The best Gowan albums were the ones that used Peter Gabriel's musicians, so great, I didn't start liking 90's music until I was introduced to Nine Inch Nails from The Crow's soundtrack, followed by the usual suspects, (Marilyn Manson, Korn, Rammatein etc.), but I never stopped loving Gowan, there's just something about him. I disagree. If David Bowie can be considered "rock", and he can, then this song is rock too. Yes, it is about cosmetics, women, a bit repetitive, and not as classic as "Strange Animal" or "Criminal Mind" for me but it has the elements of rock. Or do you disqualify songs as rock if they are piano focused or don't have blazing guitar solos?
Bruh, calm down, this may not be 80's Glam Rock or Hard Rock, but it is rock. Rock has a strong baseline and driving drum beat, (as opposed to the simpler rhythmic pulse used in pop music), and uses actual musical instruments played by skilled musicians that are electronically amplified (i.e: "rock instruments"). Pop music centers around a vocalist (nowadays an auto-tuned vocalist), rather than the quality and complexity of the musical composition, (this is of course far from being a complete description and comparison of these two musical genres, but I'll stop here for all our sakes). ;) Anyway, there's a ton of rock sub-genres, and this definitely fits into one of them. It's gonna be okay.

The best Gowan albums were the ones that used Peter Gabriel's musicians, so great, I didn't start liking 90's music until I was introduced to Nine Inch Nails from The Crow's soundtrack, followed by the usual suspects, (Marilyn Manson, Korn, Rammatein etc.), but I never stopped loving Gowan, there's just something about him. I disagree. If David Bowie can be considered "rock", and he can, then this song is rock too. Yes, it is about cosmetics, women, a bit repetitive, and not as classic as "Strange Animal" or "Criminal Mind" for me but it has the elements of rock. Or do you disqualify songs as rock if they are piano focused or don't have blazing guitar solos?

Bruh, calm down, this may not be 80's Glam Rock or Hard Rock, but it is rock.
Rock has a strong baseline and driving drum beat, (as opposed to the simpler rhythmic pulse used in pop music), and uses actual musical instruments played by skilled musicians that are electronically amplified (i.e: "rock instruments").
Pop music centers around a vocalist (nowadays an auto-tuned vocalist), rather than the quality and complexity of the musical composition, (this is of course far from being a complete description and comparison of these two musical genres, but I'll stop here for all our sakes). ;)
Anyway, there's a ton of rock sub-genres, and this definitely fits into one of them.
