish that was true, my hormones are completely in range and I still don't feel any better.

Do a parasites cleanse, and have your minerals level checked. I use the body bio minerals test kit which helps me a figure out which minerals my body needs. A good mult-minerals and multi vitamins supplements, iodine and D3 work wonderful for increase energy. If you have parasites I don't care what you eat or what supplements you take you won't be able to heal until you get them out. Also getting rid of grains and sugar helps as well.
