thats apples vs oranges... tableau is data visualization alteryx is more like ETL

Agree with @Herbet. Tableau is a visualization tool and Alteryx is a data Prep and Blend tool. Now, Tableau offers a tool called "Prep" and Alteryx has introduced Visualytics for visualizing data in a workflow. Alteryx also makes those visuals available as dashboard functionality in the Gallery. So there is a slight amount of overlap but the tools are still very distinct.

Use input tool on yxdb and output tool to xlsx.

I need to reconcile 2 data set to ensure they are in sync. Is this something Alteryx could handle?

Yes. Best way is to have an ID or Primary Key field on which to match. If that doesn't exist you can use the Fuzzy Matching Tool (it is not as clean, but can be done).
